does the garage door rest on top of the product? if so the door would not close. there was no demo showing it with an actual garage door.

Does this work when the water gets pushed up to 3 feet high by trucks blazing through the road and leaving wakes which break your garage door? Because that's what i need. Third time replacing my garage door in 2 years.

Well, you've got the whole world interested, Canada calling. One obvious use for something like this would be as a barrier within a garage, used in a way to make a 3- or 4-sided slush lagoon under a parked vehicle. Our vehicles are often hanging in ice and snow for 3 to 5 months of a year. Question: can this product be bent or curved at all, to make an irregular shape? Thank you,

As a Canadian I understand the obvious use of dam to keep melting snow sand in a garage. A wet vac works great to empty a full area. Think this has great potential for Canadian climate. Those thaw mats sold get damaged quickly when driving over them. Also installing the barrier can easily peeled off the floor if it was siliconed down.

Installed mine today, just had to adjust travel on the door opener to compensate for height of product. Sealed very tight, no water intrusion.

How does the joint between the two pieces keep out water? There's no way, because the two pieces are only butted up against each other without sealant. The only place it's sealed at the junction is right on the floor, where the glue is. If the water builds up higher than that (as shown in their diagram), it cannot be kept out without a sealant of some kind, but they don't use a sealant on the rest of the butted junction.

Sealant can be used to join any sections of the flood barrier together. However, the flood barrier is now supplied in complete lengths up to 6m.

It doesn’t. This seal is ONLY intended to stop water ingress INTO the garage, to protect it from external weather conditions....

This product is a lot taller than the seal they provide, and also made from a thermoplastic, as opposed to rubber, which will degrade over time when in contact with water, whereas plastic is not affected by this
