We went on a Vacation Cruise! 

Help us settle the debate from this video: Which is better, chocolate or vanilla ice cream?

As a Puerto Rican, I'm happy to inform you that Mufongo is indeed made with plantains! Glad you enjoyed one of our many many dishes and went out of your way to support an actual local, Puerto Rican owned restaurant.

I fully expected Emily to get to floor 17 and Ed already be there after taking the elevator because that's what I'd do. 😂

I love how Ed has gotten more comfortable with being on camera. I enjoy seeing Emily but seeing both Ed and Emily together is just so heart warming ❤

I'm happy that these two did a cruise ship tour because they point out all the nerdy things I'm interested in. For example, automatic bathroom doors 😂

Ooooo Dragonsong! You'll love it. My dad was a high school librarian and he would often recommend that for reluctant readers because it's a good story that just pulls you in. And if you want to go all the way, well, Anne McCaffrey was a very prolific author before she passed away.

Mofongo recipe from my Puerto Rican mom: fry plantains in garlic and butter until the outside is barely crispy then use a mortar and pestal to mash the plantains with more garlic and bacon. They will be crispy and soft so they will take the shape of the bowl. Then you flip it over to get the dome shape. We eat it with Mayo-ketchup. Mix ketchup, mayo, and garlic to make a sauce to pour on it. We usually eat it with pork

OMG, *Dragonsong*! That book was my *childhood*. It's probably the thing that sparked my obsession with dragons back in the day; it wouldn't be hard to draw a direct line from me getting that book to me owning a crested gecko today. That trilogy and the main Dragonriders of Pern trilogy were the books I brought with me to college to keep from getting lonely. Such fond memories - I hope you like it Emily!

Anne McAffrey's Pern books were a big part of my reading in middle and high school. I feel you may enjoy them. Dragonsong is one of my favorites of the series.

Emily! I highly recommend ALL of the Dragon Riders of Pern books, if you enjoy Dragonsong! Dragonsong is the first in the Harper Hall Trilogy, and it takes place alongside the first 3 Pern books (Dragonflight, Dragonquest, and The White Dragon). They're some of my favorite books I've ever read!

Puerto Rican here. Mofongo is amazing and an excellent choice. One of my favorite dishes.

As a boricua mofongo is very easy to make . Boil or fry plantains and once it's done and soft add pork rinds . I highly recommend going down to Puerto Rico during the winter because the weather is amazing.

At the end of May me and my family went on cruise as well and it was also a carnival cruise!😅 We all had an amazing time! The edible straws I had were the chocolate and strawberry ones, I found them to be a great alternative instead of plastic. What would you say your favorite part about it was? (Mine was the ice cream because I could have as much as I wanted whenever I wanted it)

Chocolate is my favorite Flavor. Loved the birds on your trip. When I was in Puerto Rico in 1978 I ate turtle steak and plantains. I felt sorry for eating turtle meat after that.

I always wanted to go on a cruise until I found out that they dump every piece of trash and all the human waste including chemicals directly into the ocean. I just can't be part of that.🤢🤮😡😫

From my Florida vacation I think the best place to go herping is an outdoor restaurant. I got a ton of lizard pictures without having to leave my chair. Just find one with a lot of "do not feed the lizards" signs. LOL

Alright, I may have seen the boat you guys were on yesterday! We were driving home from our beach house in Connecticut all the way back to Virginia and we saw a boat with the same red white and blue fin on the top at a port. Even if it wasn’t the boat you guys went on I still love the video and the boat we saw❤.

Yay for visiting my home country, Puerto Rico. And visiting one of my favorite places on the island, El Yunque, the rainforest. I was going to explain what mofongo was but I see a lot of other people in the comments beat me to it. :) To chip in on the ice cream debate, chocolate is better as a stand alone flavor, vanilla is better if you're adding toppings.

`My brothers and I did many experiments with the elevators on this ship and found that unless you were going more than eight floors down, the stairs were faster than the elevators. After eight floors, it was about even. Going up, 4-5 floors was faster via stairs, after that fatigue meant the elevator was a wiser option.
