Awww it been a long time since I’ve watched baby Dopey. He is my all-time favourite baby. Such a cute and special little guy. And Reddy is a great Mom. ❤
Reddy is the sweetest Mum! She is so gentle with Dopey. Her touch is caring and gentle. Even when she is "biting" him, it is clear she is not using her teeth and no pressure, just a gentle hold! The love between Reddy and Dopey is endearing! 🐇
Arroz, I loved the video footage you shot of the baby & his corn cob! I watched it several times and laughed each time! He thought he really had himself a treasure!
It's so hard seeing adorable, precious little Dopey with those big innocent eyes being weaned. Especially, because he's really way too young for that. But, I understand what mom is doing.. She's not saying never again, Dopey! She's saying, "OMG Dopey! I'm gonna start to bleed soon if you don't give it a break for a while!" "But, mommy still loves you!😘😘😘" Not for nothin but, I'm in pain just seeing poor Reddy with that one long stretched out teat being sucked, pulled & twisted. Obviously, she has had babies before Dopey because that teat was already stretched out. Is there something wrong with the other (left) side, or did all her kids just choose her right side? Or, is the other one defective & not able to produce milk? I know usually the babies choose one side over the other but all her kids chose that side? Damn! That's got to be painful! BTW, where are her other kids? Are they there & I just didn't notice? I'm sorry for asking so many questions. I'm fairly new and have decided to go back to the beginning to see all the monkeys from when they were babies & some monkeys that I haven't seen in your more recent videos. It's interesting to watch. Not to mention you're an excellent cinematographer & narrator. I have to admit that I prefer hearing you narrate rather than reading. RU-vid made it harder to go back & watch the older videos because of of format change. Before when you chose "videos," you had two choices, older or newer videos. So, your very first videos would appear on top. If there aren't a lot of videos to watch, I just scroll to the bottom to get the oldest. But, with someone like yourself that has thousands (I'm guessing) videos it would take even longer. So, now I'm choosing from your playlist & I think I'm starting from the beginning. It's going to take me a long long time to get all caught up but since my husband passed away 21 months ago, I have nothing but time. Honestly, I need the distraction. Otherwise, my very lonely days & nights are just filled with memories and tears. Watching your videos helps to at least smile & occasionally laugh, which I never do anymore. I've never been so sad & depressed. We got married when I was 21 & we were married for 38½ years. I didn't just lose my husband, I also lost my best friend. Anyway, now that I've written a "short story," I'm going back to watching. Thank you for taking time out of your busy life to entertain us with these precious babies & the lives of these monkeys. And, thank you for helping them out with some goodies! BTW, Arroz, in case you didn't already know, those monkeys love you & have accepted you as a member of their troop. He spends all this time out there filming, then editing etc...then his own job.. That's Atleast I or we can do for him or even our lovely baby's "monkeys"... I love the idea of a calendar!! Reddy knows Dopey is to young to actually wean, she is breaking him in gradually with it. That corncob is such a small thing, but it meant a lot to a small monkey!

Heather Hart And yes at 6:37 he's back on the nipple again & @ 7:00 he gives us the face that says "Yes kids that's how it's done! Persistence pays off!" And @ 7:00 Mom gives us the "Don't judge me" look! At 17:12 he grabs something to hold on to & grabs a tender nipple. Mom moves his hand but within a few seconds he grabs it again. Too bad she doesn't grab his "sensitive area" & give it a yank! That ought to get him off her! He's like a leech!Spoiled little turd!!
Dopey isn't ready to wean, he's still clingy to mom. Most all the others have been drifting away from their mothers. Not Dopey, give him another month. I would and then encourage him to start looking for drink and food, friends, etc....
Let him get his way for another month and you are going to see another sweet pea. They have to start learning at this age that they can't have the titty 24/7. It seems mean but it's not.
I wonder if Dopey was born prematurely? Oh, and I have been wanting to suggest that you try a little less close in zoom while there is a lot of movement going on. I think it would be much easier to follow and cause less need for refocusing.

Raspberry Enwoo Dopey is a tited baby, Reddy is spoiling him and letting him him have his way. Too soft and not strong enough because Dopey get what he wants.
What patience and love she has for her son ... She submits herself because she does not like seeing her Dopey unhappy so she prefers to capitulate before her insistence. Dopey always had a very strong insignia on his mother that is why she submits to his least wishes. Why do you want this to change ?? Reddy is one of those mothers who keep their children for a long time when others chase them even very early. He has great luck Dopey happy as a king! Long life together
Yes it is! Impossible not to fall under the spell is so beautiful so touching to look at them both. I still feel this lively emotion of joy and happiness to see the little face of Dopey huddled against Reddy. How I envy you Arroz to be able to approach them so close and to bring back such beautiful videos.
Should change ur titles, I see more nursing than weaning in most of these vids,, it would actually be more accurate if title just said baby monkeys nursing

Also when she's holding him still in a bite position do you think she's just biting him hard enough to make him hold still? because he does not seem very hurt I mean obviously different mothers bite at different strengths for different infractions I am sure, but it looks like she's being very gentle with him
That's the thing, maybe they should start weaning them early because the babies get to dependant on it to feed and fall asleep and to just simply hang off the nipple..
I really wish you would pan over to where ever the excitement is. Like when you hear a baby freaking out and screaming dont keep showing us a baby sleeping or nursing. We would like to see what all the screaming is about please.

g-wiz Dopey is Relentless! She's not even weaning him off for good, she's just trying to show him that he can't pacify himself 24/7 by suckling! and she is so patient and sweet about it maybe she should give him a good hard bite like some of the moms do, she's gonna have to!
I've read some comments on here where a person would love to pinch a babies monkeys head off and use it as a ping ball. Now look at that sweet little face, how could anyone want to hurt such a beautiful little baby like this? It shows there are some really sick minded people in this world and I wonder how they treat human children or people in general, cause it is a fact that if a person can be cruel to a animal and love to watch a animal being abused they can and are that way towards people. So many trolls on here looking for attention I guess. I could never hurt a animal especially snapping their head off with my own hands and enjoying doing it, then use their little head as a ball. People who do this or even think about doing it need help badly.

Dopey is the first baby for Reddy? She is just following the example of the other's ,it appears...even though Dopey is actually too young and too small to be weened .
Actually they don't total wean them. They don't want them to be another sweet pea. They have to start weaning them early. They have to start learning. It seems mean but it's not.
Oh no! I have never seen them bite them "there" before, not even threatening to bite there! I think that part of Reddy's problem with Dopey is because he is using her left teat as a hand hold which he grips very tightly, so she could've like that very much.
See, now that's how you do it. Replace the tit with food and now throw drink in there too. Then he'll be alright. Amari is the one that kicked Lori to the curb, No, tit, no food no drink, and if Lori did get food or drink she would have excepted it easier. With Amari grabing food out of Lori's mouth or hands, who does that to their child. Monkey or any other animal, and even humans.
Why don't you give goodies to the little ones also. All the goodies go to the mothers and they are selfish and greedy, they don't leave anything for the little ones to eat.
The babies are still nursing so the moms need food more to produce more milk for the babies. At this young of an age the babies don’t really care too much for solid food and would rather nurse anyways
That other video of dopey looks like he is Way too demanding of his mom. This one younger he's better Looking she made him like that older one Too strained looking And she cant handle Spoiled is what he was to be.
Can the mom teach Baty how to eat corn? He keeps gnawing at the ends & leaves rows of corn. That is before he drops it. And Dolly should still nurse, maybe at night! (my two cents)
