Sure. I don't have any accessories for the Weber GA except the GrillGrates brand grates ( not on this video) and a charcoal basket. If you really want to get the most out of this grill you can buy a rotisserie or a riser and deflector plates with a griddle plate. I will get those soon and make a video on it. Also I will make a video on the Kamado joe Jr to show how to get started and hot to adjust the vents to reach desired temps
In this case no smoke taste ( the lump I used burns very clean) but usually Kamado joe Jr gives a bit more smoke flavor to the meat you cooking on it. It's also very good for low and slow cooking with the deflector plate. I did a 7lbs pork butt on it for 7 hours and came out amazing and still had charcoal left for another cook. Both are great grills but out of the box Kamado JR is a better package if you don't care about the price. With the right accessories Weber GA can be as good or better
@@romanianredneckbbq Does it means that if you cook fast with any charcoal (lump or briquets) Weber and Kamado will not give the smoke flavor, but if you cook slow Kamado Junior gives the smoke and Weber will not?
All depends on the charcoal you are using. They both can give you smoke flavor to the food you cooking, either fast or slow cooking. But Kamado joe tends to be a bit more smokey since it has the gasket and it's better insulated. The lump I used burns very clean and has almost no smoke flavor to it. I did hot and fast on the Weber and got nice smoky flavors, check my video with the ribeye roast.
