"People helping people" There was callback later, during the dinner scene, to this line. It was during the "climax" of the scene. Makes more sense now.
That scene had me crying laughing the first 10 times I saw that. The way she was rubbing his crotch and the clanking of the dishes and glasses killed me.
When I first saw this, I was actually curious if they ever had a contingency plan set if they ever ran into someone from a wedding they've previously attended in the past. (Given how many weddings they went to in the beginning montage, and Owen Wilson mentioning the Cheng wedding 3 years prior, their total count of weddings has to be at least over a thousand 🤣😳)
Loved the movie when it came out. As I get older, I start to find them to be big obnoxious losers. I guess that was the point they tried to make with Will Ferrell's character but just went over my head. No lesson learned at the time.
While the goal of it is obviously sleazy, they are masters at lifting people's spirits and being the life of the party. Let's be real half of these weddings wouldn't have been half as fun for most of the guests if they weren't there. It's like how random people can be hired to engage people in conversation at large gatherings, except instead of getting paid in money, they get paid in sex... well that and it's also involuntary for the party lol
Thank god they deleted this one. Instead of insanity they could have just pretended he was a twin brother or something but I'm very glad this was removed entirely.
