We Went To Help With The Kentucky Floods. It was a Disaster :(

As a Kentuckian, I appreciate it. This was my grandpa's life when he was a kid and it was completely ruined. He is 80 years old and he went and helped out. Thankyou

We had a huge flood event in a small town called Lismore in Australia. The water was over 14 meters high through to whole town, lapping the bottom of your classic Mac Donald’s sign. The streets you captured in this vlog is exactly what Lismore looked like in February this year, two story homes that were above the 100 year flood level whipped out completely not even their roofs showing. No food, no fresh water, fuel stations leaked all their tanks so every house that had mud in it became a toxic environment. The work you did over those two days would have meant the world to that community, don’t forget about them because when the time comes to reopen their businesses and go back to their homes they will need your tourism money and your drop off at the local fuel station to get their town back on its feet. Thankyou for all that you do!

I love volunteering with helping hands! I used to live in South TX and we went to Houston to help with Hurricane Katrina cleanup. Humbling to say the least.

It was so great to serve alongside y’all this past weekend. It was nice to meet Brit at the command center. I’m still feeling so forlorn for all those victims we met and helped. Thanks for taking time to join us, I know how busy you guys are.

As a Kentuckian it’s so heartbreaking seeing the state I love be ruined by water and seeing so many people and let’s being displaced or lost

I live in Louisiana where we often have major hurricanes and there is nothing like when the whole community comes together to serve one another after a major disaster.

I’m from Eastern Kentucky and lived in parts of Easter Kentucky that everyone’s life change in a blink of an eye but it is so cool to see how a lot of people came to help with the flooding I wish I could have went and help but the support that came through the tough time was amazing a lot of childhoods for many people were washed away and a lot of homes.I also am just glad that it could have went a whole lot worse than it already is however to the 37 people that did lose their life pray for the families and try to make it easier for their loss and it’s cool to see that public influencer like you came out to help with the flood and every appreciates it thank you for going out there to help other people and stay smiling

I live in Breathitt County and we was hit hard here. All my uncles and aunts lost their homes. Our roof caved in just from the rain. I rescued my neighbors off the roof of their trailor after it was washed about 100ft away. We still have no water. It's been a rough ride.

Kentucky got hit really hard with those storms. I was in Missouri in my 18 wheeler during those storms that ripped across. A lot of rain and flooding in St Louis area at the time, but no where near the rain and flooding Kentucky had. Man, I didn't realize how bad until I saw your vlog.

My parents were down there in Kentucky helping out with the floods over the weekend. They were down there helping out by making sandwiches and giving out meals to people. They were with Mike Baumgartner this weekend helping out!

Have to say as a flood survivor, it is great to see this. My house had to be stripped down to studs to be rebuilt and the teams of people that came in with Fema the whole way through the rebuilding process was so encouraging through that ordeal. I will never forget the kindness of strangers driving from far away just to come help us. Never will forget that.

I did something like this in Ventnor NJ after hurricane sandy and it really was one of the most memorable, humbling experiences ever and it felt amazing helping the community and will stick with me for life. I would recommend anyone that has a chance to do it!

I was there just last week! That’s crazy, I went with a church on the mission trip and we helped people effected by the flood. I’m super glad to see a huge person brining attention to the situation down there.

This sucks, my family had to deal with this twice with floods in Houston. My heart goes out to all the families that are dealing with this. It's extremely tough. You will rebuild and power through!
