We Went To Buc-ee's Grand Opening In Springfield, MO! It Was Amazing!
We were on our way to Branson, MO, for a Christmas getaway, when we started seeing billboards for the opening of a new Buc-ee's store in Springfield, MO. We had never been to one, so we decided we were going to stop in and check it out on our way back home!. Turns out, the day westopped was actually their Grand Opening day, and the Mayor of Springfield was going to be there to preside over the offiical ribbon-cutting ceremony! It was quite an experience, and we enjoyed everything about it. There was a huge crowd of people there, along with reporters from the local tv stations. The founder of Buc-ee's, Arch "Beaver" Aplin, was also there, and he spoke at the ceremony, and then stayed to talk to anyone who wanted to meet him. The store is very big, at 53,000 square feet, and this Buc-ee's brings over 200 full-time jobs to the area. The employees were great, the food was great, and as they say, "Buc-ee's is a destination all by itself!" Go if you get a chance! Thanks for watching.
