My husband and I booked with Tyler’s company last year and it was such a lovely experience!! Alyssa helped us plan the perfect Disneyland trip for our 4 year old daughter’s birthday and it was magical. I can’t say enough good things about Alyssa and how incredibly relieving and fun she made the travel/Disney process for us. Will definitely be reaching out for more trip planning support in the future. 🙌🏻
I have learned so much from their vlogs when we book our trip we will be working with Tyler Travels lol for sure . Plus we are not far in the Midwest from each other .
I literally slap a second coat of spf on halfway through the day right over makeup, same as you Jess! The tint blends in and I’m just a bit more glowy. Who appreciates that Jessica kept her ears on the whole time ?! 🤩😂 Love it!
I strongly recommend doing some research on spf powder (the format) as the stuff I've seen from Derm's says they really don't provide reliable coverage to the level stated. It's not just about when you burn (UVB), but also UVA. Really important to know about the reliability of the format/product type, not just if you like a particular product. Sun sticks are much more reliable and there are many that go well over makeup. Putting spf on top of makeup might not feel great but it's def better than using an spf powder! The cushion compact spas are also really good
I am a native south floridian, and go to disney often! My base products are moisturizer, then neutrogena age shield face sunscreen 70 spf, then top it with IT Cosmetics cc cream with 50 spf! My spf game is NO JOKE!
I am a sweaty Betty at Disney/in Florida and whenever I use a setting spray, my makeup stays. I also almost always wear a hat when I go to the park during the day so that my face is shielded from the sun and I don’t get a headache - so win / win!
I think Jamie Paige recommended having a separate sponge to use for reapplying your regular SPF over makeup and that seemed to work out well for her. And then I like the SPF lip oil from Brush on Block from Dr. Sam Ellis’ recommendation videos!
OMG I love this kind of videos! I’m going to Disneyland Paris in a couple of weeks and AHHHH this just got me SO excited to plan my outfits and make up looks for the trip!💗💗💗
My normal Disney makeup was always a tinted sunscreen that I could reapply throughout the day, or I would do a non tinted sunscreen with the essence powder foundation and then just mascara and some brow gel
I feel like I’ve tried so many SPF lip products and I often have the same gripe about taste (and texture!), but here are my favorites: - Oars and Alps (standard lip balm texture) - Jack Black (Vaseline/Aquaphor texture and they sell great flavor options) - Brush on Block lip oil in Fig (very thin lip oil texture) Paula’s Choice makes an SPF 50 lip balm, but it’s not my absolute favorite because the texture is kind of thick in a weird way and it has a little bit of that sunscreen taste. I would still use it in the future, though!
Friend, YES, dark circles -- at least for me -- are a part of aging. And even moreso -- I'm getting more blueness/darkness in the inner eye area where the inner corner of your eyes meet the top part of your nose -- if I don't wear correcter THEN concealer there now, then the No 7 powder to lock it all in, I look a solid 10 years older. But aging rocks -- it's a great privilege to get older and I'm grateful!
Jessica! Your method of applying SPF over your existing makeup and SPF will work fine if you use BUBBLE Tinted Mineral SPF 40. This formula is magic! Heard about it from Jen Phelps - it's lightweight, the tint is barely there, and it adds a little glow, which won't matter cuz your skin would already be glowing if you're reapplying, etc. And take a look at Almay's Age Essentials clear SPF lip balm; it's a fat stick with a moisturizing core, it has almost no flavor, lasts a long time and seems to be solid enough that it won't melt in the car if you stash it in the shade. About $13.00 at CVS. Love the video!
I have and use the Supergoop spf lipbalm in the strawberry scent. You can barely smell it, let alone taste it, but it’s better that way. Highly recommend!
eos makes a good spf lip balm. When my family and I were at Disney World last summer I used the elf spf mist to reapply my sunscreen. It worked very well, but is definitely glowy so next time I think I'll also apply a powder afterwards. Hope you all had a great trip!
How fun can't wait to see yours and your husband vlog !!!! Please feel free to take days WITHOUT VLOG just go be a family we love u guys n completely understand y'all do so much for us . Take time n enjoy it ...
Makeup videos in humid places validate my struggles. I live in south Louisiana & summertime is impossible for hair and makeup. Heck, all year for the hair! Nothing combats this humidity
Noticing more dark circles can also be because of your hair color changing. Your blonde is so pretty, but different hair tones can definitely make a huge difference in how your skin looks. Luckily, that's why we have concealer, so we can have the best of both worlds!
I've heard really great things abour the Cay Skin SPF lip balms that are available at Sephora. I have not tried them personally, but Jen Phelps gave them a great review!
Check out Jack Black’s intense therapy lip balm. It has SPF 25 and I found lots of different flavors. It doesn’t taste nasty and works great. It’s very hydrating for your lips.
OMG in 2019 I went to Wizarding World in Orlando & I wore the OG Shape Tape matte foundation that was a flop… I have never gotten as many compliments on my face as I did that week!! It didn’t budge at all, I miss that stuff 🥺
From another Floridian, with the heat and humidity, my makeup usually melts off. When I go to Disney, I pack the SPF and use a light to medium foundation, BB cream or CC cream. I use powder bronzer and blush because cream will not last in this heat and humidity. I do use a good setting spray to set everything. I also take an SPF powder with me and apply throughout the day. But the best recommendation is to go to Disney in the winter months! 😘
I watch your Disney vlogs my husband and I love them. Put them on replay often. 😊 I was always curious what makes up you bring on your Disney trips. So loved this video. All the rest of them as well. ❤
When I know I’m going to be out in the sun more, I’ll use the Bare Minerals Mineral Veil spf 25 to set my makeup. Of course I don’t use it as my only spf, but I figure if I’m putting on powder anyways I might as well top off with a bit of spf coverage. Only downside is since it’s a loose powder it’s not the greatest to put in your purse for touch ups.
Just an FYI from someone who lives in Florida and had skin cancer to anyone that is looking for good facial sunscreens(or just in general body sunscreens), Hawaiian Tropic face products are phenomenal! My favorite is the sheer touch sunscreen face serum, it is so hydrating and glowy but not greasy and sinks in quickly. My second favorite is their new weightless hydration watermist for face. They also have a sunscreen powder that is fantastic. Their sheer touch body sunscreen is wonderful, and their weightless hydration sunscreen spray is my daily go to. I feel like so many people overlook them and their products because they associate them with beach days and heavy sunscreen, but that's not the case at all. I've tried countless sunscreen products and I just keep coming back to Hawaiian Tropic.
I love the supergoop SPF powder so much- I actually use it on my babies too and they never get sunburn. I love that I can reapply it throughout the day
The best spf lip balm is the jack black brand. Sold at Ulta, Sephora, target and Amazon. They have great flavors and you don’t get the nasty spf taste. And affordable. ❤ on top of that it’s actually very nourishing. The only day lip balm that prevents dryness on my lips.
Layering sunscreens really work well for me being so pale, the sun literally hurts sometimes. But layering the same sunscreen doesnt seem to hit as well as two different ones. Ive gotten a rash from layering the same one before.
I always say to just drive to the parks! If you’re staying on property/at a good neighbor resort, your parking at the parks is included in your resort fees. It’s SO much faster than waiting to make it onto a bus at the end of the night.
Loved this! The heat/humidity down south is no joke (coming from a Louisianian). I’ve been following you for years and I don’t know if you’ve ever done a video like this before but could you do a video breaking down planning a trip to Disney? We want to attempt to go next year and it’s been years since we’ve been so now the planning process seems impossible to navigate haha. I’d love like tips/tricks for a Disney vacay from you! Sending lots of love your way❤
The Super Goop play SPF 30 lip balm with mint is SO NICE! I just got it but it doesn’t feel greasy and doesn’t have a nasty taste. I like the mint feeling!😍
I don’t wear makeup when I go to Disney because I don’t want to get up any earlier than I have to. Plus we are there from open to close, and I feel like there would be mascara all over my face. I still love this video. Anything Jessica Braun, I am all about.
I have an spf powder from Hawaiian tropic that I like for touch up’s 😊 about your reapplication method, I actually think applying spf over your makeup is preferred by dermatologists and skincare “experts”, I think it’s the only way to be sure your applying an even layer and enough 😄💖
Omg!!!! It will our first time in Disneyland ever! I always wanted to go as a kid. My school classmates would brag about Disneyland. I was like I am going to the park? 😆 yesssss❤❤❤
I got the Sunny Chick Natural Sunscreen Powder off Amazon for Disney, and it’s supposed to be really similar to the supergoop one! Also I love the Jack Black spf lip balm, or the Fresh spf lip balm
Sounds like a fun trip with your family. Your children are lucky to have the Disney loving you & Tyler as parents! Btw, Jane Iredale also has a powder SPF (Similar in style to the SuperGoop one you showed in the video). 😊
The Naked Bee makes my favorite SPF lip balm, you can't taste the sunscreen at all, it smells/tastes like bee's wax. It's also way less melty than the sunbum one which is nice in warm weather
I am a blond, blue-eyed woman. I have spent many, many times with sunburned lips. The only thing I wear for spf is ChapStick spf in the blue/black tube. It is the best I have found over the years.
Eek! Can’t wait for the Disney vlogs. This was such a fun preview! Re: spf lip balm… Someone gifted me the elizabeth Arden lip balm and I was shocked by how much I’ve fallen in love with it. Maybe worth a try next! 🤷🏼♀️
I'm actually also just about to try a new SPF powder for touch ups, the Hawaiian Tropic Mineral SPF 30 🤗 And my holy grail lip SPF is the one from Avène (SPF 50), but I do wear a nourishing lip balm under it.
SPF powders are great, but sometimes I get scared I will get powder everywhere. So last time what I did was to buy a clear spf (the black girl sunscreen 50 spf), blot and put it on top of my makeup. Not great, but better than not re-applying sunscreen.
Glad you’re enjoying your trip. The humidity and heat just got here last week 🥵 I’m only 90 minutes away so I like that I can make it a day trip whenever and not sweat days in a row in the parks 😂
I know the bare minerals powder has spf 15 I think it’s called the foundation powder. I love it even though it’s spf 15. I love all super goop stuff to so I bet it’s a good one .
I’m obsessed with the Paula’s Choice SPF lip gloss! It’s the perfect consistency and no taste at all. I even wear it to bed when I don’t need the SPF 😂 it’s so good!!!
My favorite SPF lip balm is Revlon Kiss. It comes in different colors with coordinating scents. I love tropical coconut. It's the colorless. I also have strawberry but I don't care for the pink color. It's super affordable. I bought mine a Dollar General.
Watching this on my last day of vacation in Walt Disney world 🌍 and I’m from the UK 🇬🇧. The two products that have saved my makeup out here are the UD all nighter vitamin c setting spray and the ABH clear brow gel, didn’t have high hopes for that brow gel as everyone raves about the brow freeze but WOW keeps my eyebrows in place all day in this heat! ❤
For SPF on the lips and to add color and shine, I use Physicians Formula Moisture Protect. And for the face, we live in Florida so I like to just use a regular SPF by Cerave, then use Physician's Formula concealer that has SPF 30 in it, no foundation. Just use the concealer where you need it, under the eyes, around the nose, any blemishes. Less is more when it comes to hot and humid weather. Set that with a good setting powder then if I get shiny and sweaty, use either Color Science or Super Goop powder SPF to reapply and mattify. This would be a routine for a theme park or beach/pool day.
I used that supergoop powder in wdw to top up my spf during the day and it worked so well, it’s good to also put in a hair part too, if your wearing ears and not a hat
I correctly guessed that you were in Old Key West just before you said it, only based on the color of the background. But the vast majority of my Disney knowledge only comes from you and Tyler 🤣🤣 I will say I was very intrigued by the Old Key West resort when you did your resorts episode in the podcast and when you've resort hopped over there in vlogs. Guess I paid more attention than I realized.
