Cyclic Voltammetry of Biofilms Webinar was presented live on July 9th, 2020 hosted by Gamry Instruments and presented by Dr. Jerome Babauta . Electrochemically Active Biofilms and Cyclic Voltammetry
I am making a setup of a single chamber membrane less Microfluidic fuel cell, where I want to measure the efficacy of different anodes (working electrode) on developing biofilm keeping the cathode (carbon cloth as counter electrode) the same with the help of cyclic voltammetry. 1. My question is: Do I need to set three electrodes setup for performing CV? 2. If yes, can I insert the reference electrode in the electrolyte? 3. What if my electrode configuration is interdigitated, where I don't have space for inserting a reference electrode, so shall I go for the two-electrode system? 4. lastly Is it possible to carbon cloth as a counter electrode, as in most the case Pt mesh is considered as a counter electrode
