isn't it worse tho? when they take your plate they are gonna see you have only a knife, so they'll either think you re a psycho who ate the meal with a knife or you stole the fork
Honestly, that shrimp thing you passed on (Bourbon Street Chicken and Shrimp) is my favorite entrée at the Bees. The half priced appetizers after 9 PM and dollar drinks are the only reason my friends and I go so often

I like the fact that she can really cook and she is really good at it and I have nothing to compete with her, and yet still entertaining and made me soooo hungry.
12:40 Hilarious story haha, sorry I'm Australian. But what I've heard about Applebees is probably not a date spot let alone a valentines day spot. Sounds more like a seedy hungover lunch date would be a better idea for a 12 dollar steak.
but it turned out to be a good thing for Maya because now she will find someone who treats her better, or maybe she already has. I like Miz too but they always seemed like a huge mis-match to me. The guy went to bed when she woke up, Maya loves being outside, Miz hates it. They had nothing in common.
This is also Applebee's, which is infamous for being overpriced for subpar food. That's why QT noted at the end that it's not really a place you're supposed to go to have a proper dinner with a date for a big event like Valentine's Day or an anniversary. In Los Angeles, especially, you can definitely find either better value for cheaper, or a much nicer restaurant for just a little bit more. This isn't representative of what we consider fine dining in America.

Applebees's half priced apps are goated. The best ones to order are the mozzarella sticks, pretzels, tacos, and boneless buffalo chicken. I usually just get all 4 and skip their entrees because most of them are gross.
Maya has such an energy. She has a great mind for content. Classy enough to introduce you to the parents. But also funny enough that she'd be whispering memes to you at the dinner table.
