7:12 It's called a BULL HOOK. I worked at the world's largest Hackney Pony breeder, and broke a LOT of ponies just like this guy!! The ones that makes you work for it, are almost always suuuuuuuper cool in the end!!! Can't wait to continue watching to see what you guys do with these beautiful horses!!! Looks like everything is gonna go wonderful so far!!! So glad your video of picking up the horses was suggested to me!!! 😁😁🐎

It is good to see people like your selves, going out of your way in training them. Being understanding to their needs, and being gentle to the horses. All animals have feeling just as humans do. I hope with your method of training, and help to the horse that you give, catches on and more people get the understanding that all animals feeling do matter. Even the Almighty himself, who created everything from the beggining from his Holy Book, you must care for the animals in your care.

I’m so happy that you are giving Neblina time to gain weight- she definitely looks uncomfortable! I wouldn’t be surprised if she also had some ulcers from stress and poor nutrition- do you feed any ulcer supplements? Can’t hurt ( other than the wallet, like most horse supplements) Greña is really sweet looking - great curious expression- And for Isidro, he has two really good looking horses to work with- the bay ( I forgot the name, sorry) definitely was starting as a big challenge, but he got matched with a great trainer, so I’m confident he will improve quickly ( though I’m not a big fan of neck roping, I must say the horse was in danger of really hurting himself, and needed a bit of tough love) Hurricane (Ericano?) is gorgeous, and has a curiosity that will be a big asset to training- really nice looking solid little horse! I agree, good picks for the competition! Watching and learning ( 30+ years of riding, with intent to adopt a mustang in the future) from Tucson AZ Thanks for sharing your mustang journey! M

I hear that a mustang is being turned back or "tipped" every now and then. Would you please explain what this actually means. Thank you.
@IsidroEspinozaHorsemanship
@IsidroEspinozaHorsemanship 5 лет назад
JayKB TIP is a program started by Mustang Heritage Foundation. It stands for “trainer incentive program”. It’s where we teach the horse to be caught, lead, pick up all four feet and load on a trailer. Once the horse knows how to do that well we find an adopter for the horse who can adopt for the same $125 price as a completely wild one. It’s a wonderful program :)
@jaykb6587
@jaykb6587 5 лет назад
@@IsidroEspinozaHorsemanship but does "tipped" mean the mustang is ready for adoption then? I hear this so often about mustangs that, apparently, are being returned to the program without training???
@IsidroEspinozaHorsemanship
@IsidroEspinozaHorsemanship 5 лет назад
They are supposed to be trained so maybe you are misunderstanding? TIP’d means gentled (lead, pick up feet and load on trailer) and adopted out. TIP’d does not mean returned to the corrals.

Megan Botha making a horse who wants to run and jump out of things run more we don’t think is a good option.

There's several ways to get the same end result. I never put a rope on one until they willingly follow me in a round pen. I grew up doing it the cowboy way the call it today but with mustang and warmbloods I've had more success with a loose horse in a round pen and a whip to direct them. But no one thing is right or wrong if the horse is treated well, safety is considered and it still results in the same training goals being achieved.
