This is what Qur’an 17:97 and 2:6-7 assert - namely that God guides certain individuals to go astray and then punishes them severely for their transgressions. Therefore, those Quranic verses delineate that God is unjust and cruel. Additionally, temporary transgressions do not warrant eternal punishment. That would be worse than torturing someone to death for a scratch. Punishing someone with eternal torment for any temporary crime is extremely disproportionate, so therefore, an all-merciful God punishing anyone with eternal torment is not plausible.

So to say that he was upset over one of his wives death is an unfair excuse to get another one since he had a few others already. Also even in those days it's true marriages were done earlier. But please note that a 6 year old marrying a 53 year old was not normal even in those times. Such age gaps were not common before his time. If you said a 10 year old married a 14 year old then yes you can argue its common. I just have a genuine question. If you had a 6 year old daughter would you allow her marriage to someone claiming to be sent by God whose at the age of 53? If he's sent by God. He should have the best and purest of actions.
