Hmm. This story reminds me of an old book from my middle school days. I can't quite recall its name, but it was about a village who also raised dragons for the future of dragon riders. Within those dragons, the color became its class, bronze was the BEST dragon you could get. The most powerful, the most agile, the most pretty. And of course, the MC wanted this dragon. But it was still and egg and it would only pick its rider when it hatched. I won't bore anyone with the deets, but spoiler alert, it chose the MC. The book eneded there. Its nice to see a story like this that closely resembles that book. I read that book and was angered there wasn't a sequal! I think i can imagine this is what happened to him. He became the best dragon rider. I'll have to look up the manhwa and see the story for myself :)
I think I read the story you're talking about it's a short story from the Dragonriders of Pern series. I loved reading the books so much when I was in high school however I lost all my copies when my storage got caught in fire a few years ago. The series was a great read though and I would a hundred percent recommend taking a look if you are curious. Quick synopsis of the basic plot (not including character stories cause there's way too many) from Dragonriders of Pern for anyone interested. Every 200 to 400 years a 50 year event would occur known as the Thread Fall, during the Thread Fall creatures know as the Thread large ribbon like tape worm looking creatures would fall from the sky, corrupting and killing the land upon making contact with it. The Humans who inhabit Pern only discovered this after the tragedy that was the first Thread Fall, after this disaster the people thought of ways to avoid this disaster happening again so someone came up with the idea of using dragons to fly into the sky and burn the thread before they hit the ground since the thread was highly flammable. Thus humans then made the Keeps places where they would raise and train dragons along with their dragonrider's to be able to fight the thread and prevent the tragedy of the first Thread Fall from happening again. Also dolphins are smart as shit for some reason.
Hi I'm not sure if this is the right series, but the description reminded me immediately of the Eragon series. I don't know if that is the actual name, but I have 4 books by Christopher Paolini given to me by my brother, and they are: Eragon, Eldest, Brisingr and Inheritance.
@@millswright7799 Funny actually that was my first thought too but what changed my mind was the fact he brought up that the bronze dragon is the best you could get. Seeing as in Dragonriders of Pern for men the most desired dragon was the bronze dragon meanwhile for woman the most desired dragons was the golden dragons, for the most part female dragons only chose female riders and male dragons only choose male riders Golden being the female and bronze being male. The reason I don't believe it's the Inheritance cycle series is because if I remember right they're dragons bond with their riders before hatching and their rider needs to be present at the hatching, meanwhile in Pern the dragons can just hatch by themselves but if they have to choose you after they hatch and if they don't like any of the candidates they they won't choose anyone. If a potential rider they like doesn't get to them before their biological clock goes they enter a trance-like state before yeeting themselves into Pern's version of the shadow realm called the in-between. Though honestly I could be misremembering I haven't read either of the two series in like four years so I could be wrong but I'm glad I'm not the only one who remembers either of these pieces of work people who even know have been becoming harder for me to encounter I honestly wonder why. Also if my reason for what sounds a little condescending sorry it's not meant to be but I really can't tell if it sounds like a rant, I'm just glad there other other people who remember and I'm not going crazy.
@@vanixiii5657 Yeah I searched everywhere.... last update was 6 years ago. Couldn't find any information about the author though, so I cannot know if anything happened.
This is a great one from back in the day. I should find it and read it again. I remember really enjoying it. Basically they tried to frame him and say he stole egg so that he would be persecuted. The riders hated that he was better than them. When he'd been bullied and treated as a slave. That's why I appreciate the person who took him in.
everything about chanbi and the rider gives off toothless and hiccup. the desigh and colour of the dragon alone gives off toothless. but none the less i like this so far.
I appreciate the lack of text to speech in this video, this whole channel actually. Hearing an actual person for an hour is better than a robotic voice
How is it a theives guild if they kill people, thats a bandit group, thieves dont kill unless they have literally no choice and even then its shameful to have been caught and have to do so in the first place. And whats with so many characters all being bloodthirsty morons?
2:30 how did he save the rider? what happened to the dragon and where the hell did the giant lizard come from? that was a bad cut.. ok so it was a future then back to present cut
I don’t know about anyone else but the concept of the outcast of the village rides reminds me of how to train ur dragon and don’t get me wrong I love both thought it’ll be call if anyone else noticed and it’s a great toon by the looks of it ❤
The villages inferred they were a bunch of bandits. Aiding and abetting bandits is not a noble deed. Writers should be careful in not looking the "victims" look like villains.
