Except this is factually incorrect. The Addams Family was a single-panel cartoon of over 150 cartoons that began running in The New Yorker in 1938. It was 26 years later that the television show you are speaking of was produced by Orion.
My own theory is that, when Frankenstein was being made, the first attempt failed because the hand wasn't moving, so they replaced it. The hand that wouldn't move soon came alive and ran off
In a flashback episode on how Gomez and Morticia met, it is revealed that Thing has been with the Addams family since Gomez himself was a child, suggesting Thing is the son of an earlier generation of hand-servants
wednesday doesnโt know, morticia doesnโt know, no one knows where Thing came from. as wednesday said, itโs one of the undiscovered addams family mysteries
Fun fact: a show called "Ash VS the evil Dead" came out before "Wednesday" the show in side of "Ash VS the Evil Dead" his hand came back after growing into a clone of Ash then got killed for good.
Quote from google "Thing was the creation of Charles Addams, who drew the Addams Family cartoons in The New Yorker magazine, beginning in the 1930s." He first appeared in Addams's 1954 book Homebodies.
Well seeing how the continuity between the movies and the show are really fucked up. I Guess Wednesday could take place in an alternate timeline. As each movie Basically retcons each other in a way.
Actually... Thing originally was an entire entity that just sat in the background and stared at them the entire time not talking but since this was in the 1960s ... The censors felt that it was too scary for a family show during day time syndicate, so thing became a hand only.... He was done by an illusionist named Victor Dorobantu..... Fun fact, in the original show, the hand was sometimes switched from the left to the right one from time to time
Thing was the creation of Charles Addams, who drew the Addams Family cartoons in The New Yorker magazine, beginning in the 1930's. He first appeared in Addams's 1954 book Homebodies.
Yes in he original show, Thing was portrayed by Tim Cassidy, who also played Lurch. And youโre right, he would sometimes use his left hand to see if anyone would notice lol.
Omg thatโs so cool I loved adams family as a kid and now watching the old evil dead cuz it doesnt scare me anymore. Thatโs so cool has the same vibe now that I think of it.
Thing was born a hand and comes from a family of hand servants. Two female hands appear in the episode "Morticia meets royalty". Esmeralda and Lady fingers. Both things parents are shown in a painting as hands in the episode "thing goes missing" .
I thought the same on wtf waffle was all this. Og addams family had given this bit. It's literally just kids hopping on Wednesday trend train. Thank you.
Wasnโt it from their ancestors ๐? I remember someone from the family saying โheโs literally family to youโ when Wednesday was telling it what to do. ๐๐
@@XxToPgamE maybe because of some sort of curse or was brought back to life actually maybe The Addams family tried to bring it back to life but the only thing left of his body was the hand
It's actually explained in the early black and white series where Thing comes from. They made small notes of it, as well, in the later movies we grew up with.
Great video, have always known thereโs more to life than meets the eye, I feel like in this life i am supposed to be doing more than i am doing for the people i love. been seeking for an eye opening enlightenment, a way to be more influential, powerful and protected\
oh well you can achieve that by being a part of the illuminatus brotherhood, i know it sounds like a mystery but there are ways you can actually get in contact with them
@@bartholetbay412 Well it is not and you can't actually expect it to be open to everyone, but if you want to know more you can look up ANTHONY MARK SZYMON online you will find something interesting.
He said in the show and even in Adam's Family they never said where he came from. Except they did. It's even common knowledge for fans that he is a family member. This has made me question all the conspiracies from this channel that I'm not familiar with lol
I watch a lot of their shorts some of them are some not itโs 50/50 I think we know what is fiction itโs basically just mind openers helps people think outside of what we were forced to believe some I think are possible some not
