A production update for Wednesday season 2 has reportedly revealed when new episodes will begin filming. The show, which is a modernized take on the characters from the multimedia franchise The Addams Family, stars Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams. After premiering on Netflix in November 2022, the show became a smash hit, earning the most viewing hours in a single week for any single Netflix show with 341 million, beating the previous record set by Stranger Things season 4, part 1. In the wake of its success, the show was renewed for season 2 the following January.
A new listing on the Film & Television Industry Alliance online Production List seems to offer an update on the upcoming Wednesday season 2. The new episodes are reportedly set to begin shooting in London on April 30. It remains to be seen if this production start date is officially confirmed by Netflix or anyone associated with the show.
