We have a bidet at home and in our RV. We luv them. But we also have a 4 month old kitten and luckily we turned our water off when we left the RV because she jumped on the toilet played with the handle and turned it on. We therefore only had a small puddle verses a flooded RV. But I'm pretty sure you wouldn't have an issue with ur pups lol. We got our bidets off of Amazon and the one in the RV is only hooked to cold water which isn't a big deal.
Peaches😂😂😂 We camp in nice campgrounds, but lock up our watchdog surge protector. An expensive item to replace if it was taken. Better safe than sorry.
HA! We were just at the neighboring campground Nashville Resorts and cabins which has actually now been bought out by the koa and will be converted this fall into an EXPENSIVE koa. That word in caps is why we had to stay at the RV Resorts and Cabins campground - lol We did check out the Two rivers campground and IF we had our rig(in for warranty work and WAITING desperately on approval - our front cap has a crack in it after 2 uses...AND they just asked for pics of our truck...hmmm this isn't going well) we would have stayed there. With the kids grown no reason for us to do the KOAs anymore. But, it was a a beautiful KOA (of course I had to ride through it) Enjoy Nashville,
Oh man! I'm sorry you're dealing with issues on your rig! That stinks. Not all of the KOAs are bad and they make it easy to book. But we need to stop doing the resorts. We don't use ANY of their amenities. Such a waste.
I got the Watchdog in 30 amp . I love it so easy to use. One time we had a bad ground it would not turn on. We changed sites. Love the app too seeing what the rig is doing. I knpw you will love it.
We have a cheaper version of the watch dog. I also geek out over the information. I want to buy a generator and I am using the information to size it correctly. I have my wife screenshot the information under multiple conditions. I’m sure she thinks I’m crazy. I have never locked it up. You two are awesome, keep up the good work.
Nice! It just makes you feel a bit better having a generator, I think. We’re on the East Coast at the moment and it’s a good feeling to know that if the power goes out, you have SOMETHING.
Ya'll will love the surge protector ans yes my husband locks ours. We were in a severe thunderstorm in June and had a power surge so we lost power. My husband loved being able to get the power going with his phone and not going out in the pouring rain and 60 mph winds at 2:00 in the morning. It also helped letting us know how much electricity we used at the campground since we were paying for electric on top of the monthly rate. We love your doxies too. We miss ours so much. Safe travels.
My boondocking kit is similar to yours. My water bladder and transfer pump coupled with my honey wagon and macerator make things a lot easier. My Champion 4500 generator is dual fuel so I can run it on my on board propane. I bought the Champion because with a diesel truck, the last thing I needed was to haul around a bunch of gasoline! Have you always had the bull/roo cage on the front of your truck? Keep up the great videos. I look forward to seeing you guys each week!
Nice! The macerator pump sounds nice. Ha! We have hit so many deer in our lives (or them us), that we put that on as soon as we bought the truck. It wasn’t cheap, but we had a brand new vehicle in the shop for over three months, after hitting a Minnesota “deer” which are the size of moose!
That protector does a whole lot more than mine but I just have a 30 amp system. I have the progressive industry protector. It has a long wait before it kicks in about 140 seconds. To day I finished installing a transfer switch for my bluetti. Glad to see you two back on the road. E safe.
oh this one was a good 'un. I laughed at Ang's antics and choice of music while she watched Cody work. Excited the boondocking went well. And yes Cody we all know exactly what Ang is talking about when she provides her technical insights.
Hey guys. First, I have to agree with Cody. I can't stand unnecessary base. So, we have a Watchdog surge suppressor I lock it to my power cable and then lock the power box shut. I've seen and heard of all kinds of stuff walking away from campsites. Especially high ticket items like that. My wife and I love watching your videos. Angela has the best sense of humor. And we love your puppies too. Thanks for putting out so many great videos. Take care and God bless. Kirk and Christine
Thank you so much for this nice comment! We’re going to go to Lowe’s & make us up a cable lock for the watchdog. Our bike cable wouldn’t work unfortunately. I’ve found myself getting obsessed with watching the numbers on the app 😂 safe travels ya’ll!
Taking this a little further….the metal device that comes on the unit is, in my opinion, less than robust. I’ve added a padlock to the cord, so I can run a cable through the shackle of the lock as well as the standard “security device”. The downside to all of this is that there really isn’t a good way to anchor my cable to the electrical pedestal.
We have a watch dog, it is most helpful when you have issues. When you have good power, you never think about it. If you have a bad neutral it shows up quickly with wildly different voltagers on Line 1 an Line 2 under load, like when the ACs are running. Watch dog is our second EMS, our first died after I drove off with it plugged in. My fault, but it was more expensive and not repairable. I had the output plug corroded for water intrusion, and the company replace the entire unit. I have a Class A, so I moved the Watch dog inside the Power Bay to keep it out of the weather. It still works great and I still only check it when we suspect we have an issue.
"Peaches!"😂 It sounds my wife and I have more in common with you two: I have stuff saved in Amazon carts and am forever deliberating those purchases while my wife teases me when the prices change or they're no longer in stock.😅
We just left Nashville yesterday! We went to the Grand ole Opary,, The Parthenon, Ryman & hit the honky-tonks! Now we’re back at Cullman. If you can’t fix it with zip ties use duct tape. If the power is not clean the bull dog turns red!
It might have been the camera angle but when you were zip tying the cable it looked like your spare tire under the RV was crooked or loose. Just wanted to be sure it was secure so you don’t lose it.
🙂Good catch! We have a little gadget that holds the spare in tight, but after we changed tires on the Highway, we didn’t put it right back. We have it all tightened down and our block back in place!
Hi. You asked who has a bidet in their RV. We do. During the TP shortage in Covid times, we added them to our home bathrooms. We like them so much that we added one to our travel trailer. The brand we have is “Clear Rear”.

Camping is hard work... on many different levels. You guys hit all the levels, boondockin, mooch docking, partial and full hookups, the consistent part is you learn stuff and figure it out and just deal with it. Good stuff. Safe travels!
Angela you are so cute. We watch you 2 all the time and always wish there was more. Cody my husband has a power surge like you had and he said we don't need the big one. He loves to watch when Cody is fixing something. He says you are mechanical and he learns some stuff from you or gets ideas. Well now you've done it. As soon as he watches this video, he will get that Bull Dog surcharge thing or order it if it's in your store (if not over priced) Keep up the good work you two. Oh just one favor, give me your fur babies! We had one like the black one. Gosh I can't think of her name and I love it.
Haha glad we can peer pressure someone else! That way we aren’t the only ones. 🤣 There are some days that we would give you the dogs. Ha! Eris is the black and tan one. Her name means Goddess of Chaos or Destruction. She has earned that.
We stayed at a KOA in Warrenton Oregon for 8 days and it was 141.00 a day. That’s with taxes. Our watch dog is wired in line. That way it hid and locked up all of the time. Drive safe. 💕
This had a bunch of my favorite stuff. Full hook up resorts, zip ties, funny stuff, peaches. Yall have a great time and be safe. Thanks for taking us along. 😎
So proud of Cody to finally spending some money on a surge protector he has wanted for a very long time. Angela you are a hoot. Enjoy your experience at the KOA resort. You both deserve it after boon-docking for 3 weeks. Your property is beautiful.
We are running the Hughes Power Watch Dog Inline in our 5th Wheel. Love it.. It works perfect.. and Cody.. Don't worry about geeking out on this.. I do it all the time and Teresa gives me the same reaction... The inline install was a piece of cake... if I can do it anyone can. Love our KOA Stops. they always treat us well.. we always get what we pay for. Thanks for sharing another video with us. From one RV gear geek to another.. Safe Travels.. ya'll need to come out West!
We have them at home and as soon as we get our fifth wheel one will be installed! Angie your expressions are priceless. Absolutely love your channel and videos! Cody no matter how hard you try to be serious, she always finds a way to trump you!
A woman's perspective, I love it! Laughed till I cried, only because I can relate. I'm that guy, research, talk, ask my buddy, etc. LOL RV Comedy tour!
I bought two hard wired units. I don't want to have to pull this out every time I camp. Hard wired one in and have a spare so if it gets fried I can replace easily. Have been using it now 8 yrs and we F/T too.
Cody, you and I are cut from the same cloth! I will absolutely research to death any high dollar item I am reluctant to pull the trigger on, and my wife has the same reaction! I also get excited about stickers! lol I did put a bidet in our 5th wheel and we love it. MAKE SURE IT IS AN RV SPECIFIC one though! First one I bought for $30 off Amazon was a no go. RV's don't have "standard" plumbing sizes. Of course the RV one is more expensive, like everything RV. We have been full time now for a little over a month and we love it. We also love you guys. You are "Our People"! lol Hopefully we bump into you on the road, I can see a campfire and cocktail night being epic! Safe travels and keep up the great content!
Good call on the RV specific bidet! This plumbing can be quietly for sure. I don’t know that we’ll do it (Ang will make that call 😂). We’d be down for cocktails and camp fires anywhere!
Good purchase, guys.. I have had a couple. I have has three different campers. However, I have had power surge issues twice. The Guard Dog was completely fried, but there was no damage to the camper. Guard Dog replaced them both for free!!! Keep the receipt. It will be required for the refund.
Hey y'all, I have a watchdog and I went to the orange store and bought some stainless steel cable and clamps and made a lock cable, I don't always use it but it's there if I feel like I need it
Yes! Yes! Yes! Angela! You hit the nail on the head!!! I tell my husband to STOP analyzing all. The. Time! You totally cracked us up in the end mocking your hubs! My hubs even laughed because he KNOWS he’s like that! Lol😅😅😅
We now have a Progressive Industries EMS that is wired inside the RV so don't worry about theft. Before this one we had a 30 amp model that plugged into the power pedestal and we did lock that one to the pedestal. I would never plug into a campground power pedestal without a good EMS. They can save you thousands of $$$ if there are electrical problems and in a worst case scenario save your life!
Absolutely love your channel. Your info, your travel adventures and your style of content creation is great, but your chemistry and laughter is the best on this medium. My bride and I feel the love you share with each other and would love to be camping neighbors with you and the pups. OH! 😁PLEASE tell the pups that we watch every ad {all the way through}, so we help pay for their kibble.
Nice to see the kids again. You haven't shown those little babies much. Girl you are crazy. I love it! 💯 I bust up from your sassy ass. 😅 Thanks for being you. ✌️😁
OMG! I just put a bidet in our RV. It only has water no heated water and no blow dryer but it is so so nice. I have been begging my husband for years. We got the one from Lowes that is built into the seat. I absolutely love it. We are on a 60 day trip and got lots of use with it. We also have the watchdog and I have been worried about theft but no issues on it either. Good choice also. We love having the app. Safe travels.
Mind you on business== major crackup. You two are so much fun. 25 minutes of pure enjoyment. Glad you had a good travel day. Enjoy your few days of luxury. What better place than Nashville ❤❤
Found your channel earlier this week and have been binge-watching. I enjoy the informality and the banter between you two. It's good to be married to your best friend, and I can tell that you two are. My wife and I are the same. We'll be part-timers when I retire in a couple months. A good EMS is crucial. There are cheap ones out there, but it's best to invest in a good one. Money well spent. Peace of mind. We use the South Wire 34951 50A EMS. It doesn't have the bluetooth interface with the cell phone, but it does check the circuits before flipping a relay to allow power through to the RV power cable and will cut off again if shore power becomes bad (and will re-engage once power becomes good again). The LED panel cycles through voltage, power, amperage, frequency readings. It works. I do like the option of being able to get EMS readings on my cell phone. If I ever have to replace my current EMS, I'll probably get a Watchdog EMS, similar to yours. I kept my 30A Surge Guard from our previous unit, for those times that we stay at a site with only 30A service.
We have not locked ours up but it is a 30 amp without EPO. The app is great. When we started RVing we could inventory power needs using the app. This helped us decide on a small inverter to run the fridge during travel.
We had the 50 watchdog prior to that the 30 amp model for our Jayco. We just sold our 2022 303RLS and explained the importance of it to the new owner and sold it with the Reflection. No we never locked it up. I like the new one has wifi, ours was just a bluetooth model. They are great to monitor how much electricity each item uses if you are calculating how much solar you need.
Y’all are a riot! LOL. Angela, I can totally identity with your reaction to that fabulous purchase with the awesome app. 🤣. Oh, and y’all absolutely deserved time at the FHU, resort style campground. Every once in a while we all need a treat. 💖💙
I've had the Watchdog for 2 years and I never lock it. I had s minor problem (it still worked), but I contacted Hughes and they sent me a brand new one. Mine has cut off power for low voltage before. It definitely works. Also, a big thumbs up for the bidet!
I lock mine up. If someones going to steal it, I'm going to make them work for it. Nothing for free. Except maybe wheel chocks....but you did kinda work for them.
Angela you are soo funny. I was laughing on the part when u held the surge protector and said how much he talked about it. I love your channel. Have a blessed day and happy camping!!!
Fresh “PEACHES” (low voice undertone) LOL. We’ve had the Power Watchdog for about 6 years. It’s essential in our opinion. Our trip to the New York finger lakes this year proved it. We had extremely low power and it kept shutting off protecting our RV! You’ll love it!! Thanks for sharing!
Ha. That talking to Angela back and forth about the surge protector is exactly like my house. I think about things for a long time before pulling the trigger. My wife gets tired of me talking it over.
60Hz is the normal frequency of A/C current in the US. 50Hz in Europe. It's basically the wave length between peaks. Don't worry about it, the only time it might vary is when using the generator.
