We got married in January! We saved the top tier of our wedding cake and have it frozen. We will take it out and eat it on our first year wedding anniversary! Can’t wait for the rest of your wedding series love it!! X
I’m already married but still wanted to start the wedding journey with you. A couple of things from me: Book everything date specific first - venue, photographer, hair and make up person - all the people who need to be available on the actual date. Photographer I would say is the big one! Photographer - consider having one where there is a couple of people working as a team - then you can have someone with you and Jamie in the morning! Plus you get more pics and if something does happen to one person u still have a photographer! The other thing you need to do is book the registrar - book early so you get the time you want. You can’t get married without the registrar! And they can only do a certain number of weddings at one time. Hope that helps!! Xx

We got married on the 18th December with a huge Christmas tree in the corner. We only had 12 guests to the ceremony. Lit by candlelight and a big party in the evening! We got married in 2018 and we did a lot of things ourselves I did the centre pieces, sweet table brought the sweets from costco I did the table seating sign. Saves a lot of money. Can’t wait to see where u get married x x
Didn’t you want a church wedding anymore? I remember ages ago you said you’d love a church wedding in your local church also we got married in November, if you’re looking for a DJ we used “digital roadshow” which is located in kings Lynn which was amazing, it made the wedding so special. (They also do the LED light up letters if that’s something you were interested in?) We also hired a Photo Booth which everyone loved and made the night extra special! I wish we was friends as I have sooo much I could tell you and places to recommend as I live in the Norfolk area too! Your day will be amazing regardless… so exciting 🤍
So excited for this series!! I got married in early September, I love autumn and got married in a manor house with beautiful gardens, it was still warm and was a sunny day, but because it was the start of autumn, we had the most stunning golden sunset for photos! We booked ours with 18 months to go and we're coming up to our 5th anniversary already! As soon as the planning starts the time absolutely flies! My wedding planner/diary was an absolute godsend to keep track of everything, keep receipts, phone numbers, wedding fair info ect. My friends helped me too, we had a group chat for photos/ideas for table decor/flowers ect, I was very lucky as my best friend made our wedding cake and another friend did all our flowers/my bouquet/button holes ect, so if you have any friends who can bake/do flowers/make invites, it will save you loads more money too. Also go to lots of wedding fairs for inspiration and ideas! So looking forward to this series! Enjoy every minute, i loved planning mine so much! 🥰 x
I love this; I'm going to be living through this series! I was meant to get married December 2020, but COVID! (Christmas wedding) we then planned for December 2021. The day arrived that we were due to give notice and he backed out. We split up and ended back together and then re-arranged for December 2022! I had my hen night this time and a week later, he changed his mind again! I've had my wedding dress since 2020 and I paid for absolutely everything. I'm £4k out of pocket and still not married...
We got married at the end of covid so speaking from experience, it is most important to have a rough number of guests and budget then all the fun stuff can begin. Love the mood board and to do list.....enjoy x
Gemma 🤗 the excitement is beaming from you , really impressive video for anyone planning a weddings. My niece is geeky married in June and only last week the venue cancelled on them 😳 yep the complete hotel has closed for government let’s , this was going to be everything wedding breakfasts, ceremony, wedding lunch and evening party. Plus 2 nights guests staying.😢 By a miracle a hotel in the village next to this was also going to do the same cancelled all event then backed out because of public outcry. They reopened and my niece was able to get a ceremony, lunch and evening party booked for the same date .. not everything they planned but they are so relieved and happy they still get their day . Bless her she said after all this I’m having my cake chocolate 😂. Noah in a little suit ❤. Take care of each other xx x xx
That happened to my friend, anyone who books a hotel has the worry of the government taken the hotel over completely!!. my friend was two years in the planning of hers... so people beware.. a hotel booking can be cancelled completely in minutes!.
September is the perfect month to get married!! It's the month I got married to my best friend and we've been happy and in love for years. The only drawback is having our Anniversary in September as our kids go back to school! We had a Wedding Journal together. We wrote our thoughts and love notes to each other in the months leading up to our wedding. I love reading our journal through the years. Best of luck to my favorite family 💞

For traditions - we included hand fasting in our ceremony using beautiful ribbons, we had each of our parents drape one over to tie our hands together then we pulled the knot and it symbolises the joining of two families and you're left with a beautiful ribbon that you can store or display at home! There's also sand mixing which is where you have a jar that you'll display in your home and you each (and Noah/other family members) take turns pouring sand in and it symbolises the blending of a new family and is a lovely keepsake! We wrote cards to each other that we opened the morning of the wedding and then we bought pretty vow books on Etsy and we display them in a glass box in our liviing room now, really nice to be able to go and read through them again every so often and brings so much joy!
My Fiancé and I are currently wedding planning! We’re getting married Friday 4th July 2025 and have our venue booked, photographer and videographer and Dj and today have a meeting with a potentional florist! It is very overwhelming but also so exciting! I’m so excited to watch you on this journey💍🤍

Hiya Gemma....how exciting, you planning your wedding with the loves of your life. Just a lil tip for you....just remember the day is the joining of you two.....be careful not to get caught up in everything 'wedding' as you can at least triple your prices. A friend of mines daughter sprung it upon her that she was going to get married in 6 weeks yes you read that right 😱 & you know what they did it! 👍🏻 .....they went to a local market for flowers & got venue, bouquets, button holes etc with beautiful seasonal flowers so so much cheaper.....a friend videod, a friend was chauffeur, the venue was a barn.....& all the family on both sides pitched in to help organise & it was truly magical & took the strain off bride & groom so they didnt feel so overwhelmed! It can be done.....just dont put so much pressure on yourselves to please everyone.....do it for you two!!!! 😍. Whenever you decide to do it it will be beautiful I'm sure xxx
Such perfect timing.. I’ve been with my partner for nearly 8 years and we have a little boy together. We booked a Disney Cruise a couple of weeks ago and have since decided we are going to elope and include the cruise as part of the wedding and honeymoon. Now I’m in the process of planning what we are wearing etc… I’m so excited! Watching you plan your wedding is going to be so much fun!
There are places where you can do winter Hen party with snuggle socks and cocoa bar..also it's cool to give anniversary gifts to each other for what each year represents..1st year is paper..so maybe concert tickets or plane tickets or love letters..
eucalyptus is a sage green and it lasts a long time without drooping you could have it in your bouquet and follow through in the arrangements on the tables and venue

Her and her husband also did a review after about things they would have done differently and what they learnt etc. her wedding series also won an award - its not the same cozy vibe you have in mind but she goes through the whole process on her channel.

I look forward to watching your wedding planning. I missed out for my own wedding. My late husband and I eloped & got married 44 years ago yesterday in London. We did no planning whatsoever, other than buying rings and a dress for me, but loved to think that all the flags flying and gun salutes for the late Queen's birthday were for our wedding! Although he was in the Royal Artillery, we would never have thought about a gun salute!!! Our elder daughter wore the same dress that I wore on her wedding day 30 years later! ❤

You shouldn't vlog your wedding day, enjoy the day its your special day! If you've going to have a videographer than let them do all that, so your bridesmaids can focus on you. The day flies by and honestly you barely have time to breath and take it all in, so to worry about vlogging on top of that might take away from yours and Jamie's day together. Really excited for the series!! xxx

I'm getting married in August this year and love watching these videos! One thing I will say is don't be so strict with the date you have in mind. The venue we wanted wasn't avaliable for our chosen date so we changed our date because we fell in love with the venue.

God bless you. I have to tell you what the pictures that were on that board of your gown. Possibly your gown, the bridesmaid's gowns. All of those things are all exquisite and they are all you. I wasn't surprised with anything that you showed because after watching you for quite a long time now I think I know you and what you love. Having Noah as your ring. Bearer is absolutely wonderful. I can just see that little man walking down the aisle and probably a neutral suit with a big smile on his face. How exciting! How loving and touching. As far as your hair goes, you have the most gorgeous hair and soft curls would be exquisite. You must leave your hair down. It is so beautiful. I love all your ideas. I just want to share with you for my wedding. My grandmother was not able to attend so what I did was after the wedding. I sent my bridal bouquet to my grandmother and during the reception when we threw the bouquet I had another one a smaller one made. I don't know if you plan doing anything like that but that's just something that I did and I know my grandmother was so happy and thrilled to receive that bouquet. I'm starting my planning this year!! Coming from a former wedding coordinator, it can be really overwhelming and you're going to be tempted by so many various trends - so having a mood board is going to keep you grounded to your own ideas, tastes and themes. Physical ones are honestly such a good idea because with digital ones it's so easy to chop and change constantly. So exciting!

A big mason jar where your guests can grab a slip of paper , and write their fav memory of you, or their own words of wisdom for marriage . That you can read later , and over the years . If your stuck, I always find, covering the five senses helps . For you and your guests. Smell, taste, sound, touch, sight. You can’t go wrong with that. They are great starting points . I love it all and you were going to be an absolutely gorgeous bride with that gorgeous hair and Noah being in your wedding just puts the icing on the cake so very special and loving. 😊 You are so very organized but I understand how that makes you feel, and not so overwhelmed. I wanted to share something with you that I did at my wedding. My grandmother was quite elderly and not well and of course she couldn't attend the wedding. So what I did was I gave my wedding bouquet to her and I threw another bouquet at the reception. Just a thought. Can't wait for the next video!🥰🙏❤️
If you do go for winter. We had fake trees at our reception and used polyfill to make it look like snow. Also, we got notebooks for each other that we wrote in leading up to the wedding and the day of for the other person to read, and every anniversary we write a letter about the highlights from that year. We got married in 2020.

Gemma I have been to several Autumn weddings & they are always amazing - weather perfect for them all bright sunshine blue skies & cool. I always think gofull out on the wedding dress & wear it all day as it is an expensive purchase & you will never wear it again. The ideas displayed on your mood board look stunning - lighting & flowers really make a wedding space. Any just my thoughts but the overriding thought to remember - this is Jamie & yours wedding & it must be all that you both wish it to be - do not let others deter you from what you want.
Some quick advice to hopefully keep you from feeling so overwhelmed. If you're having a lot of guests, look for a venue that will host the ceremony as well as the reception...trying to get everyone to a new location is a hassle and venues like that usually provide catering, as well. If you haven't looked at dresses yet, I HIGHLY recommend Lazaro! They make the most incredible gowns for brides, bridesmaids and flower girls. I used to work at a bridal shop and their gowns were always my fave. Check them out. :) Oh, if you don't want to toss your real flower bouquet afterwards, make one using artificial flowers. That way whoever catches it can keep it and the flowers will never wilt or die. I had calla lilies in my wedding, so I made a faux bouquet and it was perfect.

Hi Gemma, I have made cat costumes for all types of breeds of cats including sphynx cats, I have also made dog clothes for TV ads and celebrity dog parties; but with cats if you do use your 2 babies for the wedding and wish to dress them up, please get them used to the clothes first, as often they will just appear to have lost all use of their legs when they first wear clothes and you don't want that on your wedding day :( lol. Also when we had been married for 25 years we renewed our vows in Lapland, in a chapel in the forest, maybe an idea for the future and would be great for Noah when he is older. xx
