There are many comments here regarding mask wearing. This gathering was for an eisteddfod for students with disabilities. Some of whom were very vulnerable. Staff, guests - parents and grandparents did not have to wear masks - they chose to. There were many elderly guests as well. The convenor and adjudicator for the eisteddfod were also very elderly and volunteered their time to run this eisteddfod. Sean and Marley developed their performance skills and their love of performance at this same eisteddfod. They came to visit, speak and perform for their retiring teacher who was a driving force behind this special eisteddfod. Please do not turn this into a mask vs no mask thing. As teachers of students with significant additional needs we were had covid guidelines in place long after the general public ceased to have any. Please think before blurting.
