Actually he does owe West Coast , because without them he wouldn't of won a Premiership , have the financial freedom he does or even have this media personality status ! But in saying that he doesn't have to support the Eagles or even go for them, but I think people are peeved because he baggs them to us and then is all lovey dovey to them .
Yeah but what he is saying is that he gave everything he had for the club while he was there and in return they gave him a paycheck and they were lucky enough to win a flag together. But the ledger is clear, he has no obligation to barrack for the team. Not sure I agree with his logic entirely but I get it. When a relationship ends the history will always be there but you have no obligation to cheer for the other party.
Oh Schoey.. no one expects you to go for them like Simmo does after getting the ass. But you’re a publicly outspoken footy personality in various channels in a 2 team footy town. If you disrespect your ex club for long enough, you’re eventually gonna cop some sh*t. Schoey is free to support whoever he wants; however, I can't think of any former 1 club 200 game ex-players who openly don't support the team they played for. It's just a bit odd, unless they had a big fall out with the club which isn't the case with Schoey since he still bloody does work with the club. It's a bit weird mate.
We care because Schoey has been a much loved and respected eagles player. Played hard for the team, a premiership player and showed much courage to play when his dad passed. Loads of great memories of him playing for our beloved team, and sure he doesn’t have to be a WC fan, but it kinda hurts that he’s so vocal about it.

Melbourne train at Gosch's paddock in central Melbourne. Casey is training venue mainly offseason. They sometimes do a session at Casey during the week. Casey is one of the fastest growing areas in Victoria, so Melbourne is trying to grow the club in the outer fringes in a mainly Aussie rules loving area. Seaford was just that bit too far as a full time base for Saint Kilda.
Anyone that watches Australian sport in winter and summer has it sorted when they're teenagers. Qld NT and WA don't have daylight saving, otherwise the other states move one hour ahead (thereby increasing the difference with WA).
Wow, some people clearly forget that Football is a job and the club employs players. Much like if Woolworths employs you, you are expected to fly the company flag while wear their uniform. Once that employee/employer relationship ends then so does the mandatory support.
The other problem with Casey fields is all the road works in the area. Its better now however the past 2 years sometimes it can take 1h just to get in or out of the area

He was about a 100 game player realistically. Back injuries are tough, but he just wasn't good enough. It would have been nice for him to get to 150 games. He did well all things considered.
