I can't put into words how much I need this to be added to TF2, I love playing spy and I love new sapper skins. I use the Ap-Sap and the Snack attack most often. I might not like the red-tape recorder a ton, but if it were a funny fish I would ABSOLUTELY be using it more. I voted for it on the steam workshop, I hope we get to see it in-game one day!
Everything about this is so well done... so tf2... I love it. I can imagine spy taking it out and saying something about how tacky and unrefined it is lmao
@@spookychungus9797 Unfortunately not entirely possible. We could either have made the mechanical noises match the animation or match the tempo, but not both, as you can't pick and choose what animation to use for slower tempo songs. In the end we decided to make the sounds match the animation instead
this is almost perfect, if this was added to the game i'd become a spy main only thing i'd change is maybe make the wood gray for blu team, the button might not be enough for some people at a glance. just my opinion though

I like reskins, but Valve never added another since then(7 years ago) There a many good weapon reskins, which would also be for better prices than Cases, but idk why they're not adding any. Also about Red-Tape-Recorder, it's not suck, it has its uses, just weak at showing its good sides. If Engie is very far away and buildings are sapped, Engie wouldn't be able to build another one till Sapped building unsapped or destroyed. Since RTR has slower sap time, you just make Engie's work even slower. I wish there was another Sapper of such type: "Regress" Sapper +) Takes 3 hits to destroy(4 with Jag) +) Disables buildings and after 8 seconds, reverting building to level 1(still disabled) -) Deals -100% damage -) Cooldown on Sapper placement for 4 seconds. Placed a cooldown, so Spy wouldn't have a Sapper which has a health of 3 hits from Wrench. Engie has to be away from the building in order to make strat work.
Are there any uploads of the undistorted full lengths of the renditions of the songs that this plays? Would love to hear these versions of Rocket Jump Waltz and Upgrade Station without all the warping.
Oh, I never thought people would be interested in them. I recreated em by hand in FL studio and didn't do the full songs, just enough for the fish. If there are more people interested though I can see what I can do! Thanks for the feedback :)
@@nanoco1000its nuts how valve refuses to add reskins. there's so many awesome ones and valve is just leaving them all on the table! is it just because valve doesn't want to have to add new stranges? (why arent they doing that either???)
It's currently just a mod for the Red Tape Recorder, but it's available to vote for on the Steam Workshop to (hopefully) make its way into the game for real :)
