This was a rough week, y'all. I'm doing my best to keep my spirits up. Regarding insurance coverage. My insurance covers both Wegovy and Ozempic however it will only kick in after I've paid my $4,500 deductible. So essentially I would have to pay the cash price until I've paid out $4,500.
@Javier casillas the $25 bridge coupon. I didn't need to use my insurance at all. I originally had 2 of the coupons which would have given me 12 full refills at $25 each.
This was a hard one for me to edit. I don't enjoy seeing myself this emotional either but I knew I had to be real. This has been a really heartbreaking experience.
My insurance doesn't cover Wegovy. I got the savings card and they said I will have to pay $800 per month. 😒 There's no way I can afford that. Does anyone know of anymore discounts for Wegovy?
Unfortunately no... but I encourage you to look at my more recent video on why I had to quit Wegovy that explains what I'm doing going forward. Hopefully it works for you too. 💜
@@mindypweightloss I watched you're video with Compounding Rx. I will calling everyone in my area tomorrow. I'll drive far if I have too. Thanks you so much!
Hey Terri, Unfortunately the $25 coupons were discontinued at the end of 2021. My most recent videos talk about what I am having to do because Wegovy is just too expensive for me. I am having to go the compounding route. My last few videos talk about that in more detail.
I just absolutely luv your videos ,we are so much the same, I was having the same issue as u regarding wagovy, now I am on ozempic and seeing the same results, u got this,u r doing AMAZING, I so look forward to your videos ❤
First off, I am super impressed with your positive attitude. I think that is where you are going to win, all day long! I personally would have spiraled. You are doing great. There will always be set backs but you are doing everything you can to fight for yourself and your own health. You should be proud of that. Look, even if you lost Wegovy tomorrow, you should be super proud of yourself; a lot of this is you, not the drug. Yes, the drug helps and I can attest to that. However, without your motivation or work, none of this would happen. Just remember that.
Thanks so much Stacy. I'm trying! In the past something like this definitely would have led to a binge. I have good days and bad but like you said, ultimately it's up to me to make this happen. We've got this!! 💗
I'm so excited for you! Remember that 60% of people don't experience major side effects and of those that do less than 7% decide that they are severe enough to quit. The odds are definitely in your favor. You're gonna crush this!! 💗
Thanks Vee. I hope so too. Production of 1.7mg and 2.4mg was increased to keep up with demand for those already established on the drug so you shouldn't have any issues finding those now.
My cycles have been slightly irregular since starting Wegovy in duration and timing (sometimes early, sometimes late). However, I will say that this is a common issue with weight loss in general so I'm not sure if I can totally attribute it to the Wegovy. My biggest issue is the amount of time it takes Ibuprofen to take effect when I have cramps... it's brutal!!
Sorry for you… 😢 in Denmark there is no discount. I pay 385$ for 1 months use of Saxenda🤯so I follow your pain…I gave up a lot of nice to haves to get the money for it. I am a pensionist due to chronic pain so not much money from the government there🙈 It should be cheaper🤷🏼♀️ In Denmark it’s not a disease to be overweight… even though I have disease called lipedema! …guess what that’s not acknowledged here! 🙈 But hey life must go on. Hope you find your way ❤️
Hi Lotte, I am 1/4 Dainish!! My grandfather migrated here to the US so im second generation American. I LOVE aebleskiver SO MUCH. 💜 Wegovy is upwards of $1,600 in the US which is why they have the discount cards here... so the best price I've found is over $800 for 4 weeks. It's absolutely nuts.
My insurance covers both Wegovy and Ozempic but I have a $4,500 deductible that has to be paid before they will pay anything on prescriptions. I plan to continue with my diet but the more I try the more I feel like my Wegovy journey is going to be over in 8 weeks. My doctor has basically told me at this point that if I want any further assistance with weight loss medication I need to see a Dr that specializes in weight loss. She's pretty much done spending time and energy on it.
My doc was able to write my prescription for ozempic off label for pcos. My insurance is covering it at about 30 dollars a box. And actually will get cheaper for some reason once I start on 1.0 pen. I don’t know if you can try that or not. Or if anyone reading the comments might need this tid bit of info
Does your insurance cover ozempic? Please don’t give up. Call your Dr. ask for samples…. This six months thing has been on my mind since I received it. I was gonna try and lose as much as I can before it ends…..

Lori, that isn't the issue... my insurance will cover it... but my insurance doesn't kick in until I've payed $4,500 out of pocket. That will not change with any kind of authorization.
Ice cream is actually surprisingly low on the glycemic index. It has less impact on blood sugar than a bowl of oatmeal. "Healthy" is such an objective thing. I would say that eating things in moderation is a far healthier choice if it allows you to maintain an eating style long term. I know plenty of professional body builders that eat Ice cream on a regular basis. So... I'll continue to eat my Ice cream in moderation. 🙂
does your dr have Ozempic or wegovy samples they’d be willing to give you a few boxes of? Does your insurance cover WLS? I know it’s better to have the noninvasive option but WLS is an option as well..
I am going to message my Dr to ask about the samples for sure. My insurance may cover WLS but I would still have the $4,500 deductible to deal with so, given the option I'd rather stick with the Wegovy.
