The fact they were introduced to both O.K Ko and Harvey Birdman in the same episode, two shows with completely different yet similar vibes, and enjoyed both, makes me hopeful they’ll watch more of both in the future
I stopped watching Supernatural after about 3 seasons, so I wasn't aware of that episode until I came across a screenshot on facebook. I thought it was just like fan art at first, because the concept was so freaking weird.
Control Freak, the villain in the Teen Titans Go episode you watched, was also in the original series. The writers essentially just changed his role to a Teen Titans Go hater.
To be fair his character is still pretty much the same. It just that instead of being obsessed with various forms of movies and killing the titans. Its being obsessed with the titans and canceling them. Still a hyper critical nerd, just a new age social media one
@@darryljack6612 To be fair the best Teen Titans Go episodes includes the ones about how hated they are. On one hand, good for the creators to call out haters, on the other, some of said episodes were just lambasting people who weren't fans- like the clown one.
@@timothycarney9652 True, i think TTGO do have their bad episodes where its too much in bad taste. But i think they stride the line of calling out everyone, including themselves better than a lot of other shows.
@@darryljack6612 Indeed- I don't really care for the show, but I agree with Control Freak in the intro to this episode, the issue wasn't just that people didn't like the show, it was that cartoon network scheduled things like it was the only show they had. I don't know who the show was for with that schedule- the average mindless gag of the episode bits feel meant for little kids, but then they have all this self referencial or reference based humor, an it was available 24/7. Its really a show best watched like those gags from family guy you see on youtube- a tiny segment of humor and then back to other things... Were they expecting people to just leave their kids watching for hours and occasionally see an in joke an adult would get?
Don't forget Sailor Moon Kiss. Like... Those transformations are full on based on different Scouts. I think Starchild is from Sailor Starlights while the others are the main cast
It makes me *really* happy to see you guys react to an episode of OK K.O. Let's Be Heroes! It's an amazing show with a lot of fast-paced, memey humor and super endearing characters. I'd definitely recommend giving more episodes a watch. It's one of my favorite cartoons.
Youse need to see the Supernatural crossover with Scooby Doo. It's weird that it even happened but it oozes charm. Even the episode they crossed over into was a real one, just with the plot between the start and the unmasking different.
So glad they got to watch an episode of Harvey Birdman, really underrated show with some top tier bits. Hopefully they get around to watching the whole thing.
Remember that shorter special where the Scooby gang did a parody of The Blair Witch Project? It was called The Scooby Project and it's a little creepy, honestly.
A:"Fun fact, Grey Delisle, daphne's current voice actress, started with family fued! B:"not like it's first time control freak was used as audience insert, in the original, he referenced S.W. kid!
The Grimwood Girls! I've been wanting them to come back in a Scooby Doo series or a movie so bad. Like, the movie could skip a few years ahead for them, and have the girls enlist their old coach Shaggy to help with a mystery affecting their alma mater.
I think Batman appearing in the MAD parody is a reference to Only Fools and Horses (a famous British sitcom where in a couple episodes the main characters pretend to be Batman and Robin)
"They didn't change the designs at all" I have some news for you. This was actually a Johnny Bravo crossover episode of Scooby-Doo, not the other way around.
I miss Johnny Bravo. He was such a fun character. Surprisingly endearing because even when he's being, well, him, his heart is always in the right place.
Scooby Doo vs. Teen Titans in a Family Feud battle is such a fun concept! Omg I heard that the characters from the Ghoul School were brought back semi-recently. Wild. The Johnny Bravo x Scooby Doo crossover is top notch imo! A really good blend of both properties. “I can’t see without my glasses/I can’t be seen without my glasses” is such a hilarious and iconic line. Harvey Birdman yesss. What a fun concept for a show. Lol so much Robin. And Weird Al.
i like the outro line like they would be buying toys for you but if they were to buy toys of you and you were forced to choose and agree on the choices as a collective of who would be a Funko Pop, who would be a Youtooz and who would be a Nendoroid. its a situation with a difficult choice where you want the one who has a detailed unique face for nendoroid to challenge the skilled sculptors rather than picking the cutest which you put into the youtooz cuz its easier for them to mass produce and then here's the hard part ranking a group of three friends in which you are one of and choosing who is in last place and has to be a funko pop. its a peter griffin style question that is like the intro to a scene where he's drinking with the guys as an establishing shot.
I’d be fine if Spilling the Milk skip watching the Ghoul School movie, but after seeing how positive they were watching OK KO, I want them to check out the series. Especially the Cartoon Network crossover special and the Sonic and Tails guest star episode.
OMG THANK YOU GUYS FOR REMINDING ME HOW MUCH I LOVE OK KO!!!! it's such an amazing show!! i know you guys already have so many shows on your list to watch but like OK KO is SOOOOOOOOOO good! :)) i would become a patron to vote but i can't rn, hopefully soon tho 🙏there's also a sonic x ok ko crossover episode that goes SUPER hard i think you guys would love it :3
Probably in the minority, but yall should definitely watch more TTGO. There's something about seeing someone react to literal insanity, that is just fun to watch.
The Johnny Bravo one is the best, and you should definitely watch Harvey Birdman it's hilarious. You're missing the craziest one though, the Supernatural crossover.
You guys need to watch more O.K. K.O. as this wasn't even the most insane crossover that show did. They also crossovered with Captain Planet, Sonic the Hedgehog, the creator's own webcomic, and the entirety of Cartoon Network's history. The show is crazy but cool. And really crazy.
You guys HAVE to watching more crossovers! It's so awesome and fitting with yall watching what the Cartoon Network Crossovers does The OK.OK did an one epsoide and it's all the characters that you guys did watched! [Teen Titans, Ben 10 and Steven Universe] into VERY GOOD storyline with OK.KO! I might say that... Ok.OK did an episode crossovers on an blue hedgehog👀👀👀
Velma and Johnny is a power couple. And just a so everyone knows, one of the bumpers on Cartoon Network revealed that Johnny and Velma not only dated, but were serious enough that Johnny would ask her to marry him.
To anyone who doesn't know, Harvey birdman attorney at law was Stephen Colbert at his peak. It was an lovingly adult re imaging of Hana Barbera cartoons.
A modern Johnny Bravo would be so hard to pull off today, not just because of sensitive parents but also because his character modernized would probably end up giving off weird Tate vibes. The only way I see it work is if Johnny was unironically acting THE SAME WAY as he was in the 90s show. Like, put him in the 2010s and have Suzie as an adult dealing with her chauvinistic "uncle" figure.
Control Freak was in the original teen titans cartoon. I haven’t seen much teen titans go except for the movie that crossed over with Super Hero Girls which also used control freak to bring the cartoons together. Honestly I think control freak works well in this show
The one screen they said they reconquized were spoilers Johnny and Velma put on the wrong glass remind me of an a scene similar in schoolboy doo and the witches ghost.
Honestly, The Teen Titans Go being the only thing Cartoon Network airs anymore is the single most valid piece of criticism against the show. When a show becomes a crutch for a Network, It stops being good. Cancel TTG. Cancel Spongebob. Cancel the Simpsons. Let something else have some time on the air.
As someone who does enjoy ttgo, that is something that is very valid to be pissed at. There were other shows on the network that should have had equal air time. Though the fault lies more with CN than with TTGO
There was actually a Cartoon Network special short where Johnny Bravo and Velma dated and fell in love. Johnny proposed but she sadly broke it off because her career came first and she wasn’t ready to settle down. I consider that shit canon.
If they're doing cartoon crossovers, they could probably make a video double, maybe even triple, this length from Simpsons crossovers alone. Maybe they could react to the Simpsons/Family Guy crossover.
Yeah you dudes need to watch more O.K K.O. That show goes hard. And the Ghoul School movie for context. Also the episode you just watch of it was a trans person reunion metaphor.
18:09 That person in the purple cloak? They've been in another Scooby Doo x Batman crossover before. A really, really old movie that had things like houses turning upside down, junkyard shenanigans, and "ZOINKS I CAN'T SEE WITHOUT MY GLASSES". It was weird as fuck
