That is a pretty long stretch from goalpost "Ukraine will win Russia and Putin will be brouht to Hague." to me. Also like the casualties and narrative is well and deeply biased. Pointless war and idiotic politicians fault.
Russia never advanced anywhere for like 8 months straight except towards Moscow. If Ukraine had 10% of what Russia had they would have won this war long ago. They have destroyed 75% of Russia's arsenal and caused 350 thousand Russian casualties. Unfortunately NATO doesn't want Russia to lose because if they lose outright it would mean regime change and they are afraid who may come after Putin or afraid he may launch nukes. They should have been all in from day 1. Putin wouldn't have invaded if NATO built up troops on the border from day 1
@@mikejones6065 or worse China would overtale Russia. This is deep hate and enmity that is going on, Russia knows that nukes would be end of the game, but if they partner/surrender with China and 200M troops march from the East, then it power shifts significantly between nato and russia

These are the words of an ostrich. Back in the real word, with heads out of the sand, far from all wars are wars of choice to every participant. Often the only choices are (i) war now vs. (ii) war tomorrow vs. (iii) subjugation and destruction of ones life. Therefore, every human being on the planet except a _tiny_ minority of very extreme pacifists "advocates war" in certain imaginable and possible situations. Yet if/when the war happens, they can't all be "on the front line" as wars are not fought on the front line only. An unsupported front line is an intrinsically absurd concept. Wars are resource hungry undertakings. Who supplies the resources to those on the front line?
Has any politicians on both sides experienced war like in trenches, cold, hot, bad food & water, butt and groin rashes, lice, etc. Worse is loosing eyes, painful burns, etc. Gunshot to abdomen may not kill instantly, tear up intestines, liver, pancreas, etc. Slow painful death… rotting away… if surgery, belly can not be closed and stays open. NATO and Ukraine need to face reality. They thought economic sanctions would collapse Russia. They got all the oil and gas, cola minerals they need. Babushka and Ivan in Urals plant their own rows of potatoes, beetroots, onions, plus chickens… store in jars in basement. Get stuff from China sac cross the border. What sanctions?

This British colonel has contradicted himself several times. Like many Western military commanders, political correctness is more important than objective reality. Western military manufacturing capacity is less now than it was in WW2.
The WW2 bankrupted the British empire...it had a debt of 240% of the GDP...it had to hand over all gold reserves to the USA to avoid sinking...The cold war era then bounced back the economy somewhat ...but after the financial crisis every body wants to rich on printed/speculative money and nobody spends on real assets.... Britain is unable to defend itself from some "fake-refugees on dinghies"...never mind against a real army-powered resilient and tough and rough forged Russia...
of course it is less and you know why? because they were at war in ww2, unlike the following years, there was no point to manufacture weapons in masses up till now.
Because artillery is only useful if you don´t have air superiority, since NATO has, it stopped relying so much on artillery, this is why production has decreased. Ukraine is fighting in a WW1 scenario.
"...It's also weaker than ever." I do not believe that. Economically we are much stronger. And even militarily speaking, countries like the UK and France can deal with Russia on the conventional level, Ukraine shows us right now because they are holding back Russia with a much smaller force.
If NATO troops went into battle with Russia, since the Russians are clinging desperately to their much vaunted Surovikin Line, {RIP Suroovikin} that was built to protect the Russians from the Ukrainians, I really believe that the last thing on the minds of the Russians will be to raise an armed response from Russia on any other NATO countries. They will be trying to cover their a$$3s from the buck-shot as they flee back to their own borders. Consider Russia's real capacity. Russian T-14 Amata Tanks. "According to TASS on August 22, 2023, sources within the military-industrial complex confirmed that the T-14 Armata tank will finally enter into its finalization phase, which is the process of completing or perfecting the development, design, and production of a vehicle to render it prepared for operational deployment." {Note: "The T-14 was first unveiled in 2015. The Kremlin ordered production of 2,300 of the tanks by 2020, but this was later stretched to 2025, according to Russian media reports." There have been about two dozen built to date. (Jan 2024)} "A total of 2,300 MBTs expected to be supplied by 2020, modernizing 70 percent of the Russian tank fleet. The Uralvagonzavod plant was expected to roll out around 500 T-14 Armata tanks per year. In 2017, the order was scaled back to a test batch of 100 tanks by 2020, with the program extended to 2025." "In January, British military intelligence reported Russian forces in Ukraine were reluctant to accept the first tranche of the tanks because of their “poor condition”. {Having to be towed from Red Square during a parade would, presumably, not have enhanced its reputation.} "It also said any deployment of the T-14 would likely be “a high-risk decision” for Russia and one taken primarily for propaganda purposes. “Production is probably only in the low tens while commanders are unlikely to trust the vehicle in combat,” the British military said. “Eleven years in development, the programme has been dogged with delays, reduction in planned fleet size, and reports of manufacturing problems.” "The T-14 was first unveiled in 2015. The Kremlin ordered production of 2,300 of the tanks by 2020, but this was later stretched to 2025, according to Russian media reports." Apparently, there are still only a few dozen that have been produced. "To address various problems, Russia also decided to restart the production of the T-80 combat tank {first produced in 1980}, a Soviet-era model, mainly due to its performance in the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. The T-80 has shown certain capabilities useful for the Russian Armed Forces, offering valuable insights into their potential usefulness. They have also introduced a new variant of this, the T-80BVM in 2023." {Is it possible that the lack of availability of electronics, chips and other components, previously supplied by "Free World" {West aligned} sources have influenced the decision to revert to the T-80 tank variant ? I believe that may be so.} 138 JOURNAL OF INDO-PACIFIC AFFAIRS JULY-AUGUST 2023 India Takes a Step Away from the Russian Defense Industry Matthew Stein Abstract India and Russia have had a long-standing security cooperation partnership, with India relying heavily on Russian weapons and equipment for its armed forces. However, Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi launched the Make in India initiative in 2014 {interesting year date} to develop the country’s defense industry and reduce dependence on imports. The war in Ukraine has caused India to accelerate this process and end negotiations or cancel agreements with Russia on several weapon system acquisitions. Indian officials cited Russia’s logistical problems in delivering new systems as the reason for the cancellations. This article examines how the conflict in Ukraine has impacted one of Russia’s key security cooperation partnerships and how India’s defense industry is developing to produce replacements for these systems. The study provides insights into the challenges and opportunities for India to achieve its goal of self-reliance in defense production. The End.

Russia has at least proven that its soldiers can die in the thousands for what are extremely important geopolitical interests to it. Are NATO soldiers capable of this, who actually do not have the same interests and ties with Ukraine as Russia? Wouldn't it be easier for them in this case not to go to war, but to reelect their governments to more reasonable ones? And does this colonel really think that their armies will fight better than the Ukrainians for Ukraine? And does he really think that if NATO troops, due to their numbers, actually go to war with Russia, she will not use nuclear weapons against them, which, among other things, will turn them into the ruins of what they are now.
