Nobody knew earlier and still many do not know what a Coral is and where it comes from. It's a body part of a sea animal. People from olden times have not questioned the practices of custom/tradition and have simply followed them. It's now time that one should tell them and make the change. We have to protect the Coral reefs from getting destroyed. Do not use Coral as a gem, as it is not a gem nor a stone.

As of now since you are going through Rahu Maha dasha both the stones are not required. Also your Rahu moves to the 12th house in Bhava Kundali , hence Hessonite i.e. Gomed is also not suggested.
Please do not use or wear Coral in any shape or form. Coral is part of a living being (a marine animal). It is bad to wear a Coral. Wear a Blood stone (which is a gemstone - heliotrope) if it is suitable.
