Yo if Franklin had gone with them, this whole portion of the story would’ve been three panels of Franky just pouring nen bullets into everyone in that room. His ability is so simple and yet the perfect solution for this problem of not being able to enter the room
It's really interesting how we're being shown Heil-Ly's dynamic. They have immense potential but a huge lack of experience and are barely being held back by Morena's leadership. What's even more interesting is that Nobunaga seemed completely unfazed by losing his katana.
Im pretty sure Nobunaga's actual ability has a condition on his katana being away from him since he is so confident that he can deal with any opponent just on his base level swordsman/nen skills. His ability is most ly a rare backup.
im still wondering why no one is using shu on a gun, i mean nen multiplies power just like Hinrighs nen ability when something is made of steel, he should just have a few guns to animate into birds or something, even a grenade would do
The boxer in Razor's gang on Greed Island was an emitter who could teleport his punches within the boxing ring, as another example of emitter teleporting.
Hearing you talk about how passiveness as a nen restriction makes abilities broken reminded me of how ging formulated nen abilities in the form of video game cards that could do no harm but peform crazy feats as a result. I’d appreciate a video revisiting greed island’s complex nature in the world of nen now that we have new info.
Cheetuh, this Lawyer and just many Conjurers in General have shown conjuring unbreakable things is possible: It seems to be a Nen Law that 'Perfect Fairness' allows such buuut this suggests you can just have 1 Guy who 'freezes himself & one enemy, while others are free to stab that Enemy', which cant be true. This must be weaker that we think, cause theres no way the Secret Way to defeat Netero was the Galaxy-Brain-Move of 'sending not one... but TWO Dudes!'!
@@slevinchannel7589 the only time netero was held down by a nen ability was unfortunately non canon. But if we’re assuming the movies use nen the same way the anime does a nen user was able to hold netero down by sacrificing his life for that single task. He committed suicide with crazy resolve to only keep netero locked down.
@@slevinchannel7589 so I do think there’s a way to render strong nen users useless but it has to be justified by its conditions, restrictions, and covenants. The conditions make it so that’s not just a cheap move, they actually have to complete those conditions that very well hinder their ability to fight or survive.
Interestingly, nobunaga has a lot to deal with some "moving" abilities: - a dude "moving" through walls - a room "moving" person - a dude "moving" his wound - nen nutcrackers "moving" him away. Absolute 🔥 chapters

Liam: 'We've only seen teleportation emission used very sparingly in the series before now' The entirety of Greed Island Arc: 'am I a joke to you aussie man?'
The crazy thing is that in creating Greed Island Razor was responsible for the transportation techniques. He could even sent the Phantom Troupe far away from the island.Imagine if Meruem and the Royal Guards rolled up to Greed Island and Razor sent them to another country or the bottom of the ocean.
It makes sense now that all the spell cards could not harm players. Ging was min maxing team builds by combing multiple nen users with nen restrictions to create the game.
@@raphaelmonteiro4833 oh most definitely. I mean if Gon was actually serious in grabbing some broken nen cards as a reward he would have been able to dispose of pitou if they ever fought. Possibilities were endless with those nen cards.
@@_button_masherjustpassedth5234 1 of benjamin's soldiers, but seems like a cool guy. He was secretly helping queen oito and woble. Yeah togashi's character names sound like he mashed a keyboard
Ironically Hisoka is the best matchup for this clan. He spent his entire life putting himself in disadvantageous situations, now the Spiders have to see what that feels like while he’s the one sitting back. Morena letting them leave unharmed makes this even creepier. Let’s hope they don’t have anyone with a nen ability involving the sword. God forbid one can transform into you just by holding your belongings. Morena likes chaos and what better chaos than that.
I still don’t believe that Togashi will use the heily family to dispose of troupe members. I think the troupe members will either die from Hisoka, kurapika, tserreidnich, and maybe other top tiers on the boat like beyond netero, ging, pariston, and the other zodiacs.
Yea I recon nobunaga is gonna carve through those noobs. Morena herself might continue a problem going forward. But the disciples are wayyyy over extended.
Eh with the exception of the one guy she has that’s already over level 30. I think we are missing one thing about this group, they are killers. And the fact “blood thirsty killers” who like chaos avoided a fight and just kicked them out the base, says something else is going on here.
The compatibility and potential of the two He-Li powers we were introduced to is completely invincible together. As long as the emitter is touching the LSDF robot, he's unkillable, since the "damage" is transferred to an invincible robot. And while the ROBOTS seemingly can only "defend", the emitter riding on their back is the invincible "offence". And as long as their in the base, both are virtually unkillable. Even more so if they combine that with another He-Li members ability to make the Robot's user inaccessible (say, a certain unbreakable wall or teleporting door). Although hell, since we don't know the range of his ability, the user can just hide in a different room, way in the back.
If Terebellum could actually use his ability on Yokotani's like that, then they're the ultimate in homebase defense. Literally an unbreakable guard unit
only way i see this defense being broken is by someone like franklin who can let out so many ranged attacks that the emiiter guy can't teleport them all and get overwhelmed . The other way would be smoking them out of their hole. Considering they are in what looks like a very restrained space (maybe2 or 3 rooms max) you could just technically gas them out with poison or something to make it impossible for them to stay there.
To activate lsdf robot he has to tell you his name. And he couldn't transfer the attacks to the robot since then he would be considered the attacker and evicted, just like happened with nobunaga.
It could be that the Heil-Ly family draws in more people that aren't detail-oriented and are emotional, leading to a larger percent of emitters. It's would make sense from Hisoka's personality test, and the targets of cult recruitment.
Loved the thumbnail, with Hinrigh shocked face (like Eneru in OP). Terebellum's ability is freaking awesome, I would love to have that ability. The best panels in these chapter is all with Terebellum, since chapter 394, I thought he interesting, because his design was dope, and now knowing his personality and ability, makes him my fav Heil-ly member, after Morena. Hinrigh and Nobunaga is so good together, I would love to see more of "Hinrigh and Nobunaga's adventures" HaHa. This chapter was amazing as always.
I love these UK-US-Canadian-Australian launguage shenanigans. Its so funny from the perspective of someone whos learning english as his secondary language.
Hey Liam, I wanted to talk about this on discord, but it's being funky for me, Just wanted to talk about a theme in the Succession war. I love how Togashi is exploring people discovering Nen, and basically the idea of one discovering you have super powers. Every single part of the succession war is directly tied to learning and discussing Nen. It really just seems like Togashi got really excited about exploring his own power system. In Chapter 388, Bill talks about how he sees people get corrupted by Nen and power, and we see that with the Hei-Li. I wonder if the succession war is just going to culminate in a bunch of nen powers coming together
Hello Liam If I remember correctly, one of the criminals working for razor in GI, the one who was boxing, used a telefortation ability in the ring to win the first match ( before they came back a second time with hisoka and the others)
Man please keep uploading your videos more frequently and please make longer videos on theory i am dying to here more probable things that can happen in this ship
@@IAm-zo1bo I can't say anything about exaggeration since that's an opinion. But that video is talking about Leorio's potential ability, is it not? It still relate with the title so it's not clickbait
@@IAm-zo1bo I don't know whether your reply is sarcasm or not, so I'll answer anyway. Near the end of the anime, Leorio developed his new emmiter ability, where he can send teleportation punch. Because it's new, there are so many potential for a polished version and Ging also mentioned it in the manga, that it can be a great ability if he knows how to use it well (Ging copied Leorio's ability and altered it a bit to defeat enemies). And in the video, Liam mentioned that Leorio might be able to use it to detect cancer cells and effectivily destroy them. Meaning he can achieve his dream to be a great doctor and give free service to those who need it. It can also be a dangerous ability if given to the wrong hands but luckily it's Leorio. As Melody mentioned, Leorio is a person who has the kindest heartbeat she has ever heard
Morena is reusing nen concepts that other veterans had already introduced. A young Ging freecs quite literally formulated the most complex nen ability that is “Greed island” that incorporates multiple nen users that work together countless nen restrictions to create that world. Also using restrictions to your nen ability isn’t an innovative discovery. It’s literally taught in every nen introductory course lmao
Yokotani's ability with the Toy Bouncers reminds me of Mizaistom's Cross Game, at least the way it was used this time to "remove" Nobunaga and Henry-but-not-spelled-the-same-way. However, it's extremely underpowered considering all the conditions on it. Mizai can freeze someone in place or "remove them from the courtroom", which is probably something similar, only by showing an opponent one of three cards. No other conditions required, at least that we know of. Really shows you the extreme difference in mastery between a scrub who just learned Nen yesterday, and a member of the Zodiacs.
Hearing again the sequence of stuff happened in the clash between those faction I realized this group of Leveling murder dudes are more synergic than I originally understood. Other than of course the impossibility to enter the room to attack them, we have double coverage aganist distance attacks with "super reflex dude" and "damage redirect dude", we have "self healing dude" able to recover quite fast from damage, something allowing him to be both a human shield for the lawyer or a great escape goat from the damage-transfer-dude and of course we have the ultimate restriction and annoying defense in the Lawyer's Hatsu that it will trigger for sure if any of the others had to do something to protect themselves. So a perfect group to be the sentry of the family, they can't probably defeat any experience opponent but they will be most likely able to deny the access to every invader without suffer loss. No idea about the organ stuff, to me is something Nen-related and not only symbolic.... Maybe the Organ is someone who is granted the ability of working as a proxy of Morena for what her ability is involed. Like infect someone with Contagion in her place if their number decrease or actually be a truly proxy of her... so like the lawyer's ability will work with both Morena or her Proxy in the hideout.... truly speculative truly unclear yet
It would be pretty awesome to see nobu have some kind of hatsu that’s condition are met if he loses his katana. Kind of like a hail mary. Leaving his katana to be wielded/enhanced more simply, swiftly like he’s shown time and time again
Hisoka or Machi can use their abilities and stick it to one of them and it's gg. But I agree, it's way harder for more straightforward fighters to attack them.
Wait so is the damage transfer ability JUST the damage? How far does it go? If he’s touching someone and gets shot in the head does he just not feel the pain but still has a bullet in the head ? Does the person he’s touching get the bullet instead? If someone shoots the person he’s touching and kills that person and THEN he’s shot does the person have to be alive for the ability to work? The potential for this ability is outrageous
He can transfer damage. I think there is a limit to the damage he can transfer because he was bleeding or if he cant then he will tank it himself as what nobunaga said.
Think of it as the person he touches with his right hand is shrouded by a "portal" so nothing can reach them. And the exit to that portal is his left hand, so whatever he's touching with the left hand will get the damage that was meant for what his right hand is touching. If he isn't touching anything with his left hand, then he himself gets the damage. We saw he wasn't fast enough to touch the table, so he got his left arm injured by Nobunaga's sword. And yes, objects like bullets or knives will get teleported, we saw the blade from Hinrigh being separated from the handle and appearing on the can that he was holding on his left hand, same for the tip Nobunaga's sword that was missing after stabbing the head of the lawyer guy. The tip from Nobunaga's sword is somewhere in his left arm since we can see the blood.
Yokutani’s robots ability kinda reminds me of Higuruma’s trial and judgement technique in JJK - the fact the other person actually has to be guilty of a crime for the ability to activate means it can get really powerful.
Hinrigh is my new favorite with many characters gone now. Though im happy to see hanzo again. Hinrigh seems like someone id be very friendly with irl. He seems very honest and trustworthy. And he is very smart. I mean his hatsu is proof of his complex problem solving. I hope he lives.
I thought that note was about a bag in an older chapter? You know. That one. The 'Organ' could be a non Nen related role too since they specifically use the word Kakin which has various meanings. I think to do with exchanges.
When Yokotani was holding Nobunaga’s sword I immediately thought of Blade’s sword (From Blade) which has a feature where the hilt has a timer and 4 spikes open up at the handle essentially messing up one’s hand. Unfortunately the Hei-Ly didn’t taken any major damage this time (except for Terebellum)
saw the thumbnails before i read the chapter and went into it thinking this guy had a toilet flusher sticking out of his head with toilet abilities but it was a knife
I like how so many people are bringing up Greed Island in regards to teleportation abilities, but I haven't seen a single mention of Goreinu who could switch teleport other people or himself with one of his nen beasts, and is one of the clearest examples of teleportation aside from Knov
I love that all this took place behind a door. The way nobunaga threw his sword is crazy I like how important they think his sword should have been too him too
I like how we started the Dark Continet Expedition Arc....then got sidetracked with the Succession War Arc....which has now been sidetracked with a Mafia Powers Arc!
I'm noticing something with these latest chapters. Bestowing Nen on someone is like giving a loan of money. For those who don't know how to wield it or have no idea what they're doing, they'll waste it. Essentially gone is someone who had a lot of potential but blew his "money" (Nen) on careless mistakes. Would also explain why Netero, despite him being old, was very successful and considered one of the most strongest uses of nen. And why Meurium( literally privilege and had power bestowed upon him and the ability to take others abilities) had the knowledge but lacked the experience. It might actually be better to practice a Hatsu when you're older instead of making a lifelong decision on your abilities when you are juvenile.
It's actually 5 condition for yokitani, the last one before it active is for Yoki to say the name of the perpetrators and five direct specific order prior to his minions doing his deeds
At 1:35 when he’s talking about the room he says the disturbing thing is the washer when I’m pretty sure the assistant was talking about the blurred out pixelated dead body on the table lmaooo
It crazy how when the two walked in the family was talking about music after we just finished the troupe backstory which involved sarasa death who was a famous sino
Just another comment on rock paper scissors. In Finland we play rock-scissor-paper which I think is quite logical in order (rock beats scissor, scissor beats paper, paper beats rock). We even have a gentleman's rule in which both players pick rock first to start with a tie.
When they said he was the organ maybe they were talking in a musical sense and not an anatomical sense, kinda goes with what they were talking about before Hin and Nob interrupted
Are we seeing the want/need for this many teleportation type abilities as a result of all the limitations of being on a giant ship? Cramped space and restricted access to certain levels make transportation between spaces highly valuable.
I was just thinking about how nen ties to Buddhist spirituality to a disciplined understanding of what is essentially imagination and inspiration to pull things like Netero's Bodhisattva into reality, and most nen users really are at the bottom of the barrel of their potential when you see The Troupe discuss abilities.... Then this chapter comes out and I'm so glad they revealed two Mafia families actually have leaders with depth to their abilities and competent underlings, shit is about to get real.
i feel like the rock paper scissors thing is dependant on what state your from in australia, in SA ive only heard "rock, paper, scissors" or "paper, scissors, rock"
After all build tension and uncertainty, a deathmatch scenario where they were all in the same room nabonaga and heinry vs the heily family... A tension where we expect a deathmatch will happen.. It was like an assassin entered to the cage of a murderer.. But ended up in a stalemate.
Togashi has gone beyond the bounds of subverting expectations by having things go awry, and found himself in the realm of doing so by having things work out mostly okay. I'm both excited and frightened to find out what he has in store.
How to counter the teleporting of the attack? Easy enough, attack with an explotion or something that would destroy whatever he is touching and make a second attack fast enough.
What if the Hinrigh that joins up with nobunaga at the end of the chapter is a fake? He does have some pretty detailed plans about the next step but the fact that we never saw the robots grab him and he said "I dont think I can use my ability anymore today" stands out as weird to me. I think its possible that he got held there or sent somewhere else for interrogation. It would make sense to let nobunaga go and even leave the transmitter in the room if the plan was to lure the troupe into a trap in order to get 10 levels each from killing them. Also Hinrigh would have detailed plans about the other mafia movements that would be beneficial to interrogate out of him.
Sorry to bother but I'm a Spanish speaker from Colombia, and we also use Rock paper Scissors. Australia Its kind of the different country. I love your videos man.
