The Sea of Thieves A Pirates Life Gameplay Trailer Reveal dropped some interesting perspectives on what we could expect in the A Pirates Life Sea of Thieves game update. It's mind-blowing to think that the Sea of Thieves update called A Pirates Life ACTUALLY has us merge with the Pirates of The Caribean universe brought to you by Disney, it's utterly incredible and can only mean monstrous levels of content on the horizon.
Captain Jack Sparrow is revealed to be occupying the new building that has been found across the outposts of the Sea of Thieves in A Pirates Life update. Davy Jones also is revealed as this updates protagonist along with the reveal of a Merfolk Kingdom, The land of the dead? and Old Mother The Kraken who has been laid dormant for hundreds of years. I’ve been wondering if Jack Sparrow before you rescue him is a Graymarrow type entity where he’s in the material plane but not fully in. You can’t see through him like a phantom or ghost but he has a greenish Sea of the Damned hew.

3:40 that’s the kraken, the little baby one we fight in game, the last kraken, probably the same one Davy Jones uses. SoT is now likely a prequel to PotC. Anyways, back on track, the old mother was said to be so large you could sail a galleon through her rib cage without ever touching the sides, not to mention she’s currently Dead, and this one is very much so Alive.

No because we are very obviously in the sea of the damned (where dead things are) and the Flying Dutchman makes the exact same ‘ping’ as it did in the movie when releasing a kraken We only know of one significant kraken that has been said time and time over to be dead and that’s the old mother Meaning we’d probably get to see her in the update Also Davy Jones brings things back to life so it’s not a stretch to say he’d bring her back

@@microwave4928 no, we’re at what appears to be the mermaid’s home. We’re on what is likely the wreck of the Silver blade. Now, the mermaids home could be in the sea of the damned, but that doesn’t make too much sense as there has been no indication that they have and powers over life or death, nor the ability to freely travel to and from the SotD, otherwise why would they live in fear of the old mother. If this were the SotD the wrecked ship wouldn’t be wrecked because it would be a ghost ship. This still could not be the old mother because, again, size, and the fact that the mermaids lived in fear of the old mother, that’s why they had to help the ancients chain her while she slept, neither could control her. Yet this Kraken is clearly being controlled by the merfolk. Lastly, just because the SotD is now be featured in the tall tales, does not mean that all of the new ones take place there.

@@microwave4928 and now you’ve changed the topic. My original post makes it very clear that I’m talking about the Kraken we see in the video. We could see the Old Mother in the sea of the damned, assuming krakens have souls that go there like we do when they die. It could be that Krakens A. Don’t have souls, or B. Their souls dissolved on death, like becoming part of the see or calypso or something. Part of Davy Jones plan could even be to revive the Old Mother and use her against the SoT. However, my original point still stands that the kraken we see in the video is not the old mother, but the last living kraken that we fight on the regular. Also, the voice saying “my daughter” is most likely the mermaids we see in the shot just before, likely a or the queen of the merfolk, has taken the last kraken as her pet and has taken to calling it “[her] daughter”.

I was wondering… the female voice talking towards the end of the trailer sounds like it could be the old mother/some kraken but I’m not sure why it would be able to talk. I guess it makes more sense that it’s a mermaid but the “Hear me, my daughter! Come forth and feast!” sounds like the old mother talking to one of her kraken children but idk Also I really hope your parents and you feel better

Mr. Pricklepants I thought that it could possibly be the mermaid queen from earlier in the trailer. It could be possible that old mother was created by merfolk such as the queen. However, I could be entirely wrong about that, including the mermaid queen, though it would make sense she was some kind of leader because of that yellow gemstone instead of the normal rubies, emeralds and sapphires.

Sadly and sorry to everyone but the kraken is not the old mother. The voice says “come forth my child” telling us it’s is a child of the old mother. However this can’t be the kraken from the current game as it’s face was destroyed during battle with the pirate lord and doesn’t show its face. Also the old mother is dead (skeleton at flintlock peninsula) so either the old mother,the current kraken is now healed or (my favourite theory) is this is another surviving child of the old mother.

The one shown in the trailer is just a regular Kraken. I wonder if Davy Jones will somehow manage to summon the Old Mother tho, we clearly saw him using the anchor to call a Kraken, now we just need to see which one will be. As for the voice calling the Kraken, I'd come to think it'd be the Old Mother, somehow? But that wouldn't make much sense, unless she reincarnated into a mermaid? I might be off trail here tho. It could simply be the mermaid queen as many are saying, but why call her "my daughter"? Also I wonder how the Kraken got stuck into those rocks when we clearly saw it swimming previously in the trailer. So many questions, can't wait to play this update! “I can’t keep up with how good these enemies are looking” meanwhile I’m at Lone Cove with 3 different quests all at that exact island, but I can’t actually solve any of the riddles because anytime I try completing a step I get surrounded by ghost pirates, those weird sea monsters, at least skeletons were manageable. This new stuff really kills quests in certain areas tho. You don’t understand how hard it is to walk 7 paces SW of your last step when you keep getting surrounded by a Polish Market worth of enemies.

As a pirate of the Caribbean lover, maybe the ghost will be like the ghost that we see on third movie when they're in davy jones's locker, there are ghost that davy jones was supposed to protect and help them in their way to the beyond and they came back to the living world by demand of davy jones or maybe calypso(because when davy was in love with calypso they made a deal that davy would help the souls of people that die in the sea for 10 years and after that he could coke 1 day to land to see calypso, so maybe calypso is Interconnected with the souls) and the mother i was thinking that maybe she was calypso Trapped in human body because calypso is the goddess of the sea so i think she would control the kraken maybe but i'm not really sure because of that girl that talks about the curse, because she has the voice of tia dalma so i don't know, but great video and i hope you get better soon ❤️

The real question is will this only be tall tales or will the AI/Bosses be in game as well? From the first trailer it looks like one of the AIs attacks a group just doing a normal treasure voyage and also the crab i'm pretty sure is the ocean crawler. But if it was only tall tales that would be a little sad.

Well for one the guy sitting on all of the gold is an obvious reference to the ride, 2 the kraken fight with the water windows it actually looks more like inc that the kraken is producing and three there is no three.

No, it means the dlc will have a references to the ride (the original 1967 one) which I think is a good idea becuase the ride was made before the movie and is the original

The guy sitting on the throne on the pile of gold is a reference to the ride at Disneyland that the movies are based off of, the dog with the keys is also from the ride

@@gh0stbn356 look it up, trust me, no one believes you when you tell them, but the ride came first, Jack sparrow was added in after the movies came out, the jack sparrow animatronic that peaks out of the barrel used to be a girl hiding from a pirate

The ride was opened in 1967 and the first movie released in 2003. Not quite sure what your claim about a robotic jack sparrow means as mechanical characters can be Implemented at what ever date. The ride most certainly came first.
