Wednesday Addams is a brilliant, morbid, and emotionally reserved girl who is fascinated by the macabre and the paranormal. She has a close bond with her family, especially her father Gomez and her brother Pugsley. She also has a psychic ability that she tries to master, while solving mysteries and thwarting a killing spree at her boarding school.
I chose to paint her in a dark and Gothic style, using a limited color palette and contrasting shadows and highlights. I wanted to capture her mysterious and stoic personality as brought to life by the wonderful Jenna Ortega. I used various brushes and tools in Procreate to create different textures and effects, such as the lace on her dress.
