Krillin’s ringtone is the One Piece opening “We Are” because the Japanese voice actor is Mayumi Tanaka aka Luffy, but fun fact in the dub Krillin is voiced by Usopp’s va Sonny Strait & he isn’t the only Straw Hat in this movie with Vegeta, Piccolo, & Shenron’s va Christopher Sabat who voices Zoro, Whis’ va Ian Sinclair who voices Brook, Future Trunks’ va Eric Vale who voices Sanji, & Agent Mai’s va Colleen Clinkenbeard who voices Luffy

The "Freeza Freeza Freeza" song is the same one from DBZA when Freeza got his new scouter from Ginyu. It's name is "F" by Maximum the Hormone.

The Japanese VA for Krillin also voices Luffy, so they made a nice reference. It also sorta works in the dub, because the dub VA for Krillin voices Ussop in the One Piece dub.

RIP Chris Ayers, Frieza's voice actor passed away a few years ago from Stage 4 COPD. Dude was super nice, great to fans, and absolutely dedicated to his craft. He suffered to bring the character to life and loved what he did.

Just to avoid confusion with the colors, what we saw in the last movie was base Goku with god ki (that's why his hair kept its normal shape), now this movie introduced a super saiyan using god ki, now named super saiyan blue.

How'd y'all forget. Even in DBZ:A, Dende beefed him up to 2 wishes, but nixed immortality.

7:20 This was a song that was using Frieza and DBZ characters as a metaphora of real world wars and dictatorships. When Toriyama listened to the song, he decided to bring back Frieza and write the Resurrection F arc. They still included the song in the movie. How great.

The fun thing is that the "Freeza Freeza Freeza" song is a LOT older than this movie- it's called "F" and it was made unofficially as a DBZ tribute by Maximum the Hormone- Toriyama was actually inspired for this movie's plot when he listened to that song for the first time! Imagine making a fan song about your fave character and it inspires the creator to bring that character back in a whole dang movie Edit: also I know youre prolly way ahead anyway, but going through Super without Boom having seen Boo feels off, like even if you can't cover that on-screen, if it's plausible he should be given time to catch up Also you oughta check out the OVA "Yo! Son Goku and His Friends Return!" its canon to Super, and takes place inbetween it and the Boo arc.

5:40 So Dende upgraded the dragonballs to include 2 wishes. If Shenron is summoned and only 1 wish is granted it allows the dragonballs to become active sooner. Therefore instead of a year it would take only 6 months. Though I believe if he was to be summoned after 6 months he would only grant 1 wish, 6 months after that would have been a full year so goes back to 2. I don't believe we ever saw this happen except for the DB Super Manga

The Frost Demons are born warriors, hence they've never had to train since they're born with unnaturally high power levels. If a Frost Demon actually put in effort through rigorous training. . .they could become strong enough to overpower not only Beerus, but even Whis.

Jaco is in fact a Toriyama creation, his story was told in a short manga written just before the Super movies came out. He's friends with Bulma's sister and was originally sent to Earth to stop the first saiyan invasion.

The song that plays while Freezas being revived is called "F" by Maximum the Hormone. They wrote it using Freeza's acts of genocide as an allegory for the oppression of Tibet by the Chinese Government in 1995. It came out in 2008, so a while before this movie. They also did one of the Theme Songs for Death Note.

The million zeni in the beginning looks like so little because it’s analogous to the Japanese yen. A million yen is only about $10k (actually closer to $7k due to the poor exchange rate of the yen). A single yen is basically a penny. That’s why the stack was so small.

Start after the episodes that rehash Battle of Gods and Resurrection F, but after that there's DBS Broly and Super Hero, both of which are awesome in their own respects. What you were saying about wanting to see Goku and Vegeta fighting together. While that would be awesome, you know what would be even cooler? Goku and Frieza fighting side by side. Like that'll ever happen right?

Jaco was actually trapped on earth for awhile which can explain why he knows so much and could lure Freeza soldiers into that trap. If your wondering hes from his own manga Jaco the Galactic Patrol Man which was a Dragon Ball spin-off in mid 2000's by Toriyama He came to earth to investigate a potential Saiyan invasion which he later dismisses as a false alarm. (really was Goku landing on Earth) But his ship and communications is damaged so Dr. Omori is repairing it over the duration of the manga. Who is Dr. Omori well he was the lead scientist on making a time machine for the Government. Which he no longer trusts and then lived alone on the island the research was done (where his wife died because of it) and its implied his research was later the blue-print Bulma uses in developing her time machine. Also during the course of the story Jaco get tangled up with Tights and does most his adventures with her, she turned out to be Bulma's older sister. Which connects Bulma to Omori and him to Capsule Corps in his later years.

Frieza died on Earth, so he went to Earth's Hell. EDIT: Also, Future Trunks' voice actor has actually passed out in the recording booth.

The form Goku was in when first battling frieza was beyond Saiyan God where he can use 50% of the god ki without transforming into Super Saiyan God Blue which Goku adding the Super Saiyan 50% multiplier to the God form.

If you want to go a little faster, since you watched the movies you can skip the first few parts of Super, there are small moments that they added but other than that it's literally just a retelling.

You wondered if Frieza has control over what his forms look like. He actually does, as matter of fact. His "Final Form" us actually his true form, it's what he looked like from birth. He was ridiculously strong from the start, so he made those other horned forms to suppress his power, like security locks. When he unlocked his new form, he made it Gold to mock the Super Saiyan transformation.

I may be wrong but I don't see any comments clearing this up so I'll do my best here. In DBZ we see Nappa and Vegeta in space with their space pods open so it's alwasy been a debate on wether saiyans can survive in spase or not, but at the very least they can hold their breathe or breath longer than we can. and in the movie they say Vegeta didn't die, he was actually persuing Freieza after he blew up the panet. so presumeably, if the timeline wasnt reversed Vegeta would have just ... lived on... sadly

The dragon balls can grant more than 1 wish thanks to Dendi's upgrades. However, the number can lessen thanks to the severity of the wish used. If it was like Namek's dragon ball with 3 wishes, the power of each will be scaled down. So 1 or 2 is good if you are bringing planets back.

You saw before the intro song of the movie. In Dragon Ball Z abridged. Is the ringtone call Freeza asked for the updated scouters.

Clearing up a few things. 1. Frieza training to become God level isn't as far fetched as you guys think. Goku was born with a power level of 5 and trained intensively with the two greatest martial arts masters in the WORLD - Master Roshi & his Grandpa Gohan. Then he trained even further with Korin and Kami - the diety of Earth. It took him over TWENTY YEARS to get to a power level over 300 and became the greatest fighter on the planet. His brother Raditz came by one day with a power level of 1200 and utterly stomped Goku without any effort. Fadt forward past the Saiyan Saga all the way up until the Frieza Arc. Goku trains far harder than ever before and only after being brought back from the brink of death does he gain a power of 3 million. Where Frieza reveals that his true power at 100% is 120 MILLION. He NEVER trained a day in his life before and OBTAINED this level of power. It wasnt until Goku obtained Super Saiyan that he could eclipse this power. Now imagine this person born with such a high power ACTUALLY training and pushing past their limits, they'd be virtually UNSTOPPABLE. That's what Frieza has done. 2. Goku was only vulnerable to Sorbet's beam was because Super Saiyan Blue is all about COMPLETE Ki control. The SLIGHTEST hesitation and your power will drop along with it, IMMENSELY. Same way Goku after fully mastering Super Saiyan during the Cell Saga, he could stay permanently in Super Saiyan while having the strength of a normal average, every day person (hence why Krillin could hurt him with a rock) when he isn't in battle, because Saiyans need to be in "battle mode" for their powers to be at peak strength, if they aren't, they'll become as weak as a regular person. This didnt happen because Sorbet's beam is able to destroy multiple universes like Super Saiyan God can do lol

This movie and show Super showed why frieza is the fan favorite villain...frieza came back to life and trained for the first time in his life and surpassed goku new level of power which he trained for years....that is scary but super impressive
