I used to have tropical milkweed in north Florida and it always died back on its own for as long as I had them. It was the favorite for not only the butterfly but all the aphids and Beatles that the plant couldn’t keep up and I gave up. We have tried every variety of milkweed. I still have one white aquatic, pink swamp and one butterfly weed variety that continue to do extremely poorly. I planted many and only one of each remain. The only milkweed I have had any success is the swan.

Hi, I'm working at a permaculture farm which includes visits with educational programs in the canary islands. I would like some assesoring to create a butterfly garden with native species to protect them and also help them reproduce since they are endangered species. Is there a way I can contact someone interested in working with me for this purpose? Thanks in advance. I loved the webinar!

Thank you! I’m in Alachua county. I have actually planted most of the host plants you mentioned but still learned a lot.
