Yeah, for Microsoft it just makes so much sense that someone's ban report is 100% legitimately valid from another game that the person NEVER EVER played whatsoever.
And I KNOW FOR A FACT Microsoft NEVER investigates chat reports themselves. There's absolutely no way a HUMAN reviews them. AI moderation is a DISASTER
I was hit on one of my accounts and I had like a 2 year ban, but I am glad this is now fixed for you Ghillie, I havent gotten my account fixed yet but seeing that you were able to get it resolved means its not impossible so this is a massive W for you and the community!
@okay7332 The problem is he had twenty one strike, a permanent ban and all his appeals were denied. He CALLED customer service and they couldn't help him. As a regular consumer he was done
Just makes me wonder people with no following at all if they have any recourse? Usually xbox doesn’t care what happens once you’re banned you’re banned. Hopefully this opens their eyes!

This is reason why trying to moderate EVERYTHING people say doesn't work. Bad actors will always find a way to exploit the system one way or another. As a PS user Sony also wants to moderate what we say but atleast I can opt out of it as far as I'm aware. the XBOX strike system is a joke and shouldn't have been implemented in the first place. When Mojang announced their report feature into Minecraft people were already planning and looking for ways to exploit it and get players falsely banned. BEFORE THEY EVEN ADDED IT.
The only difference between Xbox and ps is that Sony don't ban consoles just accounts Xbox well ban the whole console so you have to buy a new one I hope ps don't ever get the idea to do that.

Sh remember something happening on Java edition Minecraft. When first introduced. Sh few people even did this to alt account just show how dangerous can be. But dude small. Glad starting our more those Minecraft should be ashamed of themselves that's why never touch bedrock or get mods or use alt account on severs keep my main account safe

Glad to eke you got it all worked out, and you are 100% correct when you say your lucky enough to have a voice. All us little players would literally have zero chance to get this fixed. I’ve honestly been more indulged in this story more then anything else the past few days. And it’s nice to see the community come together to help out where possible.

I've been banned 3 times for making a Looking for Group post, and it was me recruiting for a ingame group, nothing bad on it at all. I don't understand why I keep getting hit with the suspensions, so I just quit trying to play with people. I am 3/6 reports from being fucked
The most disgusting thing about this whole issue is that if Microsoft respected freedom of speech and didn't regulate what can and can't be said, this would've never happened, i know that some things that people say can be hard to digest, but allowing those people to speak freely is what would allow us to speak freely as well. Think this just shows why hate speech rules shouldn't have enforcement action and we should just encourage people to block more. It's too easy to manipulate and abuse them like in this example when just blocking the person spouting nonsense is WAY easier.
The only enforcement that occurs is hate speech. You'd think if the only ever enforcement getting reported is just the one type that its fake Nobody who needs uses the report system, only people who dont need to use against in spite. Very glad you got it sorted. Must have been a miserable & stressful weekend. It really highlights to me the need for games companies to be able to flag any content creators accounts. The accounts would then require a human review before any automated moderation system kicks in. It's a small price to pay for the gaming companies in return for the promotion and exposure you bring to the game. It's inevitable your public profile will put a target on your back. The system should be able to take account of that.
They're unfortunate for playing online nothing else. Enforcement system just leaves them with no defense of power and now no one survives. Remember how we didn't deal with this when no one was taking the lead and implanting moderation where it wasn't needed
What is hate speech anyway when it is entirely subjective? And without context, or fabricated context anything can be hate speech. Protect yourself and run away from any that regulates hate speech, they don't know what they are doing.
Hope you get fixed as well, I know a few others that got hit by it, at least now we know it can be reverted and microsoft will likely be forced to check the system for other false bans!
We still need to spread this as far and as wide as possible because it's not just the GTA community being targeted it's anyone who's won at a game a beaten the wrong sore loser for them to sink this low to get "pay back". I hope the person or people behind it will have their accounts banned and hopefully even police involvement.
It’s a shame that bad press is the only thing that really makes a company do right by their customers. For people who don’t have the platform like Ghillie who are going through the same thing or something similar, try making a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. It can garner a similar reaction from companies because at least to an extent they all care about their public perception, although some more than others.

Im really sorry for what you have to go through. It must be very scary for you to get banned for no reason at all. This can impact your career as well. However, if this sort of thing happens weather its fraud or any sort of harassment to frame you. I reccommed reaching out to someone who knows alot about false claims or try reporting the people who are trying to frame you. I dont know xbox communication because i am a PS5 player. The only thing i can help you with is to report the people who are framing if the try to do it again.
Gilly thank God that you’re 10 years of work in GTA online were recovered and preserved because I can already imagine you would’ve either given up or would’ve taken you a really long time of thinking about starting over in GTA online and thank God that that did not happen. Keep on doing what you do best and teach try hard and sweats not to get in your way.

The fact they ask for so much money to even play on Xbox Live at all, the ban exploit was totally inexcusable. But at least it's dealt with and they can use this as a learning experience to counter future issues.

Trivial compared to this but I got muted to other players in game and it would be lifted when my behaviour improved. I also don't use in game voice chat and stay out of public lobbies so I'm baffled

if Microsoft didn't reverse the ban then they would be faced with a steep drop of membership renewals. I advise this is the best and probably only effective method to reverse false flag bans going forward. I, like many of your fans are happy with this result. I continue to watch your videos even though I haven't played any *ockstar games since 2019.

The people that falsely report just because you made them mad or they don't like you need to grow up if you get mad at a game to the point where you falsely report someone or SWAT them you shouldn't be playing video games at all if you take things too serious
