Correct me if i'm wrong but I believe the video is already somewhat outdated. I couldn't find similar documentation and had to work much more heavily with Wagmi !
This video was recorded at a time when web3modal re-exported all of wagmi from inside it. At this point, they have separated concerns and you have to use wagmi separately. At the end of the day, its similar code but imports have changed.
How would I upgrade to my Wordpress plug-in the new version of wallet connect brother ? I have a plug-in that a dapp and I wanted to do it in front end how can I do that video or some info ?
@@harutnorikyan1217 I personally use Rainbow on mobile not MetaMask so I'm not sure - but WalletConnect works just fine with Rainbow so it's possible maybe it's a MetaMask issue?
Part of the deal is you get to use the prebuilt UI. There are some customizations, but it's not 100% customizable. Mainly some colors and branding stuff can be changed. You can find all the theming options here - docs.walletconnect.com/2.0/web3modal/configuration#theming-options
Still doesn't seem stable, you have to reconnect if you change network, doesn't always display the account address and can't use the useBalance or useToken for getting the ERC20 token balance ... I'm using react v16
Hi, yes, with version 4 live, this video, using version 2 released 2 years back should be outdated. Make sure you keep your eye out for the updated version soon! You can always follow the documentation on the official site to get started.
""@web3modal/ethereum"" does not have any exported members named "chains". Did you mean to use "Chain"? Module '"@web3modal/ethereum"' does not have any 'providers' members exported. i have these errors
Hey - it looks like the package got updated. Refer to this document here for initial setup using React - docs.walletconnect.com/2.0/web3modal/react/installation We'll do a new video on it shortly.
@@yanrussell2015 can confirm it sucks - the v3 works in dev but not prod environment on vercel nowadays and zero documentation on this matter - so web3modal is simply useless to deliver a product :)
