Just wanted to say respect from east coast of Florida. I love watching these videos and living vicariously through you. Over the years watching you push your limits and boundaries has inspired me to push my mine (as much as you can surfing Florida lol) I’m sure I speak for a lot of viewers. You’ve helped me get through injuries and stay positive. Thank you for all you do, I hope you score this winter!
The music is just one feature that sets Nathan's vids apart from others. REDEMPTION SESSION AT PUERTO ESCONDIDO DAY TWO being another case in point - genius🧠
Hope you and your wife are enjoying Scotland again. You inspired me to start surfing again so I started ealier this summer here in bonny Scotland (after twenty years out the water). I grew up in Cape Town so I've always missed it but you along with JOB, Koa and Ben Gravy have inspired me to get back at it. Got my son into it as well and we're loving it. Keep up the great work and thanks for the inspiration. If you ever come down St. Andrews way hit me up and I'll sort you guys out. All the best.
Hey Nathan. Feel your pain on the luggage front. Had my bags and surf gear go missing three times on a recent multi country surf trip. Best advice i could give you is get yourself some GPS luggage trackers.. that way you can ring the airlines and tell them exactly where your "missing" luggage is. Worked great on my last trip as i had my luggage go missing again! With the GPS unit it was sorted overnight! Ps that stretch of coast in scotland is epic. So many slabs!
and the music curator, always coming up with different/fun/interesting music...great job week after week, great combo & balance of surfing/life/music - keep it coming guys!
It looks slightly less scary when the sun is shining.... and I have sea shanty's stuck iny head for the rest of the day! Thanks for another excellent video. Hopefully, you get your lost quiver and luggage soon.
Where you find this music is beyond me but your music for the European slab tour has been amazing. Also going to say it again, you are onto something again. This is the next frontier of the sport.
Nate, you also should take a minute or two in each of these slab videos to describe why the next slab is such a challenge and the dangers. I don't think people other than surfers understand what you are doing is where the sport is progressing to and why. I think its just like any other of the extreme sports. The more precarious the situation is the more eyeballs go to it. Think about it! You doing this is like Danny Way going and finding a natural ramp somewhere in the world and sending it after just looking at it a few times. What you are doing is wild and you are the best slab surfer in the world.
First off, I love your channel but just a loving reminder that you're SURFING FOR A LIVING while we got regular jobs and get in the ocean when we can.... please less complaining about inconvenience with flights and boards and booats, brah you got it made... not to mention your lovely wife has the patience to stand in land and film you❤keep on charging and making great clips🤙
You watch first to see either where a deep spot is with no breaking waves so you can jump of a ledge or watch the white water to see how it surges in and out off a ledge and then wait for a gap between sets and jump in as a surge is going out.
@@krusher74 thanks! I'm also wondering how he powers threw those really rough waters even without the ridge and rocks just paddling out threw that water is insane
what you two are doing is the coolest thing surfing has in this modern day...although i would suggest some quick cuts during monotonous surfing footage to travel, lifestyle, and images of mahina doing her thing in support of these missions. if you two only had a marketing and business consultant who gave a shit about YOUR possibilities, you could get wealthy as you travel and risk your life, while helping the industry return to something more reasonable than greedy corporations raping every aspect of it.
Could you let us in on that songs please 🙏 😂 love the edits, thank goodness for Mahina too ❤ have y’all thought about getting the apple air tags for your bags? I have heard people really like throwing them in so they can at least track their own bags when the airports say they don’t know.
Mad respect on the effort you put in on these scottish sessions Nate. Always seem to have a go pro in your mouth to cut into the land shots, epic slab mish. Im from the SE coast of New Zealand, pretty simalar coastline, we just get bigger swell :)
I love your videos Nathan and watch them all with wonder. Can you or someone clue me in as to why you don’t wear a helmet? Considering the unfamiliar places you go and how extreme the ocean is…a quick bonk to the dome and you’re a goner. It could give you vital seconds you’d need to recover and such right? I’m not judging I just wear a helmet on a snowboard, MB, dirtbike and I can breath if I hit my head.
Whoa! Nice vid. You got it on this one. Funny when easy isn't hard and making something hard look easy cross paths... must be an island thing? cheers -xrhino-
Oh and by the way thank you for this nice video I said before I'll say it again and keep telling everybody you're doing the right thing setting a good example don't stop keep charging Full Speed Ahead surfing fishing is the way
Dude you employ some of the sickest gorilla tactics to get these gems. Are your fin tips all nicked up? Next you'll be taking off your fins to surf slightly shallower water. You pulled some sick take offs. Hats off to you sir.
What size swell was the Nathan? Looks like it gets jacked up at that rock. Man those guys must be so stoked to surf with you. Epic wave with no crowd. Thank you from My armchair!
