Hunter Doohan clarified that his character did in fact love her. Their ship can't possibly end this way 🥲 I hope in S2 they find their way back to each other and I'm excited to see how he will be now that he no longer has a master controlling him.

If these two don't find their way back to each other in Season 2 or further than a lot of fans, including myself will riot. It's a deliciously fitting yet dysfunctional relationship but perhaps they can help each other through their darkness.

My fav scene is when Enid was like “He’s our Uber driver…” Tyler was like “Uber driver ? I thought we were going on a date “ 😂😂 always makes me laugh

I shipped these two and really liked them together. They were really cute. It sucks that he turned out to be the monster. I didn't see it coming. There's no way that his feelings for Wednesday weren't genuine. I mean the whole time they were on their date, he couldn't stop looking at her. But he was pretending the whole time. 😥 Edit: My opinion has changed. I ship Tyler and Wednesday again. I think his feeling for her were real. 🤩

Tyler did love Wednesday (trying to help Wednesday escape Jericho,actually showing up at the rave’N and his confession). But he’s very insecure since he knew he is a Hyde. He constantly ask his dad about mom and if he ever loved her. And with Ms. Thornhill/Laurel’s manipulation,he doesn’t think anyone would love a monster. Then he met Wednesday, an outcast like him. Everything that happened before ep.8 makes him think that maybe Wednesday will accept his Hyde side. But Wednesday is determined to find the truth. So she tortured him (the tasers and stuff) to try to make him transform. JUST LIKE LAUREL. That’s when Tyler realised nobody can accept him. No one cares about how nice he can be as a human because he’s a serial killing monster (not by choice, a Hyde is forced to listen to it’s master) So he picked the only role he can choose. The villain. He pushed himself to say all those things in the police station to remind himself that he is the bad guy. ‘I’ve done a lot of bad things. But I swear I’m not a bad person.’ -quoted from ep.4

I have some things to unpack hE LOOKED HER IN THE EYES AND SAID "I did a terrible thing, but I swear I'm not a terrible person." NO ONE CAN TELL ME THAT WASN'T HIM TRYING TO GIVE HER A SIGNNNNNNNN. SOMETHING TO REMEMBER also that freaking picnic date inside the crypt. He was genuinely laughing and smiling at her reaction NO ONE WILL CONVINCE ME THAT WAS FAKE. Remember when they kissed? Who am I kidding, of course you do. When they break apart, you can see him processing things. Hesitating. - She really loves me, how do I feel? I don't want to hurt her. Gosh, she's pretty - and then he kisses her again. THAT was not him acting as henchmen; THAT was HIM - Tyler. He had decided they were unstoppable - for just that moment, he knew he loved her and would do anything for her. ALSO (omg I've been waiting for this one), when they kissed and she like had her vision thing, he looked SO genuinely worried. I mean he was hyperventilating, he looked so concerned for her well-being. TEAM TYLER

I’d like to think that when he said “I’m tougher than you think” he was sort of telling her what he is but also that he really liked her..

See I wanna say my perspectives: Remember when tyler said in the beginning, that "Atleast one of us will get to leave this town" , this just says that he was regretful about his actions but he was like a bot being controlled, it was not in his hands, and then he said in the Rave'n that "I did many terrible thing but I am not really a terrible person" this too expresses his genuineness, and "I am tougher than you think" , all along the way he was giving SIGNS , and actually he was under control! I really don't know but i would be happy if #Wyler is genuine in S2.

6:15 I think this is the part that Wednesday started to catch feelings for Tyler. When he sits next to her, she seems rather... uneasy. Because she never had romantic feelings for anyone before, so she doesn't recognize why she feels like this when Tyler is close to her.

I refused to believe her vision was true about Tyler, and when it came to the torture scene I kept yelling at the screen for Wednesday to stop !!! I believed him when he said he was innocent !!! Then, when he said “what does it feel like? To lose” that’s when my heart really shattered 😭. Watching this brings all the feelings back 🥲 wednesday + tyler 4ever ❤

I feel the mixed signals scene was genuine. Why was he getting upset with Wednesday for choosing Xavier as her date? When he did Laurel's bidding to keep Wednesday busy, he was charming and sweet like the date in the crypt.

Wednesday will probably be more interested in him now that she knows he's the Hyde.

I think they are still a good couple. Even after revealing himself and capturing her, they still flirted the entire time in their own weird threatening sociopathic way. I think Tyler genuinely liked Wednesday and always accepted her for who she is. He never got mad at her for being dismissive, sadistic, selfish or not returning his affections outwardly, he just went with it unlike Xavier. However, him being the hyde and his master hating her got between them. Tyler actually saved her life so any times and fought his urge to kill her in his hyde state on multiple occasions, plus killing any threats to her including Rowen and the homeless guy who threatened her in the old meeting house ruin. He only attacked her when he was ordered to but had several opportunities to do it. He got more and more unstable the more he turned into the hyde and was manipulated by Laurel, which is why it turned into a competitive winner/loser conversation at the police station. She was pissed she was tricked be because of her competitive nature vs the fact she hurt Xavier. I don’t think Wednesday was ever freaked out by him saying his victims’ fear was delicious because freaking people out is something she takes pleasure in herself, plus she doesn’t really mind potentially killing people if it serves her purpose like with the swimmers and the piranhas. She was really more fascinated by the hyde than scared of it and wanted to catch it to figure out the puzzle vs justice, and only really became mad after it hurt Eugene. She is protective over people she tolerates like her brother and friends and was getting even. Xavier is a good guy with a moral compass. He got mad when Wednesday was with Tyler and couldn’t understand that she honestly didn’t care about his mean prank. Wednesday was impressed by Tyler’s prank on Xavier vs judgmental because it was mean, and he was impressed by her piranha stunt vs being horrified. They are much more on the same creepy, sadistic wavelength than her and Xavier. Tyler liked her the way she was and never judged her for not caring as much. Xavier will be the one to change her to be a bit more moral, nice, and socially acceptable, but in her original state she was much more like Tyler. Now that Laurel is out of the way and no longer controlling him, maybe there is hope for them?

I believe he truly loved her, he was just being controlled by Laurel,just because he was being controlled didn’t mean he wanted to do what he was being manipulated into doing.

I really Hope This Happens In season 2 and more I say that in season 2 and more seasons 1: Wednesday Becomes His Master and prevents him from doing evil/bad ever again as a Hyde and they end up together. 2: Wednesday Sets him free as a Hyde and Tyler Controls himself Not to kill for evil or bad ever again. So he can be with Wednesday. #Tydnesday #Wyler

Everything regarding Tyler's feelings or motives are still up for interpretation. They're both obviously hurt by his betrayal but are we really overlooking the Hyde as a creature?? I believe Tyler couldn't really control the Hyde as he never was acknowledged even by his father that he was an outcast too, be around his kind to help him understand himself better, or Laurel manipulated him enough to make him believe he was made to be evil or some sh*t. His mother most of all is still mystery. So idk what role Tyler will play in season 2 but CLEARLY the writers implied that he escaped. He'll either get hunted or something but all I want is for him and Wednesday to make up please🥲💔

Spoiler rant: So many unanswered questions. My top ones I’d like to be answered in S2: 1. Why did Xavier have so many visions about Tyler as Hyde? Wednesday even observed it’s like they had a supernatural connection. (How inconvenient Xavier never had a dream about specifically Tyler) 2. Can Tyler control his choices in Hyde mode? And can he turn into Hyde when he wants to? He seemed to make the choice to protect Wednesday from being killed by Rowan and not to kill her after she saw him multiple times as Hyde. Or was Laurel controlling him at most points? I loved the writing and pace of this season so much! I’m so excited for the future seasons!

I wonder did Tyler know that Wednesday is a part of Laurel's revenge in episode 1... Hunter said that Tyler did not know that Wednesday is a key when they first met, but I'd go further and say that he had no idea about Goody/Crackstone/Addams thing in entire first episode. Because he really wanted to help her escape the town and he would do it, if Rowan did not ruin everything. It's the exact opposite of Laurel's wish and whole plan, if he knew the truth about Wednesday back then, he wouldn't help her at all. Instead he would try his best to stop her and warn his master, but in the end they almost succeeded in escaping. So I think he did not know anything about the red moon and Crackstone's resurrection in the beginning. *Episode 2.* *it's when whole manipulations had begun.*
