To be honest, the third movie out of the trilogy is my favourite; more, better characters and the whole brozone thing just gave Branch a whole lot of more angst Edit: Guys help I don't think I've ever had these many like before 😅

Me and my friends have had in depth conversations about troll biology, evolution, and culture based on the three movies and the implications are interesting yet kinda freaky. My favorite theory that has come up so far is that they are some super fungus , their hair being some sort of mycelium, that has evolved to be more like other creatures, which explains their hair's abilities to super grow and being able to control it like a limb and how they seem to have drug like attributes (they make you happy when eaten and you can absorb their talent essence), like some mushroom varieties. It's also interesting that they reproduce through their hair, and it seems like they have the ability to reproduce asexually (tiny diamond is literally a smaller version of guy diamond and no parent is mentioned) and sexually (poppy and viva aren't identical to their dad implying another parent.). These theories we've thought up are so batshit but also so fun.
One of my biggest questions about the Trolls universe is the actual environment. Pop kingdom and Bergen town look relatively normal, if not weird in texture. But if you watch Trolls 2, in the country music place, their soil is fluff? What is this environment? Also, there is no real water ever scene.
@@Sharkgobrrrr Well If I remember right aren't the textures in and around the pop village like a felty texture? I think most the environments are supposed to be some sort of felty/ fabric-y texture, hence the fluff soil, but that begs the question of whether its actually felt, fluff, ect. Like could you eat the felt leaf?

@@DanteKrystal if you ever feel like doing the deep research as alot of it is buried. Slaves were simple animals. Their skin and bones used for furniture and makeup, the "meat" eaten. There were specific breeding houses for this purpose as well. I personally know this from learning in my AP world history classes and in more detail in college history courses. Not many will say but from the documentation not destroyed or buried, it very much was a casual thing the most by those in higher standing or those who simply owned to many "useless" slaves.
This movie is a guilty pleasure for me. I avoided it for years until I was forced to watch it at my little cousins’ house last year and I didn’t find it bad. Made fun of it, but saw it harmless and actually made want to watch the sequels.
Im 30 and i legitimately enjoy them. They're dumb kids movies but they're actually pretty decent and clearly the crew had fun making them plus there's enough little stuff to hook adults. Freaking Parliament Funkadelic is in the 2nd movie for example.

it's actually insane that my SCHOOL let the kids vote for what "musical" they wanted to do as a play and apparently trolls counted as a musical. the insane thing is that all the younger grades weren't allowed in it but still got to vote. they literally all picked trolls and we did a stupid musical on this weird movie
I remember liking this movie back in 2016 but looking back it’s not amazing but I watched World Tour and Band Together recently and I can confirm they’re SO MUCH BETTER than the first trolls
I dunno i always saw the trolls as an analogy for prescription antidepressants like the burgens historically CANNOT FEEL JOY and Poppy is just like "being happy is a choice actually 🥺" and then suddenly the burgens are happy and it has a huge emphasis on toxic positivity without outright adressing or challenging it and all the characters are constantly disrespecting branch's feelings and boundaries the whole movie always gave me the ick Edit: FINALLY SOMEONE SAID IT IVE BEEN FOAMING AT THE MOUTH FOR YEARS ABOUT THIS

Let us not forget that, at one point, eating out your girl was a treatment for her depression/hysteria. Maybe eating the trolls to cure your depression is symbolic of how we should be eating each other.

I mean I’ve seen this movie a few times because my daughter loves this movie, and I mean….its not bad…it’s basically if you like music from the past 30 years then it won’t be too bad
The Trolls series of movies is easily my second favorite set of movies from DreamWorks behind KFP. Every part of the franchise just makes me feel happy.

Megamind is perfectly okay without a sequel - the ending made it so there didn't need to be one. trolls didn't need sequels either, but the team behind it definitely did ther best on making it so that the sequels do still make sense to the original story. tl;dr: megamind doesn't need a sequel and they probably shouldn't make one

It may be because I watched the movie with family relatives who were roughly five years old around the time the movie released, but I honestly love the first Trolls movie (which will definitely confuse people with how divisive the series is). I can’t say I’m a huge stan for the franchise since I never watched (or have no recollection of) the following movies, which were really polarizing to many from what I heard, and it’s by no means my favorite Dreamworks movie (not in my Top 10), but this first movie is honestly special to me.

Dreamworks Trolls and boss baby I never seen. As a kid Troll in Central Park killed trolls for me. Month 6 asking for Good Burger 🍔 and Dreamworks Wallace and Gromit curse of the Wererabbit 🐣🦔
