Think I heard it uncensored somewhere and they say something along the lines of “ remember kids if there’s you don’t like all you have to do is threaten people with violence”
If I remember correctly when they went to Comedy Central with an episode about showing Mohammed Comedy Central told them they wouldn’t air that episode so they then decided to make an episode criticizing the censorship instead.
Fun fact: The reason the moral of the episode that was bleeped is because the morale was that if you don't want to be made fun of, all you need are guns and bombs and to instill fear and be willing to hurt people, the only true power is violence.
Kyle: You see, I learned something today throughout this whole ordeal. We’ve all wanted to show things that we weren’t allowed to show, but it wasn’t because of some magic goo it was because of the magical power of threatening people with violence, that’s obviously the only true power. If there’s anything we’ve all learned, it’s that terrorizing people works. Jesus: That’s right don’t you see gingers, if you don’t want to be made fun of anymore. All you need are guns and bombs to get people to stop. Santa: That’s right friends, all you need to do is instill fear, and be willing to hurt people and you can get whatever you want. The only true power is violence Stan: Yeah
Yeah…I understand that it’s supposed to be satire but at the same time people can REALLY mess up and take it seriously. Sad truth of the world. The fact that the whole thing got censored is kinda chilling though.
The reason why kyles speech was completely censored near the end was actually really dark, the full speech was originally uncensored until it reached Comedy Central and they received threats from a muslim terrorist organisation and they threatened to assassinate Matt and Trey over the showing of Muhammad and the overall episode in general, this made Comedy Central permanently censor Kyle’s speech as it was indirectly roasting the terrorists, saying that the only way people get to listen is through threats. If they had uncensored it, the show’s creators would have been killed. This is only time South Park has lost
As a Muslim I still find it hilarious, when I was kid and when they showed prophet Mohammed (S.A.W)( I think they did) my sister quickly switched the channel cuz she thought we were in trouble, now It’s stupid when a Muslim goes apeshit over an image of him like someone just fucked their mom, if anyone is curious the reason why Mohammed didn’t want anyone to show his image is cuz when an artist asked him if he could draw him, he said no cuz he did want to people to start worshipping his image instead of God, now Muslims are treating his image as some holy deity basically doing the opposite of what he wanted
As a muslim i am happy what they did tbh. They could have made him a stereotypical muslim. But they actually desinged it nice. Yeah i don't agree with them drawing him. But come on it could have been worse
Also, it's a bit ironic that many muslims are weirdly okay when it's the other prophets face that shows up, like moses and jesus. I remember having a book about the story of prophets which all the other 24 prophets have their face drawn but Muhammad is just his name floating around. Though, some muslim country did banned The Prince of Egypt for the same reason why we are not supposed to see a drawing of Muhammad face, except it's moses.
@@emmuemmu492 the difference between Jesus and Moses is that isn't it taboo to draw pictures of them, whereas it's a huge taboo in most Muslim communities
The reason Barbara Streisand is a mecha is because in one of the very early episodes she turned into a mecha kaiju when she got pissed off when the boys didn't like her singing. Then she fought the lead singer of the cure who is also able to turn into a kaiju. Every single person or group in 200 & 201 had at least 1 episode dedicated to them prior, whether they be the ginger kids, kanye, mickey mouse, rob reiner, or paris hilton.
my dog is dying. she can barely stand or walk. she isn't eating, she is hardly drinking. i have to pick her up and take her outside when she needs to pee. i don't know what to do. home doesn't feel like home. her tail still wags when she sees me. her eyes still light up when i walk over to pet her. but i know that even though she is still living, she is suffering. she will most lightly be put down sunday. nothing feels real. thank you spilling the milk, for giving me something to watch while i sit by her and pet her. thank you for making my last moments with her a little more bearable. edit: she just died, on the way to the vet to get her euthanized Maggy Preston died with my hand on her head. Nothing will ever be the same
I need to know whether the guys actually knew that Scott Tenorman's scenes were literally based on when Joker tortured Commissioner Gordon in Batman: The Killing Joke or if their comparing him to Joker was a lucky coincidence.
The story makes way more sense if you have seen all the episodes before it Since it is filled with references to past episodes most of which you have not seen So Barbra Streisand being a mecha robot and the cartmans dad saga, or the gingers being there at all, the ending with Tom cruise on the moon, or Cartmans hand puppet. All of it was shown in earlier episodes
As a Buddist myself, it's kinda funny to see lord Buddah doing lines especially because one of our 5 precepts is to refrain from intoxication that cloud the mind like drugs. Especially because reaching Nirvana is the ultimate high and technically lines of coke would take you there.
It so sad how censored the episode was. Muhadmid was meant to be shown during part two with the moral of either everything ok to be made fun of or nothing. But after litteral bomb threat fox force the creators to censor muhamid his name and the moral
@@Midget32 they got death threat for makeing a joke. The whole thing is that either everything is able to be made fun of or nothings ok. If this was bad enough to be censored then by that logic any jabs at a religion should be censored
@@icemarvel0791 it's ok to make fun of the religion, it's another thing when u start doing something that's just a straight up mockery & attack against a religion that doesn't serve any purpose but to say fuck u
That wasn't Jennifer Lopez in Vietnam. That was Mitch Conner. 200 & 201 had a lot of references to South Park lore. You need to watch other episodes before, to get the context.
Kyles speech: That’s because there is no goo, Mr. Cruise. You see, I learned something today. Throughout this whole ordeal, we’ve all wanted to show things that we weren’t allowed to show, but it wasn’t because of some magic goo. It was because of the magical power of threatening people with violence. That’s obviously the only true power. If there’s anything we’ve all learned, it’s that terrorizing people works.
Spilling the Milk, you guys’ reactions to this unhinged South Park episodes along with other names franchises you binge, are absolutely fucking hilarious!
Guys the ginger joke literally started from the episode where Kyle turn Cartman ginger 😂 btw will we ever se you react to the end of the south park covid lol?
I still cant, every time cartman cries, it’s for a dumb reason, it’s so retarded how cartman didn’t even care if he basically is the reason his father isn’t there.
It's so weird seeing people watch 200/201 when they've apparently seen no other episodes so they don't get all the callbacks. Edit: OK, they know Scott Tenorman.
They banned the David Blane episode because it had an appearance of Mohammed. Funny thing about that, no one said shit about it at the time. It wasn’t until the murder of some cartoonists in Europe a few years later that South Park did a feature about the censorship issue, and Comedy Central wanted to censor Mohammed from those episodes. South Park pointed out they had already featured Mohammed before, with no criticism. Of course, instead of having a spine and realizing the hypocrisy, CC retroactively banned the older episode. The whole thing completely proved Matt and Trey’s point. There are a metric ton of callbacks in the 2nd episode of this compilation, because it was the 201st episode event.
For those who want to know Kyle's speech: He basically said we all deserve the freedom to make fun of others and be made fun of, unless you threaten terrorist-level violence, then you can censor whatever you want! And he says it with a happy tone, like he learned a valuable lesson.
Here’s the speech Kyle: You see, I learned something today throughout this whole ordeal. Also, for context, two of the episodes you watched where the 200th episode special, where they call back to literally everything that's ever happened on the show. That's why you were so confused.
@@JohnSmithsu2006 I'm not sure, but I don't think they're considered canon. I know Jesus vs. Frosty is fictional in South Park, there's an episode where the boys create the short.
17:02 This is what they said. Kyle: You see, I learned something today throughout this whole ordeal. We’ve all wanted to show things that we weren’t allowed to show, but it wasn’t because of some magic goo it was because of the magical power of threatening people with violence, that’s obviously the only true power. “The magical power of threatening people with violence.” I’ve never forgotten that line, and how it was banned because it’s just too honest. You never get media being that straight with you, South Park are fearless. I was in my high school newspaper when 200-201 came out and we discussed it at length in the week after the first one before the second. I’ve scarcely been so disappointed by the outcome of a cultural event: Muhammad never being shown, but especially Kyle’s speech being censored, was a tragedy; the silencing of discussion.
@@poatatoooo It was never banned for its message it was banned because some shrimp dick extremist muslims said they were going to assassinate the creators of South Park.
They got death threats over showing Muhammad (even as a superhero), and so they made an episode making fun of the fact that they got death threats over this.
@@SparkkFX Yes it is. Not defending cartman but the early seasons do show why he totally went off the rails, he’s a product of his environment for sure lol
From what I remember the original depiction of the Super Best Friends used Mohammed with the justification that since *everyone* in South Park has a generic face it wasn't really a portrait or specific rendition of him. It's similar in concept to how a few films that have been made in the Middle East used actors to portray the prophet without showing his face.
This reaction is a very good reason why you need to watch south park chronologically. Seriously, the amount of call backs and references they missed is astounding. And unfortunately, my Asperger's require me to be unhealthy obsessed with lore and representation.
Honestly, I can't wait for you guys to react to the new Total Drama season. I just finished it and I think it's tailor-made for you guys specifically to watch.
@@Pyramanager this episode is making fun of the original epsidoe in where they made an epsidoe anout in the show - a tv show in that show was makign a show with MOhammed in it. and THAT got a crowd of Muslims outside of COmedy Central angry bc they were advertising showing the prophet mohammed on TV. and thats a big no-no to that relgion. in the end, it was a gigantic troll bc he wasnt even IN the episode,. it was a joke.
@@GooFly-v3j It wasnt a troll. They wanted to put Mohammad in the episode but were forced not to.out of fear of terrorist attacks (again). Its why they even censored kyles speech and ultimately completely banned these 2 episodes
The part when cartman is crying about his dad being a ginger is one of the funniest and one of the most fucked up moments I have ever seen on television and I can’t help but burst out laughing whenever I see it
The trouble with 200 and 201 is that the whole point is that it’s sort of the Infinity war of South Park. It’s all about references and callbacks to everything from the last 200 episodes. So if you didn’t watch them all you’re gonna be lost
The saddest and funniest thing about the 200 episode special is that the writers did not intend to censor Muhammad but was without their knowledge. I and many others assumed it was meant to be ironic or something that he was so heavily censored when he actually wasn't.
This was the 200th episode and to celebrate they pretty much used every antagonist they've ever used so if you haven't seen every episode before them then this episode makes no sense😂
The infamous 200 and 201. They have to be the most controversial in TV history. It's a shame the message got censored. If anything, the censorship proved one thing, it is that terrorism does work when people are fearful of violence.
they probably shouldve wached the jennifer lopez episode before this one and the cartman's dad two parter and the mecha-striesand episode and the ginger episode and probably the whale episode too this kinda proves you cant just pick random episodes of south park to watch
I'd love to see y'all react to the two episodes, "Do The Handicapped Go To Hell?" and "Probably". They're two episodes that go one after another, and though the main plot is funny, the reason I'm asking you to watch them is because the side plot is literally insane. Great content!
Man, you guys just skipped striaght to episodes 200 and 201 with only half the context for what was happening. No wonder you were confused 😂 Also, you need to watch the other episodes with "Jennifer Lopez." It won't make the character make more sense; I just think those episodes are hilarious
What was said underneath those bleeps: “You see… I learned something today… throughout this whole ordeal, we all wanted to show things that we weren’t allowed to show. But it wasn’t because of some magic goo. It’s because of the magical power of threatening people with violence. That’s obviously the only TRUE power. If you don’t want to be made fun of anymore, all you need are guns and bombs to get people to stop” “That’s right, friends. All you need to do is instill fear and be willing to hurt people and you can get whatever you want. The only true power is violence “ “Yeah…”
The episode with all the celebrities trying to destroy South Park is a call back to a whole lot of earlier episodes so if you've seen them all it's a lot easier to understand if you haven't then you won't get most of what they are referencing.
I’ll never forget reading Kyle’s speech online after it was censored on the broadcast. “It was the magical power of threatening people with violence.” :) That line has stuck with me, how it was banned because it’s just too honest. You never get media being that straight with you, South Park are fearless. I was on my high school newspaper when 200-201 came out and we discussed it at length in the week after the first one before the second, the values at play and the ramifications for free speech. I’ve scarcely been so disappointed by the outcome of a cultural event: Muhammad never being shown, but especially Kyle’s speech being censored, was a tragedy; the silencing of discussion.
I’m not 100% sure if these ones were banned, but I don’t think Trapped In the Closet, Best Friends Forever and Merry Christmas Charlie Manson are re-aired very often
