Just imagine if during the breakup scene just before Lola made Oscar look worse than the end of the world, Oscar slapped Angie after their breakup! Oscar: Sharks are coming to get me! Angie: AND.. THEY.. SHOULD!!!! Actually, maybe that would be funny after all (not because it’s a man slapping a woman, but because Angie has “nice girl syndrome” which has thankfully been dropped in Club Oscar because it really is an improvement over the movie… and the game)

@@shola.i8262 Yeah, like for one he's got a lot of stereotypical "gay mannerisms" so to speak, being more effeminate and all. His dad wants him to "be a shark" which is similar to parents of gay boys telling them to "be a man", and also he basically "comes out" to Oscar as vegetarian and talks about how he hasn't told anyone else and all that. Now as an adult it feels pretty obvious what they were going for but I totally didn't notice as a child haha

I was shocked by how little I liked it after all these years. Still wasn't bad enough to justify the level of criticism though. It's not EXCEPTIONALLY bad so the criticisms, whilst often valid, are just overblown.
