Keep your car keys close, next time set off the car alarms before going outside. Gives you time to put pants on. The noise will scare them off and alert your neighbors also
You guys have great attitudes. Teenagers or not, doesn't mean they can't do harm. Kids these days are so much bolder. Glad it all worked out and that you had a great time. ☺
As a full-time RVer, I do appreciate your honesty about the different items breaking down and having to get fixed. It happens with all RVs more or less..it’s your grateful and upbeat attitude that really really matters and shows through in this video. Wouldn’t trade the lifestyle for anything!
Those teenagers are lucky no one was ‘carrying’ & pulled a gun on them! These youngsters these days literally have no respect for others & their property, even in an RV park. Glad y’all are safe ❤
@@ginamaria2579 Protect yourselves & your loved ones, especially in their situation…. Traveling around the country is exciting, fun & yet scary . Be prepared 🥰
Teenagers should never act like that, I don’t care how old they are. You guys are so patient. Hopefully you never have to deal with that again, but if you do don’t dismiss them, hold them accountable.
I love your new camper! A new camper is like a new built home…something always needs to be fixed even if it is new!!! To bad about kids messing around/taking things that don’t belong to them but…I gotta say Mr. B in the middle of the night in his boxers asking those kids what they were doing…the best story ever!!! Thanks for sharing!
I’m so glad y’all have a good time despite the teenagers stealing from people. That’s incredibly scary though because if they run into the wrong person it may not end well for them. Daisy Mae looked adorable with her new haircut and bow she seems to enjoy the camper as well. ❤
Ocean lakes use to have really good security you weren't allowed to be walking around after midnight and they would go up and down the roads constantly, teenagers had to have ID on them .that's crazy
I don't even like going to Ocean Lakes anymore. We would go with my in-laws almost every year for a few days in their camper. It doesn't matter what time of the year, there's always SO many teenagers and they are so disrespectful. Last time we went, one threw those pop rock firecrackers at my husband and hit him in the eye! I'm only 29 and I can't deal with them. They get on their parents golf carts at night, then go buck wild.
I'm actually glad you called security, I don't agree with they're just kids. They are not going to be one day and you don't mess with what is not yours or steal from people, wrong not matter what you're age is.
Sadly camping has changed. You didn’t use to have to worry about stuff like that. Now, we keep things locked up. Also, the campers are not made the way they used to be. Hopefully things will smooth out for you guys. I have just found your videos and love you guys! Best wishes and safe travels!
Your little pup is adorable, very cute cut. Teenagers still need enough punishment to learn to stop but not to destroy their lives. I had some very old skunky beer I found in my garage when cleaning a few years ago and I left that in a cooler overnight when camping. Next couple days a few young people would be seen running to the block house toilets a few times in the day. Did not intend for kids to take it, skunky beer is great for bugs, poor a small bowl about half full and keep filling and scraping out the bugs. Works great for many bugs, seems the older the beer the better. Stay safe and healthy.
Great camper...one thing we have always done when getting a new camper is go over it with a fine tooth comb. My husband will tighten down every bolt, make sure all seals are good and just really go over every inch of the camper. No matter what kindof camper or what price point they are slapped together so quickly that quality of work sometimes takes a backseat. You guys have the best attitude when it comes to repairs and the growing pains that come with a new camper. Living the dream!!!!
So happy living on wheels is making dreams come true. Honestly in seven years we have not had any problems with neighbors but I think y'all handled everything very well. Dinner looked fantastic 🤩 Continued safe travels ❤
There is code between campers that you don't take anything..it's a sfe zone..but sadly times have changed. At a Nascar race one time when we came back to our campers and our coolers were moved and one tipped over but they didn't take anything bc we only had waters, cokes and juices lol..they were sadly disappointed 😅
Short story. Several years ago we took our camper to the Keys. We had our little Scottie Gracie with us. We were so worried about leaving her some in the camper. We bought a really heavy duty crate and my husband bolted it to the floor. Put heavy locks on the door. Not fool proof but a deterrent. We love our Scotties like you love Daisy Mae. That was always my worst fear!!
On our 2022 337RLS a/c the freeze sensor was bad from the start…. Love our Grand Design. All a learning experience! In one year we stayed in 17 states, and visited 21 total. Blessed beyond measure!
I know what you mean with swapping campers…we upgraded from a 28’ TT to a 36’ 5th wheel and now have a lot more storage! I grew up camping at Myrtle…from Lakewood up at NMB down to Ocean Lakes back in the 80s! Now we just go to Carolina Pines a few times a year and we love it there too. Thanks again for sharing.
My question is where were the parents of those teenagers and why were they allowed out at that time of night…? Glad you didn’t let it ruin your stay. 😊
Years ago when my kids were little and we were camping a lot…we had a neighbor that also loved camping and he gave us great advice….The first thing you pack is your sense of humor. Be safe, have fun.
Sadly, we stopped going to Ocean Lakes a few years ago. Aside from it becoming crazy busy and more pricey, security was lacking. We kept our trailer there for about 12 years and noticed security was being seen less and less. Initially they cruised the entire park on a regular basis, but at the point of leaving we hardly saw them. With all the money they make, they should put more effort to keeping guest safe and for them not have to worry about anything getting taken. You both had a good attitude. Thanks for sharing.
You all are too kind. I keep telling my husband people have just let things go so long we have a lot of people who think they are entitled to our belongings. I'm glad you finally called security. Now you might have 7 or 8 more times uneventful. Love your new B52! It is beautiful. 💛
Love the new B52!!!! Broken A/C, mischievous teenagers, you guys had quite the adventure your first week on this new journey 😂. Excited for the things to come!!! Good thing to get those kinks out of the way now while your close to home!!
I am relating to your air conditioner not working on your new 5th wheel. Our new 5th wheel, hottest 4th of July ever & the new air conditioner stopped blowing cold. We had to pack up the food & dogs at 10pm & drive our cars home. Missed the fireworks & the rest of the weekend at our seasonal campsite. If you don't have a power surge connector on your power cord, buy one now & buy a chain lock for the surge protector. This is another story for another day.
You two are so fun! I feel your hearts when someone invades your space and hopefully thats the end of it. You both deserve to have a nice time without that. Thank you for the videos and enjoy your new camper! 🥰
Welcome to the issues of the new RVs. The 21-23 RVs were built fast and furious. So many people are finding things wrong that shouldn't be wrong with a new rig.
Oh my goodness i luv this. My Hubby recently passed away and rhis is the dream we had, im a nurse and we planned to get an RV and do travle nursing he was such a traveler, loved to drive (military vet, and prior truck driver) so the open road was our dream. Im happy to see you guys doing this its bitter sweet to watch but so healing for me at the same time tou both are beautiful. God bless the Bunky's
The same thing happened to us. We were at a very nice RV resort and had some alcoholic beverages in our cooler and someone stole our entire cooler. It wasn't a cheap one either. You do feel violated when someone is out there in the night going through your things. From then on we lock everything up and take our stuff in. Sad!!! When I was a child camping we left all our stuff out like our bikes and never had to worry about this type of thing.
We went FT RV last May and we haven't looked back.I wish we would have done it years earlier,we love it.We live in Michigan so we stay 6 months in Michigan for the Spring and Summer then go to S TX for 6 months for the winter
We bought a new Jayco RedHawk. Shower had no caulking 🤦♀️. Then we had it 3 months had a problem with the wall behind the bed. Found out the window was not sealed completely. Now we have to have the wall panel replaced
Y’all are very sweet. As a mom with four teenagers - 3 of them boys - ummm, no. Don’t make excuses for them. Stealing is stealing. Doesn’t matter how old they are. 😉
Regarding your new Rv malfunctions. We ordered a new 5th wheel Cougar, it was delayed due to COVID shutdown at their plant. We had several things go wrong. On a trip out west our bedroom closet slide would not fully extend and we finally got the slide back in most of the way (didn’t get fixed until we got back home from our month road trip). Some interior lights didn’t work. We contributed the malfunctions to faulty work during COVID.
We have the same rv. So far chairs only held in with one screw! Sofa screws were there just not screwed into the floor! Several other issues luckily hubby can fix just about anything!
Sorry about ac ! Quite few new units from Grand Design having lots inop system failures, ac , Water heater has design flaw, etc Wish they did better prep for customers.. Your unit is Beautiful … Hope all goes well - Happy Travels ..
Next time you get "visitors", you'll have to open the door with your phone on and say something along the lines of "Smile boys, you're on Candid Camera" - lol
Change your locks, they are all universal. The newer RV's because of what we just went through many parts are defective and this still install them. The reason you got quick service is the amount of subs, Ive seen it before on different you tubers, not everyone gets fast service from gd. Dont leave anything outside. Have fun and enjoy your rig. I have a class A but stationary for now.
You guys need to get a Birdie device, it is small you can attach it to a purse but it has a small strobe light and and a LOUD noise. We carry them on us everywhere.
I want some pimento cheese 😋 I'm so jealous of Bunky. I haven't had good pimento cheese since I left N.C. 23 years ago. However, I did see your other video on how to make it. I'm super stoked to try it. My husband and I are full-time RVers going on 3 years now and we keep our bikes chained up. We leave no valuables outside. We see people leaving their things out when they leave for the day and I'm thinking to myself... you shouldn't be so trusting. It doesn't matter where you go, you should never let your guard down. You're going to have opportunists everywhere 🙄 Btw, love your new RV and Daisy's new haircut... adorable 🥰
Memories in the making ! But please be careful, you never know now a days ! You mentioned Murrells Inlet, so next time go to New York Apple Bagel shop in Surfside. Delicious 😋. I use to live in Surfside, am nore south now. So it will be cool to run into you 😊 , in Murrels Inlet !
We just bought a 30 ft rv, havent gone anywhere yet, but we are going to have work done in our home, we are gonna stay in it while thats happening..we also have a propane stove, but we bought a 2 burner electric unit, we live in socastee s.c. a few miles from myrtle beach, funny that your rv is at ocen lakes, a few miles from ur home in Murrells inlet..love watch you 2, now a new change, you in the rv....gwen
99% of the time it’s just kids looking for liquor. We have camped for many years and they don’t usually take much of our personal stuff. Camping is great fun and our fifth wheel is set up some what like yours and we absolutely love it ❤❤
Gotta have a fan ALWAYS! Jessica, have you ever used a noise machine? Not sure if the fan is for the actual air movement or if it’s for the sound. I actually sleep with two fans sometimes three 😂 and a noise machine and I wear headphones hahahahaha. Im a crazy person and I’m proud of it. I got the sound machine off Amazon and it’s amazing to travel with. Doesn’t take up space and gives you that nice soothing feeling of home.
We had a beach house one weekend (girls) and had a huge ice chest on the ground full of beer and ice, then after we went to beach that evening and coming back…..boom the whole ice chest was gone!🤨 Had to be kids. We have a class c and it’s crazy expensive to repair stuff too.
You all need to be super careful. These days you just can’t trust people. You never know if they are carrying a weapon. It’s terrible to say but better safe than sorry. Little Daisy Mae sure is lovin the golf cart ride. What a little sweetheart❣️ Love you guys💋
It’s kinda sad! Ocean lakes has always been such a chill, second home type place. The last time we went it was so overcrowded it was hard to have fun 😢
Been several years since I have camped at Ocean Lakes and have heard a lot of stories lately about various issues such as yours. It's a shame because it used to be a really nice campground. Will be interested to see how your stay at Carolina Pines goes. Super expensive but folks with kids love it for all the kids activities. They really had problems for a while with their bad manager issues. You should check out Huntington Beach State Park just down the road!
I'm sorry you had a bad experience and grateful you're safe. Glad your outlook is of gratitude and awareness to do what you can to keep yourselves safe. The Lord was watching over you. Prayers for your safety and travels. 🎚🙏
Y'all are living a beautiful life, and sooo blessed. But, I am glad y'all called security. Just because those boys were young doesn't mean they aren't dangerous. There are a lot of violent situations happening lately with older teens. I'm not sure why the youth have gone nuts lately, but y'all have to be careful. We don't want you to be hurt. The other thing is that those kids could easily get shot. People carry guns, and could easily be scared by strangers lurking around their camper.
Be careful though confronting etc. it is usually just teens but people get shot now for turning into the wrong driveway etc so be wary. Beautiful new camper!
When we bought our new ToyHauler trailer we had a list of about 25 things that needed to be fixed! We still have the trailer and love it. Enjoy your new channel.
Our brand new camper had electrical issues toilet issues. We didn’t have the luck of getting all our things fixed. Thankful for you guys getting the stuff fixed!
Glad you guys were able to get things fixed in the camper. The teens shouldn’t be stealing from people. They’re lucky Bunky just scared them in his underwear. 🤣
It’s all good is right. Its like a brand new house all the kinks have to be worked out. that is a beautiful campground and beach!! I love this new life of yours!! So happy for you!!
I don’t have patience for kids or teenagers these days. Two 13 yr olds kept setting fires in our neighborhood right behind our house to the point firefighters had to put fires out both times. We saw the assumed culprits by our house recently, so my fiancé started walking up to them. They both decided to run when they saw him (guilty much?!), so he chased them and made the boy (who couldn’t run fast 😂) walk with him to talk to his parents! Hoping that nipped it in the bud, but never know. 😑
