I love that quote! Watching you with Huxley makes me want to take notes for future me and my young boys. My MIL was a chaperone at my husband’s 8th grade dance and was comforting a girl crying only to find out she was crying because my husband was the cause! Huxley is so mature and girls will figure out that he’s the type they really want.

I'm shocked that anyone would cancel on Huxley. There definitely will be single ppl there however if he's not feeling it there will definitely be a bunch of more dances. I would try to make it a fun night with him.
My best friend and I broke up with our boyfriends in 9th grade right before the dance. We showed up and realized they both found new girlfriends and we cried 😢😂. Damn thinking about our hurts when we were young. Give him hugs

Went to several dances in junior high (always with friends no dates) and yes, ALWAYS girls crying in the bathroom. Every time. Hux, you’re a great kid and any gal would be lucky to be your date. Hang in there, kiddo.
Hi. I just watched about the first half of this, about the young lady's dance date cancellation--doesn't sound like it was done in a very nice way, particularly if she said she's still going. But here's my thought--there are so many girls sitting at home *wishing* that someone would ask them to the dance. Make someone's life happier and ask someone else. Maybe someone who's smart or funny or whatever, but not the prettiest or most popular--you know. And then go and look great and have a good time. Sending love--ana/nyc.
