Weather warning level 8 for Western Cape 

I'm close to brackenfell side and no a single drop of rain yet school is closed

Not much rain in bellville but a few 5m showers just "Winde"

Speaking of dams - what are the current dam levels in the cape?

Maybe they can stop cutting off poor ppls water . Water is a human right

With a Premier with a surname " Winde" one may expect anything during a storm

At what time can we expect an update on schools

We experiencing the eye of the storm now .....

They only evacuated the people right under the dam... all the water is currently coming down the tiny Spruit river like a piece of ocean streaming by.... right next to a road and houses... It is exasperated by the municipality basically ripping out all the trees and straightening the river like a gutter for aesthetic reasons leading to very high water speed and damage where the straight piece stops.. Lets just hope the river doesn't climb any more... houses are probably a bit over a meter above water level, but most importantly, if it does climb, the access road will be first to go.
