That fruits is considered a luxury gift in Japan, that melon alone is so expensive same with strawberry. In Japan fruits as a gift is given to high end and special guest and family. The Laude's were so special for Okada San.

Because even though they can afford it, they don't recklessly buy things that they want, they spend their money wisely or they have other priorities to spend their money on than just the things that they want.
