I listened to this on Spotify and had to come over to comment. The sister getting married one month after the other... My uncle did this to my auntie (but in reverse and abroad) and it put so much financial stress on the rest of the family that she moved her wedding out another month. I don't think the sister is unreasonable to be upset about this, it was her time!

This ⬆️. You said everything I was going to say. And if many of their family members couldn’t make it to the the sister wedding a month later or if their gifts where significantly less elaborate because of the weddings being so close the younger sister would be completely pissed. She knew what she was doing was wrong otherwise she would have just been up front with her sister. There is nothing wrong with two sisters have a wedding in the same year but she could have spaced it out at least 3 months later so people could properly prepare.

I thought the same thing! It's less about the 'spotlight' for me, and more about the cost and effort for everyone involved. I'd hate to be married a month after my sister because I'd feel like I wouldn't have her help or attention the way I would 6mth or a year later.. let alone the financial side!

I mean this in the kindest way, I think the sister needs to see the perspective from the other side. Summer is a great time to get married and I can completely understand the sister not wanting to wait another year to get married. Either she got married the month after or before her sisters wedding which wouldn't go down well! Ultimately its her sister and she should be happy for her whatever date she picked as long as its not the same day! It's really not gonna matter in the long run as they'll end up picking very different weddings intentionally I just feel a bit sorry for the parents having 2 weddings in 1 year! Anyway love the podcast ladies! Keep up the amazing work, and whatever your face shape you are both beautiful just the way you are 💜
