My apologies for using this video (of mine) to remember a special man, a remarkable man, who passed-away two years ago today, on, February 17, 2022. His name was John Vincent Laycock, a Middlesbrough man, 'Johnny Laycock' was a musician, an actor, an agent, an impresario unlike I believe any other in British Show Business history. He was a friend of mine for many years. I worked for-him hundreds of times, and with-him, on dozens of occasions. In sport, statues of numerous players and managers have appeared outside football stadiums. I tried, (via newspapers and radio stations), to get a message to the people of Middlesbrough about this Show' Biz' LEGEND/GIANT JOHNNY LAYCOCK to suggest that a statue of him should be erected in the centre of Middlesbrough: Regrettably, I failed ... Johnny died in his Spanish retirement home 'two years ago today', February 17. 2022. Had he lived! Next month, he would have been '99'. I am not a member of any Websites, unable therefore, to get this message onto the internet.
