I just put on the new DVO Onyx SL fork on my Yeti SB165. I was expecting the fork to be stiffer (which it was) but I wasnt expecting it to have so much more midstroke support which was a great surprise. I rode it for the first time the day before after the dig day and even going down a trail like 5 Oaks and Lynx I was able to tell how much more stable and stiff the fork felt. I wanted to shuttle this trail and make some micro adjustments between laps. I've owned so many DVO forks; the Emerald, Diamond, Onyx SC on 4 bikes and the Onyx DC on 2 bikes. The only fork that I havent owned was the Saphire. There are so many things that I love about DVO; the OTT adjustment, best customer service, easy maintenance and most of all the butter smooth initial stroke of the suspension. The new 38 still has everything that I love but with the bonus of being more stiff and having more mid stroke support. I do miss the OTT adjustment on my fork but I was told if I add in another token or 2 I should be able to get the fork to feel butter smooth the way Im used to. I will add tokens and continue to adjust the fork and continue to get the fork dialed but after the first 2 rides I am already stoked on the new Onyx 38.

Area 51 is no joke. Hope your friends are getting better. That was a crazy rock drop at the top. I can only imagine that without the GoPro effect. Glad you guys made it out ok.

Yeah what makes the rock drop sketchy in the landing it's super steep with tons of nasty ruts

I plan on making it out to at least a few of your trail work events soon. Definitely won't ride any of the stuff you guys do but I will definitely make myself using cleaning and fixing stuff.

You could ask some of the LoweLife and Mt Wilson trail crews if they have folks who want to help or have any tips if you haven't already.

yeti bikes are awesome. i rented a sb140 in arizona once and it was like the perfect trailbike. sb165 looks better for downhill/enduro

Man your videos really make me wanna travel to cali. What’s a good destination from your videos that offers rentals and would be convenient for solo travel

I'm personally biased with Orange County. So many trails everywhere from beginner to double black all within 1 hr drive. Lots of dope trails in LA as well but it's a dump so I would stay in OC and drive to LA

What do you weigh? I notice my Dvo can get a little divey if I run suggested pressures

I'm 155 with all my gear, if your fork dives just add more air and soften the OTT. But make sure you take out all the air soften the OTT then put air back jn

Hey buddy, could you give us short overview of your Helmet? I've seen on Instagram that you got Bell one, and I'm considering to get it, as it's not cheap would really like to know an opinion from you.

The Bell Spherical 10 is the best helmet I've ever had and I've owned the TLD D3 and D4. It's more comfortable, offers more protection and actually breaths better
