Hi Brad, yes you are correct the hot glue gun isn't as great as it should. I've learnt a lot about glues of late - & must say that through many disasters lots has been discovered. The glue I reach for these days is F2 ADOS its great. Takes a bit longer and yes you have to wait until it's tacky but when sticking anything to metal its perfect. Additionally you need to sand the area first. Another really great glue is E6000 however it's seriously toxic so just think SAFETY-mask, gloves, glasses etc. Another really good sticker/glue is liquid NO-NAILS. I hope this helps. @@AstarsPlace thanks so much for getting back to me. The e6000 takes to long to dry as well. I'll try out the f2 ADOS , I've got a lot of horseshoes to do so time is important and if I manage it correctly drying time should not be an issue , I hope
@@bradcarter8482 hello again Brad, after much frustration I had to call on the assistance of my Enginner husband. I'm not into fiddling around, I just want to get on with my projects. He insisted I spend the time and sand the surfaces of anything I want to glue. Hard to admit he was right but issues are/have been resolved. I have a few new crafts in prep at the moment and they all involve GLUE so I'll be sharing my trials & tribulations at the next round of filming. Glue to glass - what a mind-field! Many tears. Lots of frustration. A few VERY bad words but his methods really have worked. Astar

Hannah Jones I actually made some of the roses out of Fimo - they are millinery flowers like what you'd see on underwear etc You could get some from the craft shops! Good luck!
