Honestly those are the kinds of things that make you channel unique. You are not pretending to be perfect. You mention that you can not buy everything you want. Like most of us, you're conscious of how much you can spend...had to edit to fix my stupid mistakes
Haha I always question what people do for work that they can just throw money around at faires and conventions 😂 I mean goals but also … bills. Glad you appreciate that. I WISH I could be making it rain and getting all the trinkets 😌
This looks so fun and you two look so lovely together 🤩🤩🤩 your book's title would be _The_ _Middle_ _Earth_ _Tales_ _of_ _the_ _Fairy_ _and_ _the_ _Pirate_ ✨
Moved to Denver area a few years ago from Houston, where the nearby Faire is the proclaimed "largest". The CO faire is a no where near as big, but has all the requisite shops, shows, and other assorted Faire activities. Overall I end up enjoying it more than the larger one since things are less spread out and you can easily go back to somewhere if there is something you wanted to see/do again. Generally the people are nicer too.
I’ve lived in Colorado for 32 years and I’ve never heard anyone say ours is the largest in the US. But, I think it’s really charming and has everything you really need. I’ve heard the one in Texas is absolutely massive (as well as genuinely being the largest in acres). Last year I went to one in PA that was pretty big, but isn’t as nice as Colorado (imo)
i’m glad yew enjoyed our faire 🥰🧚🏼♀️ also omg the second day fit with the brown docs (if i’m seeing that right .. i have the same pair) is sO cute i’m inspired ✨
Oh yes my Dr Marten Leona’s 🥰 they are my unofficial official Ren Faire shoes lol. I wore them both days and my feet didn’t hurt at all. I’ve worn them the last few Faires since they have good tread and a platform so they are comfortable and good for trekking up hills.
Honestly the lack of public transport is a mood. Where I live it’s the same story. Like we have stops in some areas but … to get anywhere using them is a nightmare. I dream of clean walkable towns/cities with trolley’s and lots of trees and nature. I’m probably thinking of Europe 😂
I love your videos 😍 I'm from Spain and here we have "medieval markets" which are celebrated once a year in most of the cities. They decorate the streets (usually on the old part of the city) and there are artisans selling their products (jewellery, food, accessories...). In the biggest cities the shows are amazing, but the sad part is that we usually don't dress up when we go to the market 😭
I love it! It was probably a lot cooler in temperature than the AZ one. I still can't eat dark turkey meat after getting food poisoning from a turkey leg at the AZ renn fair though.
2:16 the song playing in the background here gets played very often in the background whilst I’m playing DND with my friends because the person who is in charge of the music loves playing this song!
I’m taking a new friend to his first Faire this year and I’m SO stoked!!! It’s one of my fav places in the world no matter which Faire it is, because just existing in a space full of nerds being nerds is just such a wonderfully fulfilling and validating experience.
aaa this makes me so excited for my state’s faire!!! it’s one of the later ones so i probably won’t be going until september but i’ve been looking forward to it since the last time i went lol. glad you had fun!!
I hope you have so much fun this year! September is a good month for Faires since it starts to cool off for some states. It’s still hot here in September so I’m glad more are starting to pop up in autumn. 2 of my favorite things combining 😍 autumn and renfaires 🙌
Omg, you two are adorable! You remind me of a younger version of my husband and I lol. We are planning to go to the NY Ren Faire tomorrow so I searched for inspiration and found your channel.😀 That's it, I need a new bodice tomorrow!
Hey! I worked at the Faire last season (was the king’s squire, was the one walking in front of the carriage). I’m so glad you loved our faire and I hope to see you this next year!
Business owners are happy with anybodies business. I find it interesting how people think shopping outside a usual “category” is taking something from someone else. It is not. It is the hopes and dreams of business owners!
I love those rose necklaces, I bought one from that shop like 8-10 years ago, glad they still sell there! They were super nice and sized the necklace cord for me so it fits perfect.
Great video! I’m going next month for the first time in Larkspur and I just wanted to see a bit of what’ll be going on. Very realistic vlog haha I loved it
Colorado is such an amazing place to live! Like if denver has a version of a thing, it's going to be a really good version. There is actually a medieval festival as well, not quite as insane as the renfair, but still great. Theres a bunch of larps too, of note is the Denver Alliance chapter.
Loved the video. My little brother watched the last part with me and when he saw the sword swallower he was like "No way! Please don't." But after it was over he was supper impressed. It was so much fun to watch.😂 I also love your honesty and how you are real and show it on camera. You don't edit out all your mishaps to make everything perfect. One of many reasons you are my favorite channel. ❤❤❤
I'm glad you got to enjoy 2 days at the faire. Thank you for supporting the vendors there. I wish you could be up here in Oregon for Canterbury Renaissance Faire is Silverton OR this month but I understand budget restraints....
I wanted to hear about the teeflin's life, lol. Also I want the "I fart in your general direction!" pin(?). I'm glad your hubby and you enjoy cosplaying together.
I'm going to a Ren Faire in October with my family and I want it to be as memorable as possible!! Seeing things from someone else's perspective makes it a lot easier for me to plan these things, so I really appreciate your vlogs and tutorials! I hope you can go again soon
So it looks like you had so much fun and you're not the only one I have to budget myself when I go to those places to there's just so many cool things and shiny things 😉😉😉😉😉 the best thing though is it looks like you had a blast with your honey
Don't mind me living vicariously through you until I can go to my local faire later this year 🤩 I love how you're able to capture the energy and keep it going through every video, vlog or otherwise 🤌🥰
my favorite faires are sherwood forest faire just outside of austin, tx and the texas renaissance festival just north of houston, tx...if you ever get the chance(s) i highly recommend both!
This reminds me a lot of Texas Renaissance Festival out near Houston. I’ve heard the Colarado one is pretty good. Also the Craig! The band I’ve seen them our our way before! Cute outfits too!
I’m so curious what faire you’re doing in October!? I am a guild member (Seadogs of Freeport) in Age of Chivalry and Pirate Fest in Las Vegas! Age of Chivalry is the one in October. My man and I are also having a wedding in our guild yard!! I carry a blue dragon puppet. Do other states have guilds, I wonder? In the parades I see online, maybe some do? We have well over a dozen guilds, and many more striving to be picked from the waiting list. Keep up the great work on amazing videos. I don’t know what’s misspells you were talking about - but they sound adorable. 😂😜 (Sorry if this posted multiple times, connection issue)
I look at your costume and can't believe that I have put big bucks into mine too, and yours just looks better all the way around. Tells me I have no idea of style. lol.
If you want the waist of your new bodice to be smaller, you could take some tucks in it, and sew the edges pwards into pleats; make it what is called a "design feature". You could even find some pretty ribbon similar to the trim on it and sew it over the top of the pleat seams. Or, sew on some brocade, satin or velvet & make it a gorgeous patch.
The outfit for the first day was soooo cute, absolutely immaculate. You're really giving me Ren Faire fever, I've never really been to one, but I'm afraid I'd be kind of a poser?? Idk, my interest into medieval & fantasy culture is very recent so I feel like I wouldn't be valid at a ren faire 🥲
um WHERE did you get those gold thingies for your hair. they are beautiful. we took my son to then ren faire this year and he was only 1 at the time, but we put him in a linen lace-up peasant shirt. and got him a little wooden sword. He was the cutest thing ever. also where did you get the green dress at the end of the video 👀
I got the green dress from a local vendor that unfortunately doesn’t sell online yet. But sometimes you can find similar chemises online. Zootzu and HolyClothing are brands that sell online that have Ren Faire garb.
Nothing wrong with taking advantage of buying clothes from the "kids" if they fit. Saves money on your end, and leaves more selection for others who are not doing that.
