You need to get Mr. Danny an LED head lamp to keep in his barn for when he doesn't have enough light to see. I love my head lamp so much, I got a couple more.

Onite USB powered LED light bulbs are amazing too. You can run them with a small power bank or solar power station. With an extension cable you can power them during the day in a dark shed, barn, room, or camper from a portable folding solar panel with charging ports.

Great video. I grew up learning how to drive a tractor on a cub. We had all the attachments you are using but we never used them. We used the tractor for mowing, plowing and general tasks such as moving dirt on trailers, hay bale accumulating and pulling trees for firewood. My dad and I rebuilt the engine back in the late 70s or early 80s. Fond memories. I also learned how to back up trailers with that tractor. That learning process has served me well. I remember just about flipping it over backwards when pulling a log. Scary. Dad sold it in the late 90s and he has since passed away. Very emotional watching you work on your Cub.

Danny can make mounting those shares much faster and with less hassles. First measure the diagonal point to point length on the share stem. Get a PVC pipe or pipe coupling of the same ID size. Measure from top of the share to the point on the stem you want the share set at. Cut the pipe or coupling to be that length and slide it onto the stem. If you use a PVC coupling, you can drill and tap it and screw a bolt into it to act as a set screw so the pipe won't slide off when dismounted. After installing the pipe, all you do is slide the share on and butt the pipe to the bottom of the mount and tighten it down. Hassle free installation. You can make this from scrap wood as well, but the PVC pipe will last much longer.

Very nice! I spotted a Farmall Cub in the town I live in the other day and I stopped to see if the guy would sale it...said he use to use it and had planes to get it going again. It was very straight and clean, said he thought he had left the ignition on and possible burnt the coil out on it, it was still the 6 volt system. The Gentleman had the cultivator system on it and some other implements for it...I told him if he ever decided to sale I would be interested in it but doubt if I will ever hear from him. God Bless!

I do love the sound of a tractor! But when I was a little girl I was terrified of them - when granddaddy would come down his driveway on his old John Deere at lunchtime and even though I was in the house I would go hide! He was a cotton farmer in the 50s and 60s and even owned a cotton gin and warehouse! Fun memories! Your garden is a beauty and your tractor sounds wonderful!!

I just planted two types of green bush beans and finished the end of the row with yellow wax beans. I planted the beans between where I had just planted Clemson Spineless okra. I guess it will work. I like to experiment. Gonna try Red Burgundy and Jambalaya too this year. Rain moved into central Louisiana so I`ve had to wait to plant those. In the 1960s/70s we had a tractor very similar to that one.

All these years having a garden, and I did something that I should’ve thought before I did this! We were getting a storm and 29 degree weather and I didn’t have any covers to put over my raised beds yet. So I went to Orschelns and picked up straw and covered four of my beds with straw. This kept the frost from getting my plants. A few weeks later I started getting hundreds and hundreds of weeds coming up in my beds only the four beds that I put the straw in. After four days of pulling these hundreds of little weeds that kept coming up (I then realized the straw was not organic also!) today I pulled all four beds removed all the soil and added new soil. I guess I can chalk this up to never too old to learn or make mistakes. I did ask though before I purchased straw if there could be seeds and they told me no but it’s still my fault I should have thought there could be and thought about it not being organic. I just panicked I guess is all I can say.

Great information thank you for doing it , I am in east Tx and have similar soil here. Maybe a bit more sandy , I have my eye on a cub tractor , have never owned one or used one, how long can you use it before their too large to cultivate without damaging the plants , I assume the larger they get the wider you set the sweep, also can you use the cub for making hills like potato’s and watermelon etc? If so can you weed it out like that ?? Any info is appreciated

We had our last frost last night 🤞 Fingers crossed for luck. But I'm out here now, been out since around 7 am taking a break now. I got a lot done so far. I won't bore ya with the little details, but I've been waiting for this since our first frost back in November when it took all our Thanksgiving collard greens lol. I've had my raised beds soil ready in early March and was gonna put up some low tunnels but I decided to wait a couple more weeks because I noticed that our long-term forecast is showing that the last frost is a month earlier than normal. I always enjoy watching Danny working the garden or farm with the tractor. What y'all have is a farm compared to my small garden.
