Lovely meals. I do the same with my kids- eat that or go hungry. People think it’s harsh but it’s the only way. I never force them - I just say If they try it then that’s ok- don’t have to eat it all but at least give it a go! Then they get pudding - a good incentive!!

Meals look so good. Im.like you laurien im not thst keen on burgers unless i make them myself, but i do like smash burgers. That blue cheese & steak pizza looks dekicuous. I do like a white pizza, i sometimes do 1 with a savoury white sauve on the base, then chicken/ mushrooms red onion then brie on top. Yummy!! We love asparagus / courgettes , courgettes are something i buy every week they so versatile arent they. And spinach is another 1 of my favourites, anythijg green you just know is so good for you. Fish spinach & rice sounds lovely. Great choice & variety as always laurien. Really enjoy watching your meals of the week. Still need to watch your food shop haul im a bit behind this week. Went to kent last weekend fir a music festival we go thete every year for it.

No I didn't make that it was from m&s not sure if I mentioned that but I'd love to make it if you have a recipe you can recommend? People don't ever have it here really but we hear it on a lot of American TV xx
@@OrdinaryEnglishMum yeah I heard you say that you had bought it but I have never seen any of the girls over there make one or eat one it's not that hard it's just hamburger and you put onions and garlic you can even great carrot into it and red bell pepper eggs bread crumbs little milk ketchup Wooster you just mix it all up make it and I always top mine with you call it Posada and tomato paste and garlic and onion and some vinegar and brown sugar and little more ketchup and mustard is a glaze and bake it
You eat so well and it’s good that your kids pretty much eat what they’re given. Sadly my youngest would rather eat nothing than eat what was given, she would only eat quavers, yoghurts and cheese spread sandwiches at one point, I was so worried her, drs said she’d eat when she was hungry enough and not to worry but she didn’t. We had so many battles and tears at meal time and it got to the point where she went into such a state over eating that she’d actually be sick. When she was about 6 it got slightly better but she still ate very plain, ‘beige’ foods and even now, she’s 22 and has a really bad diet, no veg, not much fruit, a lot of junk food and would rather eat pasta with just cheese now she’s an adult, as a child when she was a bit older I forced her to have sauce with it. She wouldn’t eat chicken breasts, pork, beef or fish, only sausages. Now she’s an adult she does eat chicken breast occasionally, think she must’ve got it off her dad (my ex as he was very fussy as a child apparently) the older two weren’t like that at all (married twice so different dads) now twice divorced ha, single and quite happy about that 😂xx
Ah I'm sorry its just luck that mine have taken it on so well I'm so sorry you went through that with your daughter it sounds scary really. Haha I'm glad you're happy I understand that to be honest Curtis might be lovely but I don't rate men overall 🤣🤣🤣
@@OrdinaryEnglishMum ha me neither. Would love someone like Curtis in my life he seems so devoted to you and your children. My first husband cheated on me during my 2nd pregnancy and some other problems in my 2nd marriage and a couple of relationships that have put me off men and can’t see me being in a relationship in the future tbh. Yes it was awful with my youngest, i dreaded meal times, made it not a good experience at all for the rest of us. Her weight was fine, I dont know how, but yeh she’d get so wound up that she’d end up being sick and it just wasn’t worth the battle in the end to try and force her to eat what I’d prepared x
Sounds like your daughter may have/had ARFID, it's a food avoidance disorder and very hard to treat. Common but not exclusive to people on the Autistic spectrum.

I wouldn’t be surprised tbh with you, aswell as the food thing (she wouldn’t eat anything that might get sauce on her other food, ie a small dish of beans on her plate, so it wouldn’t touch the rest of her food, her behaviour in general was really bad, she wouldn’t sleep on her own unless someone stayed in bed with her until she fell asleep, she had really bad tantrums but was well behaved at school so I’m not sure. She was very funny about textures and smells and wouldn’t touch anything furry like a peach, the smell of oranges made her feel sick. Dont know enough about autism but things I’ve read, I’ve thought hmm did she have same of the traits 🤔 maybe she is as lots I have read online sounds very much like her but back then, she’s 22 it wasn’t really spoken about as much, all I did know was that she was very different from her siblings and I brought them all up the same way
Ohhhhhhh it all looks so good!!! My boys eat everything but I’ve always been strict when they were little,but now teenagers they complain if hardly any food in.x
