Oh my god! Your work is astounding!!!! Please keep creating art and posting! I love everything you’re about. The mountains and intentions with each peak and valley was beautiful. Thank you for sharing!
Hello Andrea, my 10 year granddaughter is learning to weave and she saw your clasped weft design and away she went. Thankyou for your videos. We live in New Zealand .
@@megm. This one is super easy if you want to give it a try!! 😉 You can do so much with it, it doesn't just have to be little mountains like what I did. I honestly find it addicting and incorporate it in some way in all of my designs!
I really enjoyed this video. It showed me an easier way to do clasp weaving than I had been labouring away at before. My favourite part was the POOF method of warping!
I have GOT to try this on my rigid heddle loom! I saw a scarf recently that had triangle wedges in different of colours with a simple grey background and would LOVE to make that as a winter scarf!
excellent all around. your presentation was clear, crisp, pleasant, concise, informative and joyful. i am glad i found you and i subbed immediately. thanks for sharing your lovely soul.
I just sat and watched each of your videos. Such incredible fabrics! Such great garments and accessories. I can't weave anymore due to increased weakness in one of my arms, so I'm both jealous and awed by your art. I look forward to more videos. Sara of "Crafting with Compassion" recommended your channel.
I wish warping my 24" Kromski Harp Rigid Heddle was that easy as well (LOL). I love clasped weft as well. Made my first clasped weft piece a year ago. Fascinated with the look it gives a piece of woven fabric.
That was my way to get around filming the boring warping process 🤣 I really love the clasped-weft, too! Especially how versatile it is. I find myself throwing a little into almost everything I make nowadays, I just can't help it!
I was taught that it prevents your weft threads from becoming too taught, because changing the sheds gives your yarn a bit of slack. I've seen plenty of people change sheds after beating, so I'm not sure if it makes too much of a difference! :)
Your account is confirming my wish to obtain a Saori loom of my own! I've taken two classes at the Saori studio in NYC (Loop of the Loom). Your clear and fun videos are very inspiring. Would like to see your fringe technique. Also, might you consider a video where you show more details on warping the loom?
Thank you so much for watching!! I actually got the warp and yarns for this project from Loop of the Loom! I definitely recommend getting a Saori loom, they’re a whole lot of fun 😄 I haven’t really figured out how to show the warping process and make it fun.. it’s definitely my least favorite part haha but I showed a little more of the details in my video where I make matching jackets for me and my cat!
I love your videos, and yes, a video on hand twisting the fringe would be great! Also, love your dress, could you direct us as to where to purchase the pattern? 🤗
Thank you so much! There actually isn't a weave or a draft pattern, I just used a red ready-made warp from the SAORI brand and improvised the triangle pattern/design using the clasped-weft technique that I showed in the video!
Can you do this with a stick shuttle? I’m only on my second weaving project ever. I think I can visualize doing it, but you have more experience so I’m asking.
