Glad someone on MSNBC thinks it’s important to hear Palestinian voices. Sad it took this long. But still props to Mr. Hayes for this interview and giving us the background story of the young boy who burned to death near Al-Shifa hospital and for treating Ta-Nehisi Coates with considerably more respect than Tony Doukopil. It’s the only place on cable where Palestinians are treated like people instead of statistics.

The IOF did not apologize, in fact they continue to the same think thousands of Palestinians have been kidnaped, beaten, tortured, more than 60 have died due to torture in IOF gulags. One of the Palestinians kidnaped by the IOF and tortured to death was a doctor, but there are tens who have been killed through torture in the "only democracy's" concentration camps. Just a few minutes the IOF, sieging North Gaza and the hospitals and shelters and houses there, have kidnaped all the medical staff and doctors in Kamal Adwan hospital, as well as a number of patients, striped them off their close, and took them to an unknow place, all male and some children, the female doctors were taken into a room, forced there, denied any food or water, and no one knows what is going on there. The only one left is the hospital's director and a female, and another guy, and still no info on the male doctors/staff, patients, and displaced men who have been kidnaped by the IOF. Al-Khalifa school in Beit Lahia is now surrounded by tanks in North Gaza and people are trapped and starving and afraid, and if it wasn't bombed, the IOF would force the people to leave at gun point, then kidnap all the males or most of them. What happened to Mosab has been happening for the course of this genocide and is still happening as what I mentioning to you, but why didn't bring this on before, why don't you interview journalist from Al-Jazeera who are targeting for reporting on the massacres that barely or never make it on western media.

I hear people say this has been going on for decades. Hamas didn't exist until Israel invaded and occupied Gaza for 20 years. Hezbollah didn't exist until Israel invaded and occupied southern Lebanon. Israel created these resistance groups as an opposition to the occupation and apartheid. Palestinians have not known peace since Britain gave that peace of land to Israel. Israel controls every aspect of the Palestinians. People are burned jn a refugee camp die 70 years later in a refugee camp. I hope one day they see peace and the return of all the land Israel has stolen. Israel is nothing less than terrorist in the ME. They attack and invade Arab states. Netanyahu funded and supported Hamas for 15 years.
I believe Fresh Air interviewed him this past week or so. Check out the podcast. I heard him speak at UA about 4 years ago. He’s an interesting guy who has done so much for his community at such a young age. He created a library of English language books in Palestine and had programs for adults and kids to learn English, which gave them a leg up on finding jobs. I was so glad to hear the IOF released him (possibly due to US pressure) and he was able to escape. Praying for his sister in North Gaza as it sounds horrendous there at the moment.

The tragedy of the Palestinians is so much greater than most people realize. Here is a man talking about HIS country, when describing a country in which he wasn't born, and never lived, but he still calls it HIS country. As the grandson of Polish refugees I would never say Poland is MY country, it isn't. It was my grandparent's country, but they were expelled and had to move on with their lives - same as every other refugee on the planet, except the Palestinians who are treated differently than any other refugee. Even if we accept the false narrative that Israel stole the land and forcefully kicked out the native population, so what? Even if we accept this false narrative, which I don't, how is it any different than other countries where the same or much worse happened but ONLY in Israel do the refugees still claim it is theirs and essentially want to hit the undo button to go back to a time before Israel existed. Except before Israel existed they were subjects of the British Mandate for Palestine, which was created for the purpose of establishing Israel. And before that they lived under the Ottoman Empire. And we can go on and on, but never in history have the Palestinians had an independent state. So he's referring to a country that never existed as if it is, and claiming a country from which his grandparents were expelled is HIS country that never existence. Not only is he a victim of war, death, unfathomable pain and grief, but also a narrative that he is somehow unique and special in a way no other people on the planet are, and has rights no other people on the planet do. This is the tragedy of the Palestinians, they've never come to terms with the fact that they lost, and the world keeps validating their delusion. This isn't to say that they shouldn't have a country of their own, but the notion that they ever did is simply false. Furthermore the idea that Israel is occupying the land is not based in international law - look up uti posidetis juris. For some reason this principle of international law has been uniquely ignored when it comes to Israel. In the recent advisory opinion by the ICJ where they asserted Israel is an occupier in contradiction to facts and international law, the VP of the court offered a brilliant dissent where she mentions all these issues, and even the fact that uti posidetis juris has been ignored for reasons nobody can explain. If we're ever going to solve the conflict, we have to properly understand it and accept reality. And as long as the Palestinians think they can get rid of Israel and replace it, as he clearly does (why else would he wear a pin of the entirety of the land, not to mention what he said about 1948) there will be no peaceful solution because there is NOTHING Israel can offer that will suffice since what they want is no more Israel.
