My name is David Gray, I competed as a track athlete in my early days and in 2019 I completed my first 100km, Ultra marathon (The Action Challenge Chiltern 100km). A couple of years later I transitioned to a hybrid approach in my training. During this time I entered The Thames Path 100km and was gaining both strength and endurance. Things were going well until I was unexpectedly struck down by an Invasive Group A streptococcus infection (iGAS) and a reaction only felt by 1 in 400,000 people, nearly losing my arm and leg. This video documents my first week back following a Hybrid programme. Another step to regaining my fitness.

I wish I had a gym set up like this and the dedication to keep doing the sessions. You’re looking very strong. The ankle injury should have had a health warning to look away now! Great video Dave… keep them coming.
